My pregnancy symptoms have persisted and gotten worse since I miscarried almost 2 wks ago. The Dr said, since I wasn't 5 wks yet when I miscarried all the hormones should be out of my body and that I shouldn't be experiencing symptoms anymore. They never checked my blood hcg levels nor did an ultrasound.

I am sorry for your loss. When you passed a large clot of tissue on the 12th, that was probably the completion of your miscarriage. I know people who have conceived not long after having a miscarriage. Are you asking if you could still be pregnant and didn't actually miscarry or are you wondering if you conceived again? It is possible you conceived again, if in doubt, take another hpt.
Hey, I'm so sorry you miscarried. I'm 21 and I've miscarried 3 times. I know how painful it is and I hope you your heart mends soon. Sometimes you don't have a period for a month of two. My last miscarriage was in April and I didn't have my period for two months, and before that I miscarried and four days after my miscarriage was over I found out I was pregnant again without having a period in between.
well now Ive been bleeding all day Im at 8 1/2 weeks and now would be the time of month id normally start my period...could i be having a miscarriage or could of multiple test showed a false positive? Ive been sick, tired and have breast pain but this all started within the past two week. When could i take another test to see if Im still pregnant if this bleeding continues like a normal period?

This is the only problem with testing early, that you sometimes can pick up a pregnancy then you go on to have your period like normal, they class that as a chemical pregnancy, when the tests wernt so good you would never have known that you were pregnant, or maybe just had abit of a late period, in saying that, you have a very good chance of having a healthy pregnancy this time round.
I would go to the hospital. Bleeding is not abnormal in some women, but the heaviness and the clots are signs of possible miscarriage. At least they can tell you if you're in active miscarriage...if they don't tell you, ask if your cervix is open or closed. If its closed, it means you're not actively miscarrying. This happened to me, though not heavy or with clots, and they said that when you bleed in pregnancy it means your chance of miscarriage is about 50/50.
It may be impossible to tell now. your best bet at finding out is getting a blood hcg test done, and see if there are still any pregnancy hormones in your system. however even if there aren't, it's still possible you had an early miscarriage and your levels have already returned to zero. maybe a scan would be a good idea too, to make sure there's nothing in your womb.
So I have been feeling a little funny and finally took a pregnancy test yesterday after not remembering the last time I had a period. Discouraged from our miscarriage in April I doubted that it would happen again so soon after all we have been trying for over 5 years. I have been drininking alot before I found out and am nervous about anything that could be wrong from the alcohol to the fetus.
It's very common as long as it isn't like really really painful your fine. Most of the time it's your body stretching or kind of like period cramps were you usually would have it at this time...
I had a miscarriage on 12/31/09, and I was about 7 weeks pregnant. My HCG was tested to make sure it went down appropriately. On 1/22/10 my HCG was 17. Well I got my blood test results back on 2/11/10, and they were at 3 so they said that it 'probably left over from the miscarriage.' . Would it take 3 weeks to go down to 3? I asked if that hcg could be from a new pregnancy but they said "doubtfully" but I don'tknow.
m sorry to learn of your loss! The good news about a miscarriage is that it confirms that pregnancy IS possible. If you didn't require surgery ( D&C ) there is no need to wait at all before trying again. Usually it takes 4-6 weeks for the next period to arrive.
Sometimes the first few cycles are a little different than usual.

A doctor told you, you can have a period and be pregnant? That is impossible, and I would DEFINITELY not see that doctor. You can't have a period while pregnant, a period is your uterus lining shedding and getting rid of an unfertilized egg, if you're pregnant, your egg is fertilized and cannot be shed, hence no period. I think doctors think it's easiest to explain any vaginal bleeding by calling it a period, it's pregnancy related bleeding, not a period.
I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks and it was like I was having a period. No cramping, just constant blood. The cramping after my D/C was the worst pain. I bled for atleast a week or two after.
A pregnancy test can be taken after your missed period I took mine the day of my missed period and it showed but everyone is different and I'm chosing ro wait to let everyone know til after my first ultrasound which will be in 2 wks
I had a miscarriage on Aug 20th and bleeded for 12 days than I got my period Oct 2nd and I tried again and am pregnant. By any chance is it possible that my now 8 weeks and 3 days pregnancy is still the first pregnancy? I had an ultrasound by my Dr after my oct 2nd period and he didnt mention anything.
