I am a 33 year old female who's mother was also given *Bendectin*. I have battled many health problems over the years, and also have a deformed foot. My Right foot is wider then the left by great amounts, my second and third toes are postioned in the V shape pulling away from one another a little more everyday. The third toe is my Turtle :) as I call him...(The large cushion of fatty tissue sits on top like a turtle shell) I started calling it my turtle as a way of dealing with deformity.
OK good I picked holes in them
I'm very sorry for your loss as well, usually your doctor gives you a list of foods that you should avoid for risk of getting listeria, its food poisening and does cross the placenta and unfortunatley causes still birth and miscarriage, also included in those foods that the other ladies have mentioned, are smoked mussels/oysters, (canned are ok) , soft cheeses such as brie, camembert, any type of soft serve ice cream/milkshake etc, take care
Although, she never really exhibits behavior that the murmur is impairing her in any way - she is very active and especially today - going after my dogs like Ninja cat and swinging away with her paws - had to do everything I could to keep the dogs from eating her - normally they get along great and 2 of my dogs actually have been cleaning her and pampering her this past week.

Raw eggs: Raw eggs may contain salmonella. Some Caesar salad dressings, mayonnaise, homemade ice cream and custards as well as Hollandaise sauces may be made with raw eggs. In addition, unpasteurized eggnog should be avoided during pregnancy. Definitely one of the top foods to avoid during pregnancy. 4.

Is the MC a definite now? I am so sorry if that is the case. Here is my history of conception/loss/recovery: 1st preg ended in MC at 14 weeks in July 08. Had to have a D&E (no choice too far along) By Sept 08 I was preg again. That ended in MC in November 08. Used Cytotec to pass tissue at home. Wish I had not it was really horrifying to pass all that at home. Plus I could not get the tissue tested for possible causes. By February 09 I was pregnant again. MC is March. Used Cytotec again.
SCH's are actually very common and it's better to get them in early pregnancy then later in pregnancy. The risk of a miscarriage due to a SCH is actually quite low when detected in early pregnancy.
TMJ' as it is wrongly called by many) is easy to treat and self-manage or that it may all be in the patient's mind. The sources in the article stated that, "TMJ problems were originally thought to be caused by dental Malocclusion but that this was an infrequent cause of the problem". It gets in your blood system and crosses the placenta which causes a miscarriage. The thing is it can take anywhere from 20-45 days to even have symptoms so it's hard to pin down where you even got it from. I had this as my report in food safety class in culinary school. I know alot about it now, but up to that point had never heard of it. You just have to weigh your risks. It's so rare there are actually only about 50 cases a year in the united states.
Those who don't get adequate prenatal care run the risk that such complications will go undetected or won't be dealt with soon enough. That, in turn, can lead to potentially serious consequences for both the mother and her baby. These statistics aren't meant to alarm you, but rather to convey the importance of starting prenatal care as early as possible — ideally, before you even become pregnant. Of course, this isn't always possible or practical.
They protect against them. What causes all these claims are in fact the processed food we're all eating. Best thing to do for you and your baby is to get them vaccinated and to teach them to eat real food, how to cook real food so that way their not going off on their own and eating only fast foods or hot dogs, instant noodles or pizza 24/7. Sorry for the vent it's just I think people should educate themselves on issues like this one, dig deep, get your finger nails dirty.
The Dr gave her pills to help the miscarriage along. I lost 3 babies to miscarriage and I know about going in one week and everything is fine and the next no heartbeat...sounds more like that was the case for her. I don't think she was ever pregnant back in Nov. I'm sorry.
The reason, because as mentioned above is the Listeria bacteria which causes Listeriosis. The miscarriage rate is 75% if you get this bacterial infection. The issue with tuna is the mercury. Light canned tuna is a low mercury fish, however you should only eat 12oz a week and 6oz of Albacore tuna because it is higher in mercury. I was also told to stay away from soft unpasteurized cheeses such as feta, goat, brie, camembert and blue cheese. The bacteria in the cheese is hard to kill.
I started turning it around on people. Either I would say, yeah gotta make up for all those folks who just have dogs (lots of them in CO) or I say "yeah! You'd think as much as we do it, that I'd have more!!" Usually they get all embarrassed and dont know what to say. No one is going to make me feel bad or uncomfortable for having #5!
) Anywayy, more than 2 posts in 6 months doesn't bother me, but 3 posts in a day definitely gets a little ridiculous...not that you do it, but I just don't think it's necessary. Have a good first day of Spring!
No I understand and yes me and my boyfriend have talked to her about it and she says she wants to quit. “If I had known about the risks of consuming deli meat while I was pregnant, I might have been able to prevent my miscarriage,“ said Lisa Lee of Columbus, Ohio, who was a victim in the 1999 Listeria outbreak caused by cold cuts distributed by the Sara Lee Corporation. “I’m speaking out because I want to prevent other women from going through what I went through.” "Mary Lenkersdorf, of West Palm Beach, Florida, also suffered a miscarriage because of Listeria.
Aside from a scare yesterday when I tumbled down the stairs I've been doing great. I'm noticing a shift in my anxiety from all the miscarriage worries I had in the first half of the pregnancy to already being worried about delivery and breastfeeding. Time seems to be flying by now and before we know it's going to be D-Day!
I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. The hardest thing in IVF is miscarriage because by the time you miscarry the cycle is past our hands. There is a not of treatment for recurrent miscarriage unless you look at immunological factors for miscarrage. It is a good sign though that you got pregnant, even though I know it is impossible to find something good in all the bad. Is there a reason for this?
I got pregnant in July 2003. I also had a miscarriage in Sept. 2003. When I went to have my pap appointment a month later, to make sure all of the baby was out. It went well, and I felt so strange being there with all those pregnant women. I was ready to beat hell out of there. Before I left they wanted me to take a pregnancy test. I thought it was the craziest thing I ever heard! Whatever got me out of there and fast, I would do! Well imagine my amazement when it came up positive.

I have a wonderful husband, a home, a job, a wonderful family and I have my dogs. Thank you lord for all these things, I pray in your name, Amen!
I really appreciate you starting this group, I was/am in the miscarriage group and started to feel a little out of place as I was truly ready to move on. I'm really excited, I'm on CD10 and have signs that ovulation is right around the corner! (My normal cycles are less than 28 days, and once I get ovulation cramps I've got 13 days till AF) I'm really hoping this is the month, I should be able to take a test the week after my birthday (what a great birthday gift it would be!).
