Avatar f tn Anyone around that can't wait to get out of the first trimester so maybe I can worry about miscarriage a little less?? Mannnn!
Avatar f tn First Trimester It’s undeniable that bleeding or spotting in the first trimester may mean a miscarriage, but it can also mean other issues. About half of women who have first-trimester vaginal bleeding have a miscarriage. That might sound scary, but that also means that half of women who have bleeding don't miscarry. Light brown-tinged spotting can happen after a pelvic exam or sexual intercourse, but this type of spotting should stop within a day or so.

1065258 tn?1273784139 At my first sppointment I was 4.5 weeks and they actually did an ultrasound. I was shocked, but of course it was too early to see anything besides the gestational sac. They did a blood test for hcg and progesterone, and I went back 2 days later for another blood draw. I also asked them to screen for toxo because I felt the chances that id been exposed were fairly high as ive been eating rare meat and cookie dough all my life (was hoping for immunity but it came back negative).
Avatar f tn After the first trimester its no longer called a miscarriage but yes you can still lose your child. I lost mine at 5in a half months but they said he passed weeks before and I never had any symptoms. I'm taking it easy with this pregnancy but I still worry.

Levels improving slightly over the months. Doing blood tests every 6 weeks or so. Was late this week and yes instincts were right. Phoned gynae seeying him for first appt on Wednesday next.
Avatar f tn It's perfectly normal, your almost at your second trimester when symptoms generally ease off. Every pregnancy is different to. With my first baby I had no symptoms the entire time except needing to pee more in the last trimester and his a perfectly healthy 20 month old.

Avatar f tn s miscarriage symptoms in the first trimester or via first-trimester ultrasound for other reasons. If the woman does not have any signs of miscarriage, the diagnosis might not come until in the early second trimester when the baby's heartbeat does not become audible on a heart rate monitor. This miscarriage is common and many woman go on to have a successful pregancy next time.
Avatar f tn t tell everyone till I got into my second trimester bc the first trimester is when most complications happen. I did tell a hand full of people sooner knowing they wouldn't say anything.
Avatar n tn The person giving you massage should certified to do so when you are expecting. There are points that shouldn't be massaged in pregnancy. I have read this several places and was told the same by my acupuncturists. I would think you would be ok but make sure your next one is done by someone certified.
Avatar f tn I'm really nervous om 19 this is my first pregnancy I have a tipped uterus and hypothyroidism I'm in my first trimester I literally just found out I'm pregnant. What can I do to prevent miscarriage? Is there anything I can avoid ?

Avatar f tn s normal to be this nervous to make it past the first trimester. Just need something to calm my nerves.
Avatar n tn I didn't have any symptoms with my first and experienced no symptoms again in 1st trimester with my 2nd (in 2nd trimester now- I didn't even know I was pregnant until 17 wks since I'm breastfeeding I haven't had a period). I would say do something to help relieve stress as that can wreak all types of havoc on your body. I know sometimes it's easier said than done, but it's worth a shot and could help with a healthy pregnancy. I wish you all the best Momma.
