miscarriage

Avatar n tn After treatment you will be fine and all those living with you have an injection also to ensure it does not spread. This is what is done in Australia. I contracted it 40 years ago but didnt know i had HepC at the same time. Within 6 weeks i was fine but you will carry HepB antibodies for the rest of your life. You will be fine as long as you get the treatment. Yellowing of the skin and eyes should clear within the six weeks. This is my personal experiance and others that i know of.
1419501 tn?1320206310 i agree with beanie485. a normal miscarriage is when you start bleeding/cramping then find out the baby has no heart beat and the body gets rid of the pregnancy on it's on. a missed miscarriage is when you have no miscarriage symptoms (bleeding, cramping) and then usually go in for a check up to find the baby had passed usually days or weeks ago without anyone know. i am sorry for your loss. hang in there.

Avatar f tn Just know that if it is a miscarriage, its not your fault! sometimes a bad egg is released or a bad sperm somehow gets through during the flux. Good luck!
Avatar f tn Do you think Australia will eventually use rapid hiv tests to combat the hiv rates in Australia. I know Australia has great resources but read that they have not implemented point of care rapid tests.
414018 tn?1268611672 We hope we will soon be able to apply this new information to improve outcomes, perhaps by developing better diagnostic markers and treatment strategies that may be useful in customizing treatment for ovarian cancer patients," said Huang. Ovarian cancer is difficult to detect in its early stages. It is also challenging to treat because it tends to recur frequently and develop resistance to treatment.
Avatar m tn I see you are in the UK fortunately have a health system like here in Australia where help at a hospital is freely available. You might not want to go, because you're probably thinking-what's the point, it can't change what's happened, (about your children etc), going to hospital is not going to fix the physical situations that are going on in your life. You've made your mind up etc etc.
Avatar n tn The AIDS ACTION COUNSIL of the A.C.T has all the statistics and information on there website.People in Australia who are hiv positive are living longer and are living healthier lives because of huge improvements to medications and lifestyle.
1259175 tn?1269646422 s, the first ended in miscarriage at 11 weeks, the second was BFN, and now the third looks like it is ending in miscarriage also. They did chromosome testing on the first miscarriage and nothing showed wrong there. We decided that we are gonna take a break and then try one or two more cycles. If we don't get pregnant I'm talking to the RE about donating. I told dh that if we can't have our own baby then I wanted to help someone else be able to acheive there dreams. Good luck!
Avatar n tn ’s, While doing some research on this site and others I have come across some conflicting information from the CDC vs. the SHC. I was curious to know why Australia publicly says that antibody testing at 6 weeks is conclusive, while here in the US they say the 3 month mark is conclusive (sometimes even 6 months or longer at certain offices/clinics).
Avatar f tn Thank you so much for sharing your story. If you don't mind, can you tell me what did the doc find for your son? How much Nuchal translucency did they find for him? I did not know about the Harmony test... what does that include? And the genetic counselor keep on offering me the diagnostic testing, which has 1/500 chance of miscarriage. And I don't completely feel ok doing that. Any information will be helpful.
1621269 tn?1327203489 You should have a period within 8 weeks of the complete miscarriage. I dont know how it is in australia with insurance for health care ect but i had weekly scans to make sure the miscarriage was complete and weekly blood tests. I hope things return to some noramilty soon! Good luck hun.
Avatar f tn There are privacy laws in Australia regarding disclosure of your health conditions in Australia. Also the rights of hbvers are protected by laws. I suggest you discuss your case with the Hepatitis Australia: http://www.hepatitisaustralia.com/ They have a National Infoline. They should be able to give you information and guidance. A requirement of immunization does not necessary mean you are ineligible for employment/study in this area.
Avatar f tn I had a sudden onset of lumps in my lower legs 12 weeks ago. They appear as ropey strings following the long bones but radiating out around the knees in clusters. When they first appear they are sore and appear red on the skin surface - later they take on a bruised appearance. Now I have them in lower arms and between knuckles on my right hand. Sometimes after walking I have intense pain in the bones of my lower legs - especially at night. Does this sound like Dercum's?
20620809 tn?1504362969 For those of you with MS, do you rely on your doctor for information and what is current in research or do you find it on your own? Do you get a lot of support from your health care provider?
Avatar f tn Look on your opiate bottles that may something like, "Use care when operating a motor vehicle." . Ppl can and have been given OWI tickets when taking an opiate - as prescribed - and driving. We all roll the dice when we get behind a wheel. Sorry, I know nothing of the laws in Australia either. I can't think of a current member off the top of my head from Australia, sorry. I agree that you should Goggle the laws. Good luck. Please share with us what you learn. Thanks.
Avatar f tn Why is there so much debate as to whether or not there is Lyme in Australia? Is it because when someone says "Lyme" they only associate it one particular strain? I know I have potentially thrown the cat in amongst the pigeons but I think it is a valid topic for those in Australia suffering with Lyme Disease.
Avatar n tn I am interested in how much these pumps cost (including all the accesories one needs). We are in Australia so if anyone also knew the name of a distributor or distributors for these devices, it would be good. I appreciate any comments or news on the above. Thanks. Peter.
