Avatar n tn Different jurisdictions operate differently in terms of what can be allowed in the process of In vitro fertilization. E.g some places allow for a transfer of up to five days. In short, I wish to know what differences in In Vitro Fertilization procedure increase chances of conception? Are there any jurisdictions that have proven to be more successful in getting couple to conceive via IVF? Any thoughts or info on these issues are very much appreciated. Thanks.
Avatar f tn My husband and I are considering In Vitro Fertilization. My husband has a recipricol translocation between chromosomes 11 & 22. Basically, that means that chromosome 11 & 22 have switched places. Thus, putting us at a high risk of having children with abnormalities and miscarriages. I have had 2 miscarriages so far and no successful pregnancies. We have been trying for about 2 years. I am currently on my first round of clomid.
Avatar m tn Researchers assessed stress levels among women undergoing their first in vitro fertilization treatment and found similar pregnancy rates in women reporting high levels of anxiety and depression and women who did not. Previous studies evaluating the role of stress in the success or failure of infertility treatments have been mixed, with some suggesting a strong link and others finding no link at all.

Avatar n tn The aim of this study was to verify whether anti-thyroid antibodies are present in the follicular milieu of euthyroid infertile women with thyroid autoimmunity undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) and whether IVF outcome is different in affected women with respect to negative controls. A secondary endpoint was to check whether there are changes in thyroid hormone levels during the IVF cycle.
Avatar n tn Hello, Pregnancy can occur after tubal ligation if the procedure fails. The failure rates, the reason for failure and the timing of a failure all depend on the type of sterilization procedure and the skill of the surgeon performing the procedure. If you suspect pregnancy I would advise you an early ultrasound to determine the location of the pregnancy since the chances of ectopic pregnancy are high after tubal ligation.
Avatar f tn I know they are estrogen "fed." But I did find this.. I saw your post earlier, I just don;t knwo that much about them, but I thought you would find this interesting? "Complications Whether uterine polyps lead to infertility remains controversial. However, if you have uterine polyps and you've been experiencing infertility, removal of the polyps might boost your fertility.
Avatar f tn When you say, "test tube baby," do you mean in-vitro fertilization? If you were to do it using your own eggs, your chances of Downs are about the same as if you were to get pregnant the normal way, which does not in fact mean you would have that high of a chance. Your chances of Downs rise most when you are 40, not 35. I would not be that scared of Downs at this point, but do let your doctor advise you on this point.
Avatar n tn A recent study in Human Reproduction looked at successful rates of delivery of a child after sterilization, comparing reversal of sterilization to IVF (in vitro fertilization). The results showed that surgical reversal was a better option for women under the age of 37, and IVF was a better option for women over the age of 37. If you are not getting pregnant with the Siphene in the next few months, IVF would be an option to consider (51.
Avatar f tn Since you have been unable to conceive since last 5 years the other treatment options for you are intrauterine insemination, in which the man´s previously capacitated sperm are introduced in the woman’s uterus during ovulation. Other options are in vitro fertilization, in vitro fertilization with intracytoplasmic sperm injection insemination and/or IVF and ICSI may need to be considered. 20822278 tn?1523714349 In some women with fertility problems, semen is placed manually during in vitro fertilization procedures. Somehow, the semen has to get inside of the woman. While it only takes one sperm to actually fertilize the egg, it takes millions of sperm to breakdown the corona (barrier) on the outside of the egg. So, if there is no penetration and ejaculation, it is difficult to get enough sperm to the egg, for fertilization to occur.
Avatar f tn Have a tubal re-anastomosis (which is a major surgery and usually not covered by insurance) or in vitro fertilization--you would probably be an excellent candidate--but again, cost is often an issue. A reproductive endocrinologist could help you decide which is the best route for you to take. Good luck!
Avatar n tn Tubal reconstruction is an option, as is in-vitro fertilization, and also adoption. The reason I mention the latter is that tubal reconstruction and in-vitro cannot guarantee you a girl.
318269 tn?1241350235 I use the dollar tree tests and they have always been accurate for me so I would say congrats!!!!! The ones Ive used this pregnancy it seems to take a minute or 2 for the second line to appear. I would say the one last night if you would have given it more time was probably pos. The one from today as long as it came up within the time frame is deffinitly pos. I have never gotten any evap lines from them but ive read on other boards that they are prone to evap lines after the time limit.

1299014 tn?1273247877 I had two spontaneous pregnancies, four insemination and one in vitro fertilization ( 2 embryos) ,all ended with miscarriage as early as 5 weeks (8 weeks at most). In my eighth pregnancy (miscarried two weeks ago) I had heparin shots twice a day ( clexane 0.2 -2000UI anti-Xa) plus baby aspirin and I lost the fetus in 5 weeks. Was it the appropriate dose or it must be reconsidered? I am 1.63 m high and weigh 60 kg if it is calculated according to weight!
