So this is kind of a stupid question and a little embarrassing to ask, but since I'm only 6 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I haven't had my first OB appt, I don't really know where else to feet answers. Ive had some constipation the last couple days. In order to "go" I sometimes have to bear down. I'm wondering if that kind of abdominal/pelvic muscular contraction can harm the baby or cause me to have a miscarriage?
I did some reading I don't think it causes miscarriage
t noticed a missed period, but did have pregnancy symptoms of nausea, larger appetite, constipation and tender breasts. Could this mean that i experienced a miscarriage or is there another reason for this? I have been pregnant before two years ago where I had an abortion so this could mean stimulation could lead to milk production without pregnancy?

I miscarried around 3 weeks but I had a lot of bloating & constipation. It was 2-3 weeks after my miscarriage began to feel "normal". I wasn't as far along as you so it may take longer for your hormones & body regulate itself. It is hard. And worse for you than me. You're Angel is with God in heaven.
I read that Juice Plus is a great supplement during pregnancy and may help with the constipation. Anyone out there tried Juice Plus?

So normal! My doctor suggested colace. And I've eaten fiber 1 bars and stuff like that. :) hang in there. It'll only get worse. The iron in my prenatals causes me problems, but I'm anemic, so I even have an iron supplement to take.
Sounds like hemmoroids. And if its not painful they could be internal, which causes the bleeding. You really shouldn't force, because it can become quite painful an miserable. Look for a stool softner.
I just learned that eating bananas and crackers are what causes bloating and constipation; thats all i could eat at the time but since im 11w3d i got my appetite back ive been eating lots of fruits and veggies which help with constipation..

if in doubt you could ask for a blood test,you cant assume a miscarriage when you dont even know you were pregnant.there are many causes for early period,including an early ovulation.so no one can answer this question for you.symptoms can start any time,ive been pregnant 8 times and symptoms can start as early as 4 weeks.I would honestly advice you to speak with your doctor,if your concerned in any way.best of luck.
I need help with a remedy for constipation that works. I undergoing chemo treatments which I know causes constipation plus I'm taking Morphine which also is extremely constipating. I've tried drinking more water, taking Miralax. Asks the pharmacist she recommended Colac. Nothing seems to help, any ideas?
So I'm a first time mom, this is the 2nd time I've been pregnant but the first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 12 weeks so I've never made it this far. I'm 16+4 weeks and my stomach down lower is kind of tender. More on the left than the right but still tender. Yesterday I felt constipated and gassy (TMI I know) and I still haven't been able to go to the bathroom. I just want to make sure I'm just feeling more intense constipation and not something more serious.

I feel that way too, remember to eat foods with fiber and plenty of water to avoid constipation, the constipation causes the bloating! It ***** i hate it! My pants wont close but its cause im so bloated!
t recommend home remedies after several years of a medical problem. Chronic constipation has true causes that underlie the issue and you should be evaluated by a doctor. Irritable bowel syndrome comes to mind---- which most people think means diarrhea. it doesn't, it is the opposite and it is treatable.
So, I'd schedule a doctors visit.
