Miscarriage rate after seeing heartbeat

Common Questions and Answers about Miscarriage rate after seeing heartbeat

miscarriage

1257199 tn?1277770517 I was wondering if anyone ( I know there are cases, just wondering how common) has had a miscarriage after seeing their baby's healthy heartbeat? I had a miscarriage in October, and they never found a heartbeat. I am now eleven weeks along, and have seen my baby's heartbeat twice now (and what a beautiful sight). My husband thinks we are pretty much out of the woods now, and I am just still so worried that something may go wrong, which I am sure is a normal emotion.
9215866 tn?1403133867 that baby only measured to 8w3d at the 9 week scan with no heartbeat. Does my chances of a miscarriage drop after seeing the heartbeat? I have my 12 week scan in 1-2 weeks & I am scared of not seeing a heartbeat again :( Just don't want to get my hopes up.
Avatar f tn I know these things sound good but I was wondering what the miscarriage rate is after seeing a heartbeat. I know of two people who miscarried after seeing this so I'm still really concerned. They are telling me to relax and just enjoy the process now but I'm still needing reassurnace. What do you think?
234013 tn?1231110193 is not concerned and said I could do this throughout my first trimester. What is the percentage rate of miscarriage now that a heartbeat has been seen?
Avatar f tn Started bleeding yesterday was sent to hospital for a scan and was told I was bleeding because of a haematoma but luckily got to see the heartbeat, I burst out crying as its my 4th preg but ive never see it before does anyone know the risk of miscarriage after seeing the heartbeat At 6 weeks?
389578 tn?1295354327 ) i heard that miscarriage rates drop dramatically after a heartbeat is detected, however i just read that woman with a history of recurrent miscarriages ,the odds dont drop they stay the same im on 400mg cyclogest progesterone once daily and 75mg baby asprin 1 daily and im taking my prenatals any help would be so great right now thanks chloe
5682685 tn?1372347777 The lower the fetal heart rate is around 6-8 weeks the higher the miscarriage rate can be predicted.A fetal heart rate below 70 beats per minute around 6-8 weeks usually predicts a miscarriage. A fetal heart rate below 90 beats per minutes is associated with a 86% miscarriage rate, and a fetal heart rate below 120 bpm is associated with a approximately 50% miscarriage rate.
9381846 tn?1403742278 My baby heartbeat 2 weeks ago was at a healthy 160 and then a week after was at a 146 and 4 days later was at a 143, i'm freaking out as i dont want to miscarriage im at 13 weeks today and i had some bleeding and they told me that i had some hemorrhage around the baby and im freaking out as i dont want to loose this baby like the other one. Please i need advice.
Avatar n tn s heart rate will be slower than it will be at 9 weeks. As a rule of thumb, when the heart rate at 6w1d is 100 or more, the chances of an ongoing pregnancy (in younger women) is probably > 90%. If < 100 (in younger women) the chances are still pretty good but drop to around 60%. At 6.5-7.0 weeks and beyond, the cutoff number becomes 120 beats per minute. 4) I too am not worried about a 6w1d ultrasound at 6w5d.
1255198 tn?1269317155 I was told that the chances of fetal death after seeing a heartbeat were very low. I never expected this to happen to me especially after having a healthy first pregnancy. I opted for a D&C because I couldnt bare the thought of carrying the baby any longer and I definitely wouldnt have been able to handle seeing the fetal tissue pass. The procedure was fine- light cramping, minimal bleeding. The worst part was waking up after anesthesia and remembering what had taken place.
Avatar n tn you might be to early to see the heartbeat, dont give up hope until you have at least two more u/s, unless you start cramping and bleeding, or your blood tests show otherwise. But to me it sounds like you might just be border line 5-6wks. So keep your chin up and love that baby you have.. I cant wait to have my baby.. So good luck..
Avatar f tn How likely am I to miscarry after seeing babys heartbeat at 6 weeks becs im experienceing som cramping answers plz xx
6845172 tn?1387934062 I had a miscarriage right before this pregnancy so I was worried sick until today. I know its still possible but after seeing the heartbeat I feel relieved. Hoping this is a little girl. I have a 3 year old son.
Avatar n tn A low heartbeat is NOT always indicative of a miscarriage. At 6w with my daughter, she had a low heartbeat, but it had picked up by the time I went back at 8 weeks. Her heartbeat had been around 90bpm and it picked up to 161 by 8 weeks. She's a happy, healthy 11 month old now.
Avatar f tn I had a miscarriage in June this year got pregnant in September, 11weeks 2days. I found my babies heartbeat on fetal doppler and saw the baby and heartbeat at an ultrasound on the Wednesday just passed.
Avatar f tn I saw the heartbeat at 7 weeks. Also, I have heard after seeing the heartbeat your miscarriage rate goes down, is this true??
1640871 tn?1321673746 I said what if the heartbeat is seen, she said thats false, you have the same chances of losing baby even after seeing the heartbeat. She gave me a referral for my ultrasound, she said to have it next monday...I will be 7 weeks... should I be naughty and go early? am so scared I won't see anything but the sack.
Avatar n tn Hi, I had trasvi U/s and it was find out to be close to 6 weeks pregnant but no fetal heartbeat and maternal heartbeat is just normal up until today 80/min. I feel as usual as if im not pregnant. another is that im diagnosed with subchorionic hemorrhage that made me very susceptible to miscarriage. I was given pregnancy support medicines hoping in 2 weeks heartbeat and fetal activity will be viable.
Avatar n tn I had an ultrasound at 6w2d that showed a baby and a heartbeat at 9 weeks I got another ultrasound which showed a 6w4d old baby with no heart rate. I had a missed miscarriage and for whatever reason my body was not able to get rid of it on its own. I had another ultrasound a couple days later and the findings were the same. After I had a D&C it took 4 weeks for my levels to return to 0 and then before another cycle could start I was pregnant again with my now 2 1/2 year old daughter.
Avatar f tn m going slightly crazy waiting for it lol. Has anyone else experienced a missed miscarriage after hearing the heartbeat and while still having symptoms? Or am I unnecessarily worrying? And does anyone know some statistics?
Avatar n tn You should definitely get another ultrasound to put you mind at peace! I have heard of woman not seeing the heartbeat at 6-8 weeks and then seeing a heartbeat at 12 weeks. Also, i thought i was 7w2d from my lmp and when i had an ultrasound i was only 6w4d. I ovulated late.
568659 tn?1256139982 He said for her to come back in a week and if there is still not heartbeat he will have to rule it out as a miscarriage. She has not had any bleeding and no more that the normal cramping. Is this normal? Is there still hope that her baby is going to be OK?
Avatar f tn The percentage goes way down after you hear the baby's heartbeat. There is a 2% chance of miscarriage after you hear the heartbeat. Usually the miscarriage range is 0-12 weeks and then again at 21 weeks.
Avatar f tn A hearbeat is a hugely positive sign...my OB told me that once there is a healthy heartbeat, the rate of miscarriage drops dramatically. In my miscarriages, we never once detected a heartbeat. So I still say congratulations, and stay positive!!!!
