Mircette endometriosis

Common Questions and Answers about Mircette endometriosis

mircette

Hi - This is my first time posting, but I am certain that I have endometriosis. I have so many of the symptoms (pelvic, lower back and abdominal pain, bowel/gastro issues, horrible cramps, etc.). I am 39, but believe that BCP's helped suppress some of my symptoms for years until I had my last child (I was diagnosed about 10 years ago with IBS). I decided to get off BCPs and since, have been feeling awful. I am back on the pill (continuous Mircette), but still do not feel well.
I have had horrible, doubling over down on the floor pain for years. I was on Tylenol #3 for the pain, which helped somewhat. The doctor I had at that time, who unfortunately is now retired, tried me on birth control pills, and with the migraines I have I just could not tolerate them. She mentioned lupron, but said with my family history of osteoporsis, that was not a good idea (I didn't want to try it, either).
I was on low-hormone birth control throughout that entire relationship (first on Alese and then switched to Mircette). There were a few times that we did not use condoms. Then I didn't have sex for three years. I spent one night with a male friend and when I saw him naked, thought, "That's not going to fit." His penis is very thick and I'm a woman who always asks the doctor to use the smallest speculum.
I have had NO break thru bleeding, but I am having severe breast tenderness, almost to the point of not being able to sleep, wear a bra. I am a 38 yr old mother of 3. I had my tubal in 1998, had severe endometriosis a year ago and had Laparoscopic ablation performed.
Hey gals, So I think I'm having the same problem. In high school I was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst with suspicions of endometriosis and put on Ortho-tricyclen. I was not sexually active at the time and didnt have any problems. I was taking this for about 2 1/2 years when the severe cramping, etc. began again and was switched to OrthoNovum 1/35.
anyways, I can't be pregnant since we had sex day after my period ended AND, I am now back on the pill - found out I have endometriosis. I know nothing is for sure, but I really cannot be pregnant. Also, I have just had a mamo and my regular dr visit and all was fine there. I do know I have dense breasts but they have not been noted as fibercystic breast.
No side effects, no nothing (and I have severe endometriosis if I don't do this). PLEASE don't let anyone talk you into Depo Provera shots. That stuff is evil incarnate. It will stop your sex drive, just make you feel like a sexless piece of nothing. Hey, they give it to men to stop their sex drive, so what is up with that? I suggest just trying a regular mini dose birth control without the breaks in between.
