Miscarriage early in the pregnancy

Common Questions and Answers about Miscarriage early in the pregnancy

miscarriage

Avatar f tn Thank you everyone. I have been taking it real easy and trying not to stress out. I find out tomorrow what my hcg levels are. They were at just over 1000 on Thursday. The Dr said there is not much they can do at the moment being so early in the pregnancy. He knows I'm worried about my miscarriage 2 months ago and is advising me to bed rest until we see the hcg levels.
Avatar f tn Try to take it easy on the sex in early pregnancy, and just be cautious of certain positions, and the "slamming".
Avatar f tn I have been bleeding (spotting) for the last week. My last pregnancy was a miscarriage. My question is, is it normal to bleed/spot early in the 1st trimester?
Avatar f tn I've had some bleeding during early pregnancy too - adgal's right - 1/3 of all women bleed some in early pregnancy & many go on to have a healthy pregnancy. The only thing to do is to have the scan. That will tell more than the hcg numbers that there's healthy pregnancy growing. Of course it's best to do the scan when the hcg numbers are a certain number - I think it's around 2,000 before anything's seen - can't be quite sure on that number.
Avatar f tn Some women have spotting and bleeding in early pregnancy and things turn out ok. Hopefully thats your normal. Good luck.
1472764 tn?1287588186 I had a high fever early in my first pregnancy. As long as the fever isn't too high and for several days straight, that is what they were worried about. That is such a low fever I wouldn't even take Tylenol, just let your body fight the virus. COngrats!
Avatar f tn Its possibly a miscarriage. I had strong cramps, and I thought it was my period coming. Later found out I was pregnant, and I was around 10 weeks but baby measured 5 weeks. The cramping I felt was me miscarrying. I didn't bleed what so ever, so didnt think anything of it. I had a d&c since it didnt come naturally. I had alot of symptoms too, especially nausea, but thats just the hormones and even if the baby didn't survive, the hormones are still there for awhile.
Avatar f tn Also praying for you mama!
Avatar f tn That early in pregnancy it wouldn't have done anything!
Avatar f tn A lot of women bleed in early pregnancy. Some even bleed the whole pregnancy. Don't get upset about it. Call your doctor and maybe they will get you in to see them. But there isn't anything they can really do being your so early.
Avatar n tn I did similar, but instead of shots I used a cream suppository twice a day for the first 10 weeks. I would definitely talk to your doctor about supplementing in some way. The placenta doesn't start producing progesterone until near the end of the first trimester. It's you that makes it before then, and sometimes you don't produce enough even though the baby would be fine.
Avatar f tn Hi i am roughly 5weeks pregnant and experiencing pains. I know these pains are normal in the start of pregnancy but i have also had a miscarriage before. I haven't seen midwife yet as not booked in till the 18th. My nurse told me if pains get worse to go to a and e. Pains seem to only be worse on a nighttime. Should i be worried? Not sure weather i am being to cautious and go down to a and e?
Avatar f tn I found the physical discomforts tended to subside around the second trimester, and it got somewhat less stressful when I reached the point were the babies moved regularly and I could feel it. But honestly, it was never easy. The good news is that when the baby is finally here, the feeling of relief and joy is indescribable. Good luck to you, and hang in there!
Avatar f tn Anytime you bleed your chances are about 50/50. This happened to me, though, very early in pregnancy, and now at 16 weeks baby's doing well. I hope everything goes okay with you as well, just take it easy and try to hope for the best.
Avatar f tn Agreed. It's probably just a precaution to help because of the previous miscarriage. It's less stress on the body. Hopefully you have no issues!
Avatar n tn Yea I had a miscarriage right before this pregnancy an dive been on edge the whole time. When I bled the first time I starting going into a panic attack thinking I was losing the baby. Just know it could be something manageable. Just because there's blood doesn't mean you are having a miscarriage. I'm 37 weeks now.
Avatar f tn I am 5w4d. My previous pregnancy resulted in a missed miscarriage at 7 weeks so my dr is taking extra precautions this time. I just had my progesterone and hcgs done. My progesterone was 22 and my hcgs as of yesterday were in the 7000s which she said is awesome and she has no concerns thus far. After reading your post 7000 seems high. Just looking for feedback. I have had two healthy pregnancies prior to the miscarriage and am just a little nervous this time around.
Avatar n tn Hiiiii I am pregnant at 17weeks and 5days this is not my first pregnancy though. It's my tenth. I've lost my babies to ectopics and miscarriages all in the first trimester and me waiting to make it to my first trimester was agony praying every second that I didn't lose this baby I just held on to the thought that this is my time my time to be a mommy . There's nothing you really can do but wait and the other easy and do as your Dr says!
Avatar f tn well the thing about a pregnancy test is HCG remains in your system for up to 4-8 weeks after a pregnancy has ended. This is not a valid way of determing if one has had a miscarriage or not. You need an ultrasound. Sorry, I can't rememer if you have had one or not. If you have what were the results?
374593 tn?1257879950 dr just says that spotting can be normal in early pregnancy.. i'm already on progesterone and getting my levels monitored.. i'll go in for more bloodwork this week, but wandering if anyone has had spotting and still had a successful pregnancy? thank you!
Avatar f tn Hi just wanting to know if many people have bled and spotted in early pregnancy about 5weeks 5days and everything been ok?
Avatar f tn So I'm approx. 6 weeks pregnant and I keep getting this cramps similiar to the ones you would get at the start of your period. There's been no blood and they come and go at random but I'm very worried.. the doctor said it could be a sign of early miscarriage or just the normal changes in my uterus but I don't go back till next Tuesday. They aren't very painful just enough for me to notice them... Any one else ever experience this?
Avatar f tn They are constant but sometimes they are very light so its hard to feel them.
1679574 tn?1316036696 Thanks for the response. This is my fourth pregnancy (2 boys and 1 miscarriage) and I've always been able to get a + HPT around 4-5 days before my missed period. I always use First Response. After my miscarriage, my doctor followed my levels back down to "zero" with weekly blood draws. When my levels were at an 11, First Response was still picking it up as a positive. I have found them to be the best at detecting early pregnancy.
