(Let alone a study that rates a whole lot of women on their uterus shape and then follows up to see if their miscarriage rate is higher than average.) I don't think anyone even knows how many women have anomalous shapes of uterus, many might and it is never detected. All of the heart-shaped uterus studies I have seen have begun with a woman who has had a problem, and then they have determined that the uterus was or wasn't an unusual shape.
But once you have IVF, the statistics are the same for miscarriage. One in four pregnancies will result in miscarriage no matter the means of conception.

I have heard that it is more difficult for a man to contract the virus from an infected female, is this correct? I have tried to find transmittal rates, but the only ones I have found are when suppressive therapy is involved. Can anyone shed any light on this for me? I am close to having sex with her, but still feel a little uneasy. Whenever we do, I will use condoms, but I understand that this is only 30-40% effective. Any advice anyone can give is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
A recent study on hsv2 that involved pcr swabbing 4x/day showed that sometimes shedding literally is just hours.
It can theoretically cause birth problems because it's a live vaccine. I'm no doctor but I did some research on the subject when getting my MMR shot in 2012. Please read the Center for Disease Control's info. A study done in the 70s and 80s didn't show an increase in Congenital Rubella Syndrome. Also the rates for miscarriage didn't increase when compared to the general population. It might make you feel better. Ask your doctor for more up to date info.
In my case, I was never happy with the SVR rates for standard treatment, especially in light of the serious side effects they produce in some people. "Confirming that once someone has HSV1 in one location on their body, itis highly unlikely they would get the virus in a new location." - yes, this is true, but I'd still avoid contact with an outbreak. I have ghsv2. I wouldn't give oral sex to someone with a ghsv2 outbreak so as to avoid getting it orally.
