For me, it was!! I'm 28 weeks today & have been feeling 3rd trimester symptoms I'm the last week. The second trimester is full of cool new experiences & fewer pains. I got over morning sickness, wanted to eat, craved foods, really started feeling the baby, didn't really have any aches or pains, felt much more energetic, family could begin to feel her, & it was cool to watch my belly grow before it got big & bulky. I stopped spotting at 15 weeks and i was very worried to at first i went to the er twice for the same and they would chrck but nothing then i was told it happens to some women during their first and part of second trimester and i guess its true bc now at 34 weeks my baby boy is perfectly fine and very healthy.

Once you're in you're second trimester you're on the safer side. I had a miscarriage last year while I was in my first trimester so I was a bit worried with this pregnancy. Now that I'm almost in my 3rd trimester I feel safer.

i agree with the prev post that your just about into the second trimester which is also known as the easiest trimester... i am 9 weeks and my nausea seems to be letting off already and with my last it wasnt till the 13th week... every pregnancy is different... in fact some women may only have stong symptoms for days not even weeks...and some have breaks where it gets better then comes back ... if your really worried you can talk to your Dr... do you have an appointment coming up soon?

m currently 9 weeks 2 days. And I was just wondering is miscarriage high Risk at this point ? Should I be worried or am I just paranoid. I'm too scared to do anything like bending down or shivvering too much or taking a bath too hot . Witch is crazy I know it is. But im scared to loose this baby. I just went through my 2nd second trimester miscarriage at 14 weeks. 3 Months before I lost in February at the end of 21 weeks. No problem with the baby but my cervix just flops open and that's it. Now for future pregnancies I have to have a cerclage but I'm still worried. 23 years old Hyperthyroid but never was the cause for the miscarriage and is mild so far. Has anyone experience second trimester loss? And/or had a cerclage?

Its when you're cervix is incompetent- doesn't function correctly or the way its supposed to... it happenes in you're second trimester when the baby starts getting a little bigger usually between 17-23 weeks. The cervix can't hold the weight of the baby and you begin dilating without any symptoms. So eventually one day you're menbranes come out or youre water breaks and you have the baby. You are in your second trimester at 14 weeks. The risk of miscarriage does decrease substantially after 12 weeks and even as soon as you hear your babies heart beat through a fetal doppler. Mostly is after the first trimester, or when a hertbeat is detected. With my second pregnancy last october we had a hertbeat and i thought i was safe but at 7 1/2 weeks the baby's heart stopped. So i m/c again. Honestly you never relax until you have your baby in your arms. And for those who had a m/c you are always afraid.

I have had a first trimester miscarriage and a second trimester miscarriage within 6 months. One in July and one in December. I was wondering if it was because of my iron deficiency? Honey, there is almost nothing you can do to cause a miscarriage. Number one reason for first trimester miscarriage is a chromosomnal abnormality. Second reason is a medical issue or enviromental factors such as drug use, smoking or heavy drinking. That being said, in second and third trimester rough sex is probably not a great idea.
