Miscarriage no gestational sac

Common Questions and Answers about Miscarriage no gestational sac

miscarriage

Avatar f tn I received an ultrasound at about 3 wks. There was no gestational sac, the doctor said it was 1 of the options I was real early, it could either be a tubal pregnancy or a miscarriage..and rescheduled me for a 6 week ultrasound! I'm nervous, I'm still waiting to atleast see some signs of pregnancy..two weeks later and still no bleeding, no signs off a miscarriage..should I be concerned?? Im hoping I was just too early.
Avatar f tn t a yolk sac either. I was 7 weeks and 1 day by my last period. They said that the gestational sac measured 5 weeks 5 days. Has anyone ever had an ultrasound like this?
Avatar n tn I went to my ob on Sat. (24/9/11) at 6 weeks in my pregnancy & he did urine test, it was positive & u/s showed no gestational sac. He (doc) said I should come back to do u/s in 2 wks. Can someone tell me why no sac?
Avatar f tn so you just had a gestational sac?what about yolk sac?how much did your yolk sac measure if you had one? May be a belighted ovum?
Avatar f tn Also, according to the measurements I am only about five weeks and three days. I am six weeks and three days since lmp. He saw a gestational sac but nothing but a yolk sac inside. It free from .9 cm to 1.34, which he said is only slight growth. I just had a miscarriage two months ago and this has been deemed a threatened miscarriage. Has anyone else gone through this with a happy ending? I have had no bleeding whatsoever so this was very shocking news to me.
Avatar f tn I believe my conception date is April 16 which would make me 8 weeks pregnant. However last week my hcg level was 4500 and had an ultrasound. The doctor called me to schedule it because my HCG was 278 two weeks prior. They could see gestational sac but couldn't really tell if they saw a fetus and sac measured 5 weeks 6 days pregnant and no heartbeat. I have another hcg test Monday and ultrasound Wednesday. Any advise? I have miscarried twice and have had 2 children.
1188979 tn?1311264889 7mm corresponding to a gestational age of 6w5d, there was a yolk sac also measuring 2.5mm, but there was no fetal pole or heart beat. a few days later my hcg levels where at 52,296 and 3 days later in 65,201. has anyone here not seen a fetal pole at 6 weeks and ended up having a normal pregnancy?
Avatar n tn I had my 1st tvs on my 5th week gestational age and only gestational sac and yolk sac were seen no embryo yet. After 2 weeks I went for my 2nd tvs at 7wk 6days gestational age and I saw my baby with CRL of 1.52cm but no cardiac activity detected. This is my first pregnancy and I'm so scared when the ultrasound report comment : within the well decidualized gestational sac is a yolk sac and an embryo without cardiac activity.
392294 tn?1200690606 When I had just found out I was pregnant I got a vaginal u/s done at 5 weeks where the doctors said there was absolutely no sign of a pregnancy, no sac, no fetus, no heartbeat, nothing...and thought is was ectopic and were already trying to schedule for a removal...but I waited a week and went to a different hospital where they spotted my baby with no problem, and the heartbeat as well. So it just turned out that it was too soon to see the baby...I am now 18 weeks and 6days and so far so good.
Avatar f tn Has anyone else been told they have a small gestational sac? If so was everything okay with the baby? This is my first pregnancy, and I am a little worried I will have a miscarriage.
Avatar f tn If you are 100% sure of your LMP and your HCG levels are falling, then you are having a miscarriage. An empty sac a 9 wks, with a gestational sac measurement greater than 18mm can be labeled as a blighted ovum; which is a fancy way of saying a pregnancy with no DNA. However, if your levels (HCG) are rising, you may be off on your dates and can be earlier than 9 weeks. Good luck.
Avatar f tn My last period was December 12 I starting spotting January 8 my levels were constantly rising and they even seen a gestational sac but just over 6wks they did another as and saw nothing but my hcg is still rising Thursday I was at 3300 and Fri I was at 3800 could this be a miscarriage?
Avatar f tn Hello, The gestational sac first appears at about 4 weeks gestational age, and grows at a rate of about 1 mm a day through the 9th week of pregnancy. A gestational sac larger than 13 mm that contains no yolk sac means the pregnancy is not viable, so when the sac is larger than this and there is no yolk sac, the doctor can diagnose miscarriage and a miscarriage that consists of no yolk sac would fall in the category of blighted ovum.
