I had a miscarriage back in Aug...I started bleeding on a Wed, checked my hcg at 1000, bled heavily thru Fri, checked my hcg went down a lot. I continued bleeding alil lighter for a week and had my hcg checked 2 more times bcuz they wanted to see it go down to 0 and it finally did. I'm so sorry, it sounds like a miscarriage. Don't lose hope!

t see anything either but my hcg level was pretty low and by progesterone was low. It may be a miscarriage but I doubt it's an ectopic. You would be in intense extreme pain. But everyone is different with the symptoms. It is a good sign your hcg levels are going up. Since Maybe everything will be okay. Only time will tell.

So my hcg levels at 4 weeks were very low @ 37 and in 4 days have only rised to 66 so stress out:(

I am now pregnant and doc is concerned with low hcg/progesterone levels. I have cycles that last 33-35 days, always an extra week in bewtween. Tomorrow I will know results of the second HCG and progesterone test. I am so worried. I have symptoms, but the doctor has a presription for prometrium on hold for me awaiting these results. Any thoughts??

I assumed I was 8 weeks because my LMP on 8/10/08 was irregular. I had a blood test because due to the previous miscarriage (I had low HCG then) I wanted some reaassurance. My blood test was only 85.3 and the doctor told me that is extremely low and that I am only 4-5 weeks pregnant. I am worried because of the low number and think I may have another miscarriage. I scheduled another blood test for 9/13/08 to see if they increase. It is possible to have such a low number and not miscarry?

Hi Kjbutcher Thanks so much for your response and positive words. Unfortunately today I got the news I was dreading from the hospital, another missed miscarriage. My HCG levels have gone back down to 41. This is now my fourth miscarriage. 2 missed and 2 complete. I feel strangely calm and thoughtful at the moment or may be it's just because I feel so numb having gone through this so many times. I feel more angry than anything.

As everyone else has suggested, they should be checked again to see for sure what they are doing. But generally, if they drop, that usually indicates a miscarriage or impending miscarriage. The other possibility is that it could be what is called "vanishing twin." This is where you were pregnant with twins, and then one "vanishes." Basically, you lose one twin. This sometimes does cause bleeding, and it does explain the drop in hcg without total miscarriage. Good luck.

My doc office called and said my blood work came back and my progesterone levels were "kinda low". She wants to put me on progesterone suppositories 2x a day until 12 weeks. I'm currently 9w 2d. I don't have any symptoms of low progesterone such as bleeding, spotting, really tender breasts. Any one else experience this? This is my 4th pregnancy and never had an issue with my hormone levels. Oh and I asked what my hcg levels were and she said they didn't check!

I had my last m/c in sept of last yr and I felt dizzy and went to the er I had my first hcg draw and it was pretty low for being 5 1/2 wks. I went back and had them drawn and they went up only 30 numbers and then 3 days later I lost my baby in the er. I have had 6 m/cs and they have all been very different for me. I know that a normal healthy pg can start out having low numbers but at some point they begin to double etc. I would go back and have another blood draw.

I always have low hcg levels and it always results in a miscarriage, but this time I have a new doctor and she put me on progesterone. Call your doc and see if it is an option for you. Just an idea. It is hard not to worry! Good luck and stay positive!

Did your Dr put you on progesterone of some kind? That's really low and you need to get on something asap. I have low progesterone and I have to be on a prescription plus an essential oil (Progessence) that boosts it.

Hi ladies , I woke up in trauma in the E.R last night with no idea what happened. I went out to a pretty rock to relax with friends and apparently passed out and wasn't concious for over an hour. I woke up getting oxygen and 2 bags of fluid and running many tests. As scary as it was. I wanted to make sure everything was OK with my baby. They tested my hcg levels in my blood and said they are very low. I have to go back to the E.R Saturday night and get more blood work done.

It does sound like a miscarriage. Your hcg dropped in half, that is not good. Its weird that you havent had any bleeding but it could start any time.. The progesterone of 8 is very low... Low progesterone could have been the cause of your miscarriage and in future pregnancy, if you want more, you could potentially take supplements if they are low again....

July 16 went to have a TVS u/s and there was no sac yet because hcg was still too low and also ruled out ectopic. Yesterday July 18 hcg at 212 and because it only rose 43 % in 3 days, doctor told me to expect a miscarriage. I also had very very light brownspotting for 3 days now. Do you think this is an impending miscarriage or is there still hope? Hope to hear from you..

they called me 2 days later to tell me that my HCG dropped so low they confirmed it to be a miscarriage but I still have my prego symptoms and all I only bled for one day & spotted for another day and I stopped bleeding. They gonna keep a close look on my HCG level to make sure it drops to under 5. What I am saying with this story is that I don't believe I miscarriage & I'm still pregnant... Has anyone ever gone through something like this? I would love to hear your story...

Okay so I had my miscarriage starting 5 Jun where my levels went down to 14 immediately on the 8 Jun. All my symptoms went away and my levels were very low to start with so I'm pretty sure I'm not dealing with left over hormones here. About 4 days ago my bb's started to get sensitive and had a bit of back ache, normally I get that a day before AF shows up. Took HPT on Monday 22 Jun and got a neg.

The doctor said my levels are below normal. My hcg levels came out at 1828... does anyone else have that low of a number? I don't have any symptoms of a miscarriage.

Hello all, I just got my BFP on May 26th! I was terrified however so I went straight to my doc who did an hcg test on the 27th. She left a message saying my numbers were "low but still ok" I had a miscarriage last August so this news did not make me feel good at all I cried all day! My number was 115, so I go back for another on the 29th and she says it looks great at now a 280! Why do doctors do this to you? And why am I still worried?

Hey there, the low levels of HCG, just like the doctor says, could be that you are only just pregnant and that is why they are low, or you were pregnant already and if the HCG levels are very low it can be a sign of impending miscarriage.

In fact, during my last miscarriage in October, my hcg continued to go up (another 1000 points) for two weeks after the miscarriage. So in all honesty, I would prepare yourself for another miscarriage, and pray for a miracle. Again, I'm so sorry for your losses.
