4408310 tn?1354124860 Hi, I'm 28 with two boys, almost 6 and 7. I, regretfully, had a tubal ligation done right after I delivered my second son. (I was 22, with two kids a year and 4 days apart, and panicked.) Now that my boys are in school I've been looking at having another baby.
Avatar f tn Well, misdiagnosis is always possible. I'm actually a bit surprised that they are making this call at 6 weeks. Typically they wait a bit longer in case dates are wrong, etc. A heartbeat is seen between 5 1/2 and 6 1/2 weeks. So with off dates, or even poor equipment, it can sometimes take a bit longer to see anything. Remember that there is no need to make any drastic decisions right now.
Avatar f tn I had 4 miscarriages between June 2013 to January 2014. Dont give up hope. I am now 24 weeks pregnant with my little man. Just keep trying. I was told I have recurring pregnancy loss and that I would never get to have kids. But turns out it was a misdiagnosis and all I needed to do was make a change in my diet. Don't like a miscarriage discourage you. If having a baby is what you truly want then keep trying until you get one.

459981 tn?1212193981 I got off all my meds last month and feel very, very stable. Has anyone heard of PTSD/Bipolar misdiagnosis??
Avatar n tn Can an Obgyn give a misdiagnosis (be wrong) after 2 months? Could he have been wrong after doing a physical examination? Can a blood test be wrong as well after 2 months?
Avatar m tn Hi there, I think misdiagnosis definitely can happen. So many things overlay each other, mimic something else, or are comorbid. If you aren't thinking you got the right diagnosis, try again. My son has been seen now probably by 20 different health care professionals. He's had a major mental health crisis starting last winter and he's been in two different hospital settings, had several eyes on him and assessments. I feel confident that we've got right diagnoses now.