Avatar f tn Your scenario of gestational sac diameter of 16-24 mm and no embryo is in the column on the right, which is suspicious for but not diagnostic of miscarriage. This is why your doctor requested a repeat ultrasound in a few days.
Avatar f tn I am 6 weeks today and on Friday I went in for an early ultrasound (big mistake). I was 5 weeks, 5 days and all we saw was the gestational sac and yolk sac. There was no fetal pole or heartbeat yet. I wasn't really expecting a heartbeat but I thought for sure we'd see the fetal pole. I went in for blood work (because of a miscarriage before my son) last week and the week before and my HCG has been doubling (most times tripling) like it should.
Avatar f tn a gestational sac (6x6mm) was found, no heartbeat, non-viable. 6 weeks after the embryo transfer: a gestational sac (26x14mm) was found, non-viable, and no fetal pole was detected. 7 weeks after the embryo transfer, some signs of miscarriage were found, the gestational sac was told to be similiar to 6 weeks 2 days while mine is 9 weeks. TheI was advised to take misoprostol. Please help me name some common problems that may have led to my miscarriage. If I had IVF done again, what should I do?
377493 tn?1356502149 at 5w period on 05/10 my U/s done in which only gestational sac seen nothing else. Doc opined that it is a intrauterine gestational sac at early pregnancy. Now at 7W also I am not feeling any symptoms instead of abdominal cramping. tommorrow is the 2nd U/s day for me. In some of the cases the H/B is not shown until 7 to 8 W period. So be possitive and happy dont worry. My prays are with u.
Avatar f tn This is confirmed if an ultrasound through vagina reveals a sac with gestational sac diameter greater than 13 mm and no yolk sac, or diameter more than 18 mm with no embryo. Follow-up ultrasound is done after 10 days to verify diagnosis. Normally it is wise to wait until 10-11 weeks of pregnancy for a confirmed diagnosis of blighted ovum or fetal death. Meanwhile monitor the HCG levels at 48 hours intervals.
Avatar f tn Today, by my LMP, I should be exactly 6 weeks. I went in for my first ultrasound and all we could see was an empty gestational sac that measured 5w2d. That would make it 5 days off from the date of my LMP. I understand that I could have ovulated late, however, that scan would indicate I ovulated on March 4th. The last time I had sex was March 1st. I also understand that sperm can live in the body 3-5 days.
983836 tn?1248736583 They did a transvaginal u/s and the doctor still saw a gestational sac with a yolk sac. They took my blood again and my hcg levels had gone from 32000 to 18000 in a week. Which wasn't a good thing. I've come to the conclusion that I am miscarrying, but am still going for my last u/s on Aug 3. Hopefully by then, everything will be out my system, HOPEFULLY!! I just want you to be aware of both sides that can happen. Maybe this can help you, or let you know what to look for.
Avatar n tn The fetus measured in at 6 Weeks 2 days, however the gestational sac measured at 7 weeks 4 days. The ultra doing tech said the sac was measuring a but small and there was silk a chance i could lose the pregnancy....how worried should i be? I have no cramping, no bleeding or spotting, but have had several miscarriages before every hearing a heartbeat. I would love to be reassured that i have nothing to worry about but honest answers are appreciated!
Avatar f tn so i went on Monday but they said its better to do another uss, they said they could dee the gestational and yolk sac and the uterus looked normal even though bleeding was moderate with mild period pains, and booked me for another appointment in 2 weeks.
1349241 tn?1316004958 I went to the doctors Yesterday and had an ultra sound, All they could see was the gestational sac? She also said that I am in the gestational stage? How early can you see this in a vaginal ultra sound? I am just really worried. I go back in two weeks for another ultra sound, she said that I should see a big difference but what if I dont? I am also on Metformin and read that it decreases my chance of having a miscarriage, is that true?
Avatar f tn I had a similar issue when I was 19. I went to the er because I had faint spotting and wanted to make sure everything was ok (I'm a bit of a hypochondriac). All they saw was the sac. I had a couple ultrasounds weeks later & the sac got bigger but no baby. No signs of miscarriage, no pain, no nothing. At 8 weeks they said my pregnancy wasn't viable & gave me pills to miscarry. & that was it. I always had hope but it wasn't meant to be.
