Avatar f tn I only know of getting the iv HC in the UK from one doctor... He set up a diabetes pump with solu-cortef and set the pattern to be more like a normal diurnal rhythm. Prednisone is long acting and can have long term side effects. You may want to up sodium first? Unless you can get in the UK study. I am panhypopituitary too with no adrenals. I am on dex, worse than prednisone.
1414894 tn?1288769040 By maintaining the womb lining, dydrogesterone is also useful in helping prevent miscarriage (spontaneous abortion) in women who have suffered repeated miscarriages or who may miscarry. Dydrogesterone is usually taken on selected days during the menstrual cycle, depending upon the disorder that is being treated. What is it used for?
1419501 tn?1320206310 i agree with beanie485. a normal miscarriage is when you start bleeding/cramping then find out the baby has no heart beat and the body gets rid of the pregnancy on it's on. a missed miscarriage is when you have no miscarriage symptoms (bleeding, cramping) and then usually go in for a check up to find the baby had passed usually days or weeks ago without anyone know. i am sorry for your loss. hang in there.
Avatar m tn On quick review of its home page as well as the links provided by matthew589, it appears to be a high quality resource, based in the UK. However, it is designed primarily for HIV infected people with questions about treatment and living with HIV/AIDS, not those who have been exposed and are concerned about becoming infected. Still, it has accurate information about how HIV is transmitted -- and most important for many users of this forum, how it is NOT transmitted, e.g.
3224409 tn?1356206827 Here is information on that... its from NHS UK... as i am in UK... and my doctors are from NHS so obviously i have to go with what they have written here... http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/pages/pelvic-pain-pregnant-spd.
Avatar f tn There's little information on the safety of herbal teas in pregnancy so here in the UK we're recommended to drink no more than four cups of herbal or green tea a day during pregnancy. Regular tea is fine, again in moderation.
Avatar n tn I have finally been reffered to a gynocologist since my miscarriage on Oct 30. I will be seeing him in a few hours and would like to get some ideas on what questions I should ask him to make sure this does not happen to me again? I would love your input plz?
Avatar m tn I see you are in the UK fortunately have a health system like here in Australia where help at a hospital is freely available. You might not want to go, because you're probably thinking-what's the point, it can't change what's happened, (about your children etc), going to hospital is not going to fix the physical situations that are going on in your life. You've made your mind up etc etc.
373367 tn?1246402035 m anxious to see what the IGenex will show. Calling them today to see about shipping from the UK.
Avatar n tn We seem to be pulling our hair out over here in Canada with the lack of choices, information, trials and slowness of the health care system in the north west. Is this the same all over the UK for people diagnosed with PPC ? Any tips on what to do next is greatly appreciated.
4920659 tn?1371061785 Ok ladies. I am now in week 12 and after 5 previous m/c this has certainly helped me relax. I'm feeling less sick & more energetic but getting banging headaches. Just wondered if anyone else is same as me? Or from the uk? I've got my second scan tomoz as i'm considered high risk but for some reason i'm scared... just worried incase theyre like oops sorry cant find a heartbeat. I know i'm being paranoid but i really want this baby to be ok!
Avatar f tn Unfortunately the same thing happened to me and I went back a week later and still no heartbeat.
Avatar f tn Thank you ladies. My partner has had chromosome testing on his sperm and it came back as normal. He is not a CF carrier either. However, TESE sperm is notoriously immature. I just can't understand how it managed to fertilise my 40 year old eggs yet didn't fertilise eggs from a donor under 30???? Here in the UK the donor is anonymous so I can't find out whether she got a BFP from her share.....or had a MC.
Avatar f tn I am now waiting to hear back from the hospital to find out what the next steps are but this could take another week. (UK NHS is so slow!!) No one has told me in the mean time what the risks are to me but more importantly what risks this has to my unborn baby?? I feel like im lost with no answers and urgently need help Please!!!
1035252 tn?1427227833 I know the nhs here in the uk is cash strapped as it is, but I think the 3 miscarriage rule stinks before they will test. I lost my first 2 pregnancies, 1 at 16 weeks due to a birth defect, 2nd a 8 weeks, missed miscarriage and my 3rd at 6 weeks a natural miscarriage. Because our first baby was not miscarried we were told you will need to lose another pregnancy before we will consider testing and then it depends on the circumstances.
1200240 tn?1289339687 Hi like you all I live in uk in the cheshire area of the north west, I on this journey like you all are. This site is an amazing place stick around post your worries and concerns you will be amazed at how much help and advice you get.
1907191 tn?1468100974 Hi, my hcg following a FET came back positive at 468 (very strong) and progesterone was 46.8. I had my bloods tested 48 hrs later to check all doubling, and my beta was 1042 but my progesterone has dropped a lot to 32.5. We're very worried about this. I'm already on a very high dose of progesterone (2x cyclogest pessaries 400mg and 1x 25mg lubion injection). I'm in the uk...has anyone had a similar drop and a successful pregnancy?
Avatar f tn m not going to have a baby I feel like I keep letting my partner down.
Avatar f tn m at work and just came back from tge bathroom where I noticed some light spotting of blood. I just had a miscarriage back in May and I was cramping pretty bad last night. I have a Dr appt tomorrow at 10a but am wondering if I should take a trip to the ER tonight to make sure everything is ok?
1466841 tn?1286361748 Hello, I miscarried at 7-8 weeks it took three weeks of bleeding because I chose to have a natural miscarriage, I have waited till the forth week to take a pregnancy test and its still positive!! Avatar f tn In the UK most people even today, are told to have a stiff upper lip' and bear it .a lot of folk that need some help wont ask for it , therapy is differant than here you can get it but its not as welcome and can be seen as a stigma , especially by other family members, even to this day as a born English woman I would struggle myself rather than ask for help, however in my years as a US citizen, I have learned to be able to ask more.than I did when I lived there.
1472764 tn?1287588186 If you have had a miscarriage I hope this information helps you. I went to visit my priest after a miscarriage at 6 weeks. I was devastated. First he told me its okay to be mad even at God. He understands. Second he asked if we knew what sex it was. I told him no but I always thought it was a boy. He said then its a boy. He then asked if we had a name picked out and I told him Daniel. He said that God needed my husband and me to help create a human soul and that God needed him in Heaven.
