Avatar f tn I just found out Im pregnant after 3 long years of trying. Does having the LEEP done put me at a higher risk for miscarriage? Is there Anyone that has had a healty pregnancy after LEEP? Im so worried that something will go wrong. Im almost 5weeks and Ive been having some cramping but no bleeding.
Avatar n tn im just asking this question for a friend of mine, she is 20 weeks pregnant and we are curious about miscarriages. at this stage (20 weeks) would a miscarriage just happen normally or would a procedure have to be done if she lost her baby?
Avatar m tn When I had my miscarriage it wasn't that painful but it depends on how far you are before miscarriage.
981053 tn?1251208567 However, if there was any chance at all of it causing miscarriage I think its a safe bet that the procedure would not be used.
Avatar f tn How long do you bleed after a miscarriage at 12w2d? How long do I have to wait before I can try to conceive again?
Avatar f tn We were not expecting it at all - it was our 8th week ultrasound - we went together with my husband, just like it was routine check up, week earlier dr told us that he sees strong heartbeat and chances of miscarriage are less that 1% - we were sitting in waiting room, happy, joking, when the nurse did ultrasound and said she saw empty sac - I did not know what she was talking about.
10206952 tn?1408930334 ^^^ CHORIONIC VILLUS SAMPLING. NOT "virus". It is an invasive procedure in which a needle is directed into the placenta with ultrasound guidance to remove some placental tissue. Typically, performed to evaluate fetal chromosomes in high risk pregnancies and determine if aneuploidy is present in the fetus. Risks include miscarriage, membrane rupture, infection, and even puncturing the fetus! Performed in the 1st trimester.
8757136 tn?1403562115 Hi ladies, I was reading about the amniocentesis testing, where they check the baby's health by collecting amniotic fluid and the possible chances of spontaneous miscarriage. ( 1 in 300 to 500 chance) It's not known whether the test itself causes it or if a certain percentage of women have miscarriages during the second trimester.
Avatar f tn It all depends.. one, are you sure you had a miscarriage? Like seen by ultrasound, or d&c. Second, i also got pregnant immediately after my miscarriage.. it was so close I thought it was possible to still be the miscarriage pregnancy, but that was impossible since I had confirmation on my miscarriage. And lastly, it could be your left.over hormones... but three weeks is a long time for those to be high enough to register a positive on a pregnancy test.
Avatar f tn Hey there, I am sorry to hear about your loss :( I didn't chose either initially, I wanted to miscarry naturally at home, However, I did not get my wish, Some women including me have trouble passing all the tissue and then ALOT of bleeding occurs, this happened to me twice which ended up with me passing out in hospital and having to have the D&C anyways, the D&C procedure itself obviously carried some risk but these are minimal, the risk are that you may have scarring inside, or tha
1591403 tn?1297103283 I had a tubal and reversal done 10 yrs later. Had a miscarriage and two ectopic pregnancies where both tubes were removed. I had my embryo transfer on 2/5/11 and test is not until 2/21/11. I have slight cramping and sore breast and nipples. How long does the cramping usually last?
Avatar f tn I have no bledding and Im afraid to go under DC procedure. I had a DC procedure 8 month ago, due to a miscarriage at 4 month of pregn. I dont know if it good to wait for a coulpe of days, maybe the body expel itself the tissue or shall i Go through DC? Two miscrriage had already devastated me, I feel like there is no hope for me anymore. I desparately wanted the baby, but I am so unlucy. God, its too hard to cope with this grief. I wish none of you experiece this. Please write to me.
Avatar f tn I'm so sorry lady. I had a missed miscarriage at 18 weeks and had to get a d&e. It wasn't really that bad because I was put under. I bled for about a month. it took me 6 months from the date of the miscarriage to get pregnant again. Finding out and then the baby's due date were the toughest parts. I suggest talking about it to people. You would be amazed how many people have gone through a miscarriage. You are not alone through this hard time.
Avatar f tn Had my doctor visit yesterday and the worst has been realised I had a missed miscarriage, the sack is not raptures so I go into hospital for them to do the procedure to rapture the sack. I'm being strong for my family but deep down I am so scared.
Avatar f tn I had a natual miscarriage on 9/10/2017 this year ( 6 weeks, no procedure, follow-up ultrasound/internal check ups/ urine tests confirmed all tissue was gone). Bleeding stoped on 9/17. My period has not came yet. I have the dull pain on lower left abdomen since 9/12 and still going now. Advil or Tylenol don't help much. One GP from urgent care thinks I have IBS. But my stool is good. OBGNY doctor thinks may be the scar tissue(s) from 2014 I fixed my tiled uterus by Laparoscopy.
Avatar f tn Has anyone had this procedure done before what should I expect? Is it painful? Scheduled to have this done on Thursday post ultrasound. First time pregnant and now not a viable pregnancy.
Avatar m tn We scheduled it for a week later, and the morning of the procedure they did a final ultrasound and saw a heartbeat! However, the embryo still measured a week behind and the sac was still too small... They did give me progesterone supplements to support the pregnancy since my levels were low and dropping. I'm still in limbo now at 9 wks waiting for my next ultrasound next week to see if things are still progressing...
1278093 tn?1294320384 Hello there. My risk came back as 1:13 so I too chose amnio. All I really did to prepare was ask an awful lot of questions of the clinic and in particular the Dr. who would be performing the procedure. I came to find that his actual risk factor was about 1:1600 and he had been doing this for a very long time. This helped a great deal. Other then that, my DH and I sat through a class beforehand that explained the procedure and away we went. For me there was really no discomfort at all.
Avatar f tn I went for my 8 week sonogram last week and the doctor saw an empty sac. I had blood drawn twice to see if my hormones were decreasing, and they were. The doctor told me it will be a miscarriage and wants me to have it naturally, but I've been told to have the procedure instead. What do you recommend? I'm ok with doing it naturally. Plus, I just moved so I don't have a new doctor yet.
Avatar f tn She went to the hospital because of cramps they told her she was 97% having a miscarriage due to her sack being one size and the fetus being another. They also told her that at 7 weeks they should be able to hear a heart beat. I thought you couldn't hear a heartbeat at 7 weeks?
Avatar f tn I must admit though on the way to the hospital and while waiting for the procedure I really wanted them to do another ultrasound just in case which was really shocking to me, I had seen the ultrasound the day before and there was nothing there - just an age appropriate yolk sac and some of the amniotic sac, the baby had been reabsorbed by that time ( it stopped developing at six weeks we didn't know until almost 12 weeks).
Avatar f tn I had a missed miscarriage when I was almost 16 weeks pregnant ...I had no cramps no symptoms other than bright red bleeding ..after the ultrasound confirmed no heartbeat the Dr determined the baby had passed away around 14-15 weeks gestation so it took me almost 2 weeks to bleed ...I had to get a dnc ...
