Avatar f tn Can a miscarriage happen and yet your blood be brown? I've been 'spotting' for about a week and only about eight weeks pregnant. The blood today resembled the amount a period would havs . I've talked to nurses and they say since I'm not cramping its most likely okay.
712995 tn?1261504295 brown blood is "old" blood, I had some brown spotting with my 2nd preganacy and all was Ok. If it gets red then I would start to worrie. But if you are very worried call your Ob......
377012 tn?1283969035 Usually when you miscarry it is bright red blood with clotting in it. That is why when you are pregnant, your doctor usually says to keep an eye out for bright red blood. Because usually brown/black "blood" is just old blood disgarding from your body. So it doesn't sound like you miscarried. Plus when you miscarry it very heavy bleeding for maybe a day or two and then it gets lighter and lasts for a few more days.
712995 tn?1261504295 Spotting brown blood is an indication of old, dry blood that is for some reason in the cervix. The most common reason is if you have sexual intercourse and irritation of the cervix causes a little tear. Not enough that it comes flowing out, but like when you urinate or you wipe, you might see it on the tissue. Unless you are passing bright red blood and clots, brown spotting is pretty harmless. brown spotting is perfectly normal in early pregnancy.
Avatar f tn It's only concerning if the blood becomes red, or you have severe cramping, or there is enough blood to saturate a pad.
Avatar f tn I had brown spotting with both my children and they are now a healthy two and a healthy three years old! brown blood is safe because its considered 'old blood' its red blood that is a cause for concern. The smell just may be from it being, old blood. Hope that helps...
Avatar n tn I had pregnancy symptoms like tender swollen breasts and brown spotting. My blood test today showed negative for pregnancy. Should I trust this test or do u think I had a miscarriage and HCG dropped.
Avatar f tn A little brown with some blood, isn't necessarily a sign of miscarriage. It could just be old blood discharging. Is there any cramps or lower abdominal or back pain? If not, I would try not to sweat it too much and also get in to see a doctor is you are so concerned about it.
Avatar f tn A lot of blood? no. if you've had sex there could be some blood but definitely if it's enough to even come close to filling a pad you should go in.
Avatar f tn I am wondering if this is a sign of a miscarriage or implantation bleeding or something else.
Avatar f tn Started brown spotting yesterday that went into maroonish color, not feeling up pads. Ultrasound showed sac in uterus but no heartbeat or fetal pole I was 5wk 6days yesterday. Still having bleeding today but not lots, hardly any pain and blood is not bright red. Hcg level yesterday low at 499. Any words of wisdom would be very much appreciated, I feel so alone.
Avatar f tn I just had a positive hpt sunday which would have put me at 5 weeks today. I started spotting brown saturday evening before I tested. Yesterday (Monday) I started cramping like I was starting my period. The pain got so severe that I was doubled over. I had pain in my lower back that felt like what I would imagine being stabbed would feel like. The brown spotting turned bright red. I had such bad cramps all night that I couldn't sleep.
1297184 tn?1289790761 After 4 days of light brown spotting I finally started bleeding. I went to the ER and they took blood work which came back at 7456 my previous hcg reading was 6577 five days ago. They could do nothing but tell us we're sorry and hand me a cup in which I was supposed to place any tissue I passed. The ER doc didn't know how to handle the situation at all and didn't really know what to tell us to do. I'm lost.
Avatar n tn I am experiencing the same thing, woke up this morning with slight cramps brown discharge that turned into snot like blood, after a little brown discharge came back with a little bleeding. I am 11 days late on my period.
1266083 tn?1358567662 negative (I took one bc I heard a lot of people say that brown (old) blood could be a sign of a fertilized egg implanting or signs of a miscarriage if followed by bright red, clumpy blood. Well I had no bright red, clumpy blood...so I thought I was pregnant..but I wasn't..and so I've kind of just let that occurance go. Well...a couple of days ago I started spotting the same brown blood...yesterday morning it was much more and even had some red in it..so I put a tampon in...
Avatar f tn With me I had cramping abit more painful than period cramps yhan I started bbleeding brown blood which changed into red blood and than I started to past blood clots. But if u start to feel unwell or u think that yr lossing to much blood go straight to a&e .
Avatar f tn did you take a pregnancy test or go to the Dr at anytime durring this? MC are very common and are estimated to occur in 15-25 % of pregnancies, but there are other reasons why a woman may skip there periods, which can result in the lining to be that much thicker when their period does arrive... why im asking if youve looked into this is because if you havent gotten checked out you should... get a pap, and a full check up to make sure all is well....
Avatar f tn Would you see signs of miscarriage if you are or have miscarriage?
Avatar f tn I passed a grey clot on the second day and began bleeding a little more with one or two red clots but mostly pink or brown blood. The third and forth day I was back to barely any blood, mostly just when I wiped. For the past two weeks I have been throwing up some, been an emotional wreck and having to urinate very frequently. Could this have been an early miscarriage even with a negative test? If not, what else coudl it have been?
Avatar f tn If you are really worried go to the doctor or er. My M/C tarted with light brown spots, then progressed with clots and slightly heavier than period blood.
Avatar f tn if it was an early miscarriage where you never had a positive test or blood work then honestly you will never now if that is what it really was or not there is no way to tell
Avatar n tn My first sign was brown pink blood, just a tiny amount. I went to the doctor the next day and found out, and that night I had awful cramps followed by hemorraging that led me to the ER for a d and c. My second miscarriage was earlier, I was only 7 weeks but it was actually a chemical pregnancy, there was just a tiny sac, nothing else had formed. My first sign there also was brown bleeding, however, it quickly turned pink and then red all in the same day. Just like an af.
Avatar m tn I have very little blood flow and what does come out is brown. I still have not passed the fetus. What is happening... is this a normal miscarriage?
Avatar f tn brown blood is old blood and some spotting in early pregnancy is normal but if its enough to run down your legs, i would go to the er and have it checked out just to be on the safe side because that's how both of my miscarriages started. Stay positive tho and think the best. Lots and lots of women have early bleeding and go on to have perfectly normal healthy pregnancies.
Avatar f tn id go to urgent care or the er they do blood test and lots more testing. second opinion. sounds like it could be, but maybe its your last period.
