mircette endometriosis

Hi - This is my first time posting, but I am certain that I have endometriosis. I have so many of the symptoms (pelvic, lower back and abdominal pain, bowel/gastro issues, horrible cramps, etc.). I am 39, but believe that BCP's helped suppress some of my symptoms for years until I had my last child (I was diagnosed about 10 years ago with IBS). I decided to get off BCPs and since, have been feeling awful. I am back on the pill (continuous Mircette), but still do not feel well.

ve been told that its 1mg of norethindrone is still pretty androgenic especially for those who already have an imbalance. Would Mircette be an option with desogestrel being less angrogenic? Also, any experience with prescribed HALF tab of OC? (ie. instead of Loestrin 1/20.. use 0.5/10 for hormonal imbalance?) Just concerned about initial breakout. Just some background... I have not used OC previously.

For the past 10 days I have had light brown discharge non-stop, bloating, and bad stomach cramps. I was on Azurette birth control for about a year and then I switched to Mircette(this is my first pack); so I was wondering if the switch could have anything to do with it even though they are basically the same birth control. I am due for my period on Tuesday the 29th. I am very confused as to why this is happening so I'm wondering if you have any ideas or explanations!

By the way, I've been taking mircette but I'm probably going to start something else because it is very expensive.

ve been on Mircette (a.k.a Kariva). Before I started Mircette I stopped my pills about 3 days before I was supposed to right before I was to start my cycle. Anyway, long story short, with this pill all I've had are bad gas and gas pains, some cramping but other than that I don't feel like I'm on bcp. Well yesterday I was supposed to have my period but when I thought it was here, I had mucus like cm and then some pinkish brownish discharge with it.

I have just gone through a similar situation. I stopped taking Mircette on 6/4. Since then I've had all kinds of stomach cramps, pinches, nausea, REALLY SORE BOOBS, and all other stuff you would expect from PMS or possible pregnancy. AF showed exactly 4 weeks after I took my last pill. My body was getting back to pre-bcp body. Your body is going through that same thing in my opinion.

Also taking birth control (Mircette) continuously for period suppression (ie, only 4 periods a year -- 3 months of active pills followed by a one week break.) I am having trouble interpreting my latest labs with my thyroid and sex hormones... Sex Hormone Binding Globulin - 306 (high) Testosterone, Free - 1 (low) Testosterone, Free Percent - .3 (low) Testosterone, Total - 41 T3 - 229 (high) Thyroxine, Free - 1.5 TSH - 1.22 How is it that my T3 is elevated and the other be fine?

Hi, are you on birth control? I was on Mircette to regulate my cycle and because it wasn't "strong enough" I spotted mid cycle. I also spotted on the Depo shot so it could be birth control. You are not pregnant from giving a hand job.. unless you took the semen and inserted it into your vagina which I doubt you did. If you did have sex and just don't want to say.. then you could be pregnant and the spotting could be implantation bleeding.

I work in the medical field yet I have been blind to my own symptoms. I am 47 and on Mircette for birth control and as a prophylactic for migraines - so I do not have a period. For the past three months or so I have been waking at 3am (despite 100 mg Trazadone that had been working fairly for several years) soaked in sweat. Sorry for the run-on sentence. Anyway, I attributed this to stress and a worsening of my Anxiety NOS.

I think they're confused. If you read the full prescribing information, it's the PILL that screws with the lamotrigine, not the other way around. It's not like a lot of other anticonvulsants. i would like to know if having endometriosis means i'm infertile? the pain is terrible and i have had two laprosocopys (spelling wrong) and the doctors says it's severe.

I was diagnosed with endometriosis over a year ago. I've had the surgery and been put on hormone tablets and been kept on cerazette. With cerazette I went a year with no periods but recently I've been having periods every week and they last about 3 to 4 days. They always start on a Sunday and the blood is extremely black and wet looking. It also still hurts during sex. I'm not too sure what to do as the specialist said they got rid of all the endometriosis.

Welcome to the Endometriosis forum. There are a couple of things that you have been told that upsets me. When a doctor tells you to complete a family by 25 that is just not an okay things to say to someone. At any time someone could become infertile and people won't know until they try. It also makes women rush into relationships or commitments when they would have waited. There is no way to tell and doctors need to stop saying this.

I had an exploratory surgery on Friday and was diagnosed with Endometriosis on my uterus, ovary and bladder. My doctor said that was the cause of my pain and the severe bloating. Hello, The medications that can help with endometriosis are hormonal forms of birth control and thus will prevent pregnancy when taken properly. So if you are trying to conceive you should not be taking any meds to help with endometriosis. Best wishes, .

I have endometriosis, and I am allergic to latex. I have a long history of breast cancer in my family. I cannot have children, I have adverse reactions to hormone therapy and birth controll. I have an IUD right now but am in severe pain. Non latex condoms do not offer enough protection. I am 28 and thinking about having a hysterectomy, but am unsure if that will increase my risk for breast cancer, and other hormone issues, any feedback or help would be great!

After the ultrasound and MRI my doctor said that I have adenomyosis and endometriosis that is attached with my rectum, rectosigmoid and servix. My doctor advised that she can't do the surgery to remove the endometriosis because she is scared that she will create a hole on my rectum. I agree with tmarland04. An ultrasound usually does not detect endometriosis. I personally had endometriosis. I underwent laparascopic surgery in 2001 and battled it for 6 years until I finally had to have a complete hysterectomy (ovary removal) and I am only 31 years old.
