Avatar f tn Hi, I have been trying to fall pregnant for over 2 years now with 1 miscarriage 12 months ago. I have started IVF treatment and am taking Lucrin injections, I am about to go back to my clinic on Monday (31/10/11) to get my next lot of injections to start stimulating my ovaries. I had a pap smear on Friday (21/10/11) and got an abnormal result and I am booked in for a Colposcopy on Thursday (3/11/11). Could this stop my IVF treatment?
Avatar f tn I miscarried at 4 weeks with the "normal" miscarriage symptoms. My levels dropped from 3200 to 2800 to finally 1800...and then stayed at 1800. Two weeks later my miscarriage symptoms repeated themselves almost identical to the first time. I do not return to the doctor for add'l bloodwork until Tues. Any ideas? Anyone out there had any similar happen?
Avatar f tn I'm looking for a bv treatment that's bv safe. Its early to go to the doctor cause I'm only ( that's what they told me) but I'm worried about taking medicine.
Avatar f tn Is there any natural treatment for hypo? I will talk to my endo next week. However, I am pregnant so any info on natural treatment would be great. THANKS!
Avatar n tn Unfortunately, miscarriages do happen to approx one out of five pregnancies, whether or not they occur naturally or as a result of IVF or other fertility treatment. Thus, chances of a second miscarriage are in the 20% range. If you have good quality frozen embryos, you might want to consider that route, or another fresh cycle. I am very optimistic that your chances for a healthy pregnancy are good, based on your age and your response during your IVF cycle in the past. Good luck!

Avatar f tn Last month i went for a followup exam, from a laser treatment i had on my cervix, over a year ago.The results showed that I have to go in for another laser treatment.I just recently found out that I am pregnant. Can i still go for this treatment and if i cant how likely is it that these abnormal cells can develop into somethin else during my pregnancy?
1414894 tn?1288769040 As dydrogesterone helps regulate the healthy growth and normal shedding of the womb lining, it may be used in the treatment of menstrual disorders such as absent, irregular or painful menstrual periods, infertility, premenstrual syndrome and endometriosis. It may also be used to minimise the overgrowth of the womb lining due to oestrogen (the main female sex hormone) in hormone replacement therapy (HRT) following menopause.
Avatar f tn A d&c is something not effective at getting everything out. After any type of miscarriage it can take weeks for the hCG levels to drop back down to 0. If there was still tissue in there, then that could still be producing hCG and cause you to test positive. When I was getting my d&C, I was told that in about 1in 5 d&c do not get everything out and it needs to be repeated. Not everyone responds the same to medication, and so you could just be having mild side effects of it.
Avatar f tn Does endo in fact cause m/cs and what are my chances of ever having a baby? Would the Lap surgery increase my chances or would Lupron treatment be better? (She told my husband my endo isn't "that bad.") Thank you!
Avatar f tn I had heavy bleeding with lot of big clots for about 3 hours with no pain... just lower back discomfort. Went to ER, they gave me prcocet and 3 tablets in my bum to help me with the miscarriage. I was on IV for and later gave me morphine. I didn't experience pain at all, blood Hb went from 119 to 106. Next day had an U/S and diagnosed complete miscarriage. Still bleeding and swollen uterus. Not sure if it was complete miscarriage?
Avatar m tn At the time I just remember being terrified it was sooo much blood and clots and soo fast I was to scared to think to REALLY look in the toilet but at glance it was soo much blood the toilet looked as it was was completely blood filled and multiple clots. Could this have been a miscarriage? If not what else could it have been??
Avatar f tn I have had it many time previously and when I was first pregnant about 10 weeks I started having symptoms I just called my doctor and she called in a prescription for me....

873190 tn?1304812975 I am 39 years old and I am in the process of having my third consecutive miscarriage. At six weeks vaginal us, empty gestational sac. And again today (six weeks six days) still empty sac. I'll go back next week to confirm blighted ovum and probably do a d&c. We started seeing a specialist after my second miscarriage and he ran ALL of the blood work. The whole shabang, and found nothing that would indicate any problems.
Avatar m tn Im really sorry to hear you had a miscarriage, may i ask if you have been tested for APS better known as antiphospolipid syndrome. APS can cause miscarriage, and i feel that everyone who has a miscarriage should be tested for this. Its very simple to test for, a simple blood test. It can also cause bleeding problems too. It is better known as sticky blood syndrome, and usually the worst parts it can cause problems is the brain and placenta. I hope this as helped you, i feel sad for your loss.
1553391 tn?1326997179 I had a miscarriage on Dec. 28, 2010. It was a very hard experience for me as it is with everyone else. Anywho, my doctor told me on my visit that everything was fine and everything looked good including my cervix but then followed up by telling me not to allow ANYthing to penetrate my vagina for 4weeks. Like most other women I want to see what happens now and this might be TMI but i really enjoy sex and soo this creates more than one issue for me.
1452062 tn?1286160675 Today is officially my first day of hope. I'm now on clomid treatment and will take it from Oct. 4-8. I was told that my fertile days are Oct. 13-15 and so I was told to go back to my doctor on Oct. 14 to undergo ultrasound to check if my eggs have fertilized and to have an injection, that is to help release the egg. I've read a lot about the clomid treatment but I've never heard about the injection part. Is this really the usual process? Any thoughts on this? Please share.
Avatar f tn i had a miscarriage last year and got pregnant again 9 months later! But in those 9 months I only tracked my period one time...which was the month in which I got pregnant again...99% of the time miscarriages are unavoidable and there was nothing you couldve done to stop it from happening.....but just keep trying..it will happen again!!!!
5254452 tn?1365626751 I am sorry to know about the miscarriage. Usually bleeding after miscarriage does not last for more than two weeks. After the bleeding stops in 10 to 15 days the miscarriage is considered complete. In few situations the bleeding may last long. An incomplete miscarriage or presence of pregnancy tissues which may be left in the uterus may be few possibilities. If the symptoms are severe and persistent a clinical examination may be necessary.
Avatar f tn I just had a positive hpt this week. I had an already scheduled appt with my dr the day after. He did an ultrasound and could see a gestational sac but nothing else and he said my HCg is really low and that sometimes is an indicator of a blighted ovum. This pregnancy was a complete surprise and I didn't really have too much time to process the fact that I'm pregnant before he said that so I really do feel like emotionally I'm ok if I do miscarry.
