I had some dark (brown) blood early on in my pregnancy. I scheduled an appointment ans they did an ultrasound... all was fine (TG!) I am currently 36 weeks. They told me the dark blood is "old" blood and can be common. You should definitely report this to your doctor, but know that it doesn't necessarily mean there is a problem Hope that gives you some peace of mind and that all is well!

I'll be 15 weeks tomorrow but saw dark colored blood when I used the bathroom. I'm so scared. I had a miscarriage a few years ago at 11 weeks and had to have a d&c and lost lots of blood. I messaged my doctor to see what she says but I'm honestly freaking out.

But they are right it is a Sign!!!! Is it dark red blood?? Like darker than your regular period or the same??

I just went to the bathroom and saw a LOT of dark brown blood. I will be 11 weeks on Thursday. I have had complications with blood clots early on in pregnancy as a result of my thrombophilia (clotting of blood). The doctor told me that we want to see brown discharge and small clumpy things coming out. I did see some of that a few weeks ago. BUT NOW - I am full blown bleeding dark dark brown. I am petrified. I am racing to the doctor.

I have already had my period and about six days ago I started bleeding heavy red blood then it has turned to dark brown/black blood and I had severe cramping at the start. Could I have misscaried?

If you were my patient, I would want you to report your bleeding to me, but, I would probably advise you that if the blood is minimal and dark, it will probably go away and your baby will be fine. If the bleeding becomes bright red , then your should call right away. Hope this helps!

It was taken on Tues 8/17 yesterday, I was spotting dark brown.. but last night, I felt the blood running out, when, I looked in the bathroom, I had to change underwear Then I was good all night, I would only see it if I wipe . Today, I felt it again and I changed and this time when pushed a clot came out not bigger than a quarter. But my concern is that its bright red. This will be my 4th pregnancy and I remember spotting dark brown and they said not to worry, uterus is shedding.

If it is dark brown blood its probably old blood.I had similar symptoms except no blood clot but after about 12 weeks it stopped I am now almost 18 weeks pregnant and my baby girl if perfectly fine.. Just monitor bleeding if ur bleeding thru one pad in less then an hr or with cramps call ur doctor back..

well i had them same symptoms when i was 5 weeks pregnant , the blood was dark brown then went bright red with fleshy bits i went hospital n they took a pregnancy test and it said negative n they told me i had suffered a miscarriage i suggust you go to the hospital asap x

I got my period on time but it was light brown spotting the second day it was heavier but still no red only dark redish black blood and now its day 3 and it is fairly heavy black looking blood still no red I have been getting cramps for a week I had laparoscopy for endometriosis over 4 months ago me and my partner have been ttc but no luck anyone have any idea's??

i had that problem wit my 2nd preg it was caused by placenta previa i cramped all the time and bleed dark blood they always told me as long as its dark its ok bright blood means theres a problem just keep me updated i hope everythings ok how far along are u?

sometimes ur body needs some time to go back to normal after a miscarriage. brown blood is usually old blood left out from a previous cycle and isnt always a sign that some thing is wrong. just to rule out pregnancy u always need to take a test once ur period is late or lighter cuz this also happens when ur pregnant.

m wondering if the light spotting I had the one time today and the ease in pregnancy symptoms could be a sign of early miscarriage? I am still sensitive to smells, and my boobs are sore, I'm also gaggy and can't handle to eat certain things. Just not nearly as sick as I've been. I had a very early miscarriage last May-June. I had gotten a positive test and a few days later I started to bleed while vomiting. It was relatively painless and the flow was pretty much the same as a period, just a little heavier. Not long after my symptoms started to disappear (I vomit and have constant nausea while pregnant so that was a 100% indicator it was a miscarriage) and blood work confirmed my levels dropping.

I think its just your period. Brown blood is just old blood. But if you think its abnormal or if your experiencing any pregnancy symptoms after it goes away then take a test.

well today i went to the bathroom and after i whipped i saw some dark stuff on the tissue like dark red or brown can i be miscarriage but my pregnant test came back negative.

That whole day when i would wipe it would be either dark red, brown or pink blood (not enough to fill even a panty liner). Now yesterday i had about a quarter size amount of redish brown blood on my panty liner. I then bled dark red blood with small dark clots for about 6 hours on and off then nothing mostly when i would wipe, but i did pee some blood and small clots out. This morning it was back to pink spotting when i wipe. And now it's the dark red blood only when i wipe.

I had many symptoms of being pregnant, late period, cravings, sickness, fatigue etc. I always have similar and regular periods so this was strange for us. I had stomach pains and back pains that were incredibly painful and then I started to bleed, it was not a normal period in my eyes... It was heavy painful and a lot of lining was discharged... This worried me and I looked up the symptoms of a miscarriage. My boyfriend suggested I seek medical attention which was most definitely necessary.

I see my doctor on the 12th and plan on asking her then, I just wanted some other opinions. Some of my family said it looked like tissue, others said a blood clot. But this wasn't dark like a blood clot.
