) I like writing poems but my poems usually end up short and to the point. The irony is this is the shortest poem I ever wrote.

It sounds like she may be having a miscarriage. If she is 12 weeks, i cannot think of a reason for there to be just a sac and no fetal pole. Is there any possibility that she is only 6 weeks?

(mother had hysterectomy to remove tumors in thee area, maternal grandmother died of cancer which had spread throughout body, paternal grandmother had bowel cancer, paternal grandfather died from cancer tht had spread throughout body) The resident gyno said that it is most likely just another cyst and to return if the pain increases at the level it was, but could not assure me 100%.

My biggest fear is of POEMS Syndrome, which my father succummed to in August 2005 after 8 painful years. Can POEMS be hereditary? Should I see my primary care doctor or endo with my concerns? I am scared o death but have not mentioned anything to my husband or mom because I don't want to alarm them unnecessarily.

Has anyone out there had a miscarriage than take a home test and have it b neg but still have massive preg symptoms 4 more then a wk after. Could I still b preg.

I know of women who have had babies at your age. My grandmother was one of them. See a fertility specialist to address any concerns and pray for a healthy baby. It may be more difficult but not impossible. Women are having children much later in life.

I know how you feel! Im 14 weeks too. I had a miscarriage in Aug and Im still scared. I feel my baby I mean I feel the bump and I think its getting bigger but Im still scared but we gotta keep our heads up!

My maternal grandmother, my aunt and my mother all had a miscarriage between their first and second children. I have had one beautiful daughter, and my husband and I are preparing to get pregnant for a second time. This common thread in my mom's family has me a bit nervous. Is there any medical explanation for all three women to have had a miscarriage, and are my chances higher because of it. well, chris got home at 6am(he always does that to me lol).....so earlier we decided to stop by our friends house, the one i mentioned just found out she was pregnant? well, we werent paying attention that her truck was gone, and when her brother finally decided to answer the door, and let us know that at 3am today she went to the hospital with some bleeding, but major cramping....and i feel soooo bad for her, b/c she just got that u/s that showed the baby had a heartbeat of 153!

My grandmother had several miscarriages, but my mom didn't have any. I think it depends on what is causing them.

My daughter recently had a miscarriage. They had already detected the heartbeat at a good 147 bpm at the 8 week mark. When she went it at 11 weeks, they couldn't hear the heartbeat, and an ultrasound revealed that it hadn't grown since the 8 week mark. She had a spontaneous miscarriage the next day. I've read that miscarriages after the heart begins beating are very rare -- around 5%. What are the causes for a miscarriage during this timeframe? This was her first pregnancy.

Haven't been on here in a while but I had a miscarraige on June 2nd and then lost my grandmother on June 25th. I feel like I just have no one. My bf is pregnant and due 1 day after I was. She found out a week after I did. I'm happy for her but I feel bad for me. I only saw her twice and rubbing her belly made me feel so bad. I just think it's so unfair I wasn't trying in the first place and I'm not gonna try again. But I wish I could have my baby back.
