ve been told that its 1mg of norethindrone is still pretty androgenic especially for those who already have an imbalance. Would Mircette be an option with desogestrel being less angrogenic? Also, any experience with prescribed HALF tab of OC? (ie. instead of Loestrin 1/20.. use 0.5/10 for hormonal imbalance?) Just concerned about initial breakout. Just some background... I have not used OC previously.

For the past 10 days I have had light brown discharge non-stop, bloating, and bad stomach cramps. I was on Azurette birth control for about a year and then I switched to Mircette(this is my first pack); so I was wondering if the switch could have anything to do with it even though they are basically the same birth control. I am due for my period on Tuesday the 29th. I am very confused as to why this is happening so I'm wondering if you have any ideas or explanations!

By the way, I've been taking mircette but I'm probably going to start something else because it is very expensive.

ve been on Mircette (a.k.a Kariva). Before I started Mircette I stopped my pills about 3 days before I was supposed to right before I was to start my cycle. Anyway, long story short, with this pill all I've had are bad gas and gas pains, some cramping but other than that I don't feel like I'm on bcp. Well yesterday I was supposed to have my period but when I thought it was here, I had mucus like cm and then some pinkish brownish discharge with it.

I have just gone through a similar situation. I stopped taking Mircette on 6/4. Since then I've had all kinds of stomach cramps, pinches, nausea, REALLY SORE BOOBS, and all other stuff you would expect from PMS or possible pregnancy. AF showed exactly 4 weeks after I took my last pill. My body was getting back to pre-bcp body. Your body is going through that same thing in my opinion.

I decided to get off BCPs and since, have been feeling awful. I am back on the pill (continuous Mircette), but still do not feel well. I would love to find an endo specialist/surgeon in the Washington DC/Maryland/Virginia area to get the endo excised. I am tired of feeling so awful. I would love to travel to a specialty center, but I have 3 young children and a part-time job. Thank you so much!!

Also taking birth control (Mircette) continuously for period suppression (ie, only 4 periods a year -- 3 months of active pills followed by a one week break.) I am having trouble interpreting my latest labs with my thyroid and sex hormones... Sex Hormone Binding Globulin - 306 (high) Testosterone, Free - 1 (low) Testosterone, Free Percent - .3 (low) Testosterone, Total - 41 T3 - 229 (high) Thyroxine, Free - 1.5 TSH - 1.22 How is it that my T3 is elevated and the other be fine?

Hi, are you on birth control? I was on Mircette to regulate my cycle and because it wasn't "strong enough" I spotted mid cycle. I also spotted on the Depo shot so it could be birth control. You are not pregnant from giving a hand job.. unless you took the semen and inserted it into your vagina which I doubt you did. If you did have sex and just don't want to say.. then you could be pregnant and the spotting could be implantation bleeding.

I work in the medical field yet I have been blind to my own symptoms. I am 47 and on Mircette for birth control and as a prophylactic for migraines - so I do not have a period. For the past three months or so I have been waking at 3am (despite 100 mg Trazadone that had been working fairly for several years) soaked in sweat. Sorry for the run-on sentence. Anyway, I attributed this to stress and a worsening of my Anxiety NOS.

I think they're confused. If you read the full prescribing information, it's the PILL that screws with the lamotrigine, not the other way around. It's not like a lot of other anticonvulsants. And unlike some other seizure medicines, it does not reduce the effectiveness of birth control pills.

t had my period on my own for over a year now, and even stopped getting it while still on Mircette (birth control). My OB moved us onto a fertility specialist ASAP and with a moderate PCOS diagnosis, despite no cysts, I am waiting for my first beta blood test tomorrow to see if our round 1 of IVF was successful. I had maybe 5 migraines until my mid-thirties, then started getting menstrual migraines every few months. I started taking Premarin on my placebo days on my Mircette , and no more migraines, well maybe a few, but not many. I saw an ophthamologist on the 18th; he said my optic nerves looked very healthy, and that the floaters that suddenly appeared were most likely from the pressure change from the LP and CSF leak.

I dont think its depression its just a part of pregnancy like i used to wear size 6 now i am size 10 and sometimes 12 its weird going from being really pretty to big and gross. well thats how i feel and the tired thing i so understand i took today off work just so i could sleep and im still laying in bed lol. im hoping it passes soon.

Hi...it is something we all go thru post op...and as some have pointed out, they needed meds to help them thru this period....but, it is a stage in the recovery period that u should be hitting about now..... It is typical, and normal, just not easy....I tried to watch things on TV or the web that would make me laugh...Like Victor Borge...he is a funny man...always makes me laugh.... U also can be affected by the meds and drugs used during surgery....

My grandmother has been on anti depression pills for years on my fathers side and my mothers sister has suffered from manic depression since the birth of her last son. Im asking because the 6 months ive been feeling low, have anxiety problems, worry about everything, get stressed out easily. Not spoken to a dr yet.

ve not had depression but I know with anxiety medication and counselling has helped. Have you tried either?

i have diagonise with depression i have tried alot of SSRI one that is helpful for me is clomipramine currently i am taking 200 mg of clomipramine,while taking other medicine for depression my throid level has raised to 26.9 TSH ref range (0.4-4.5),i am totally chronically fatigue there is heavy on head i think that i cant do anything memory low what shuld i do to regain my health.

Hi I need some help please, my girlfriend/partner of a year suffers with depression. To say the last year has been strange and mainly volatile is an understatement. I'm 37 and she's 38.we work together.for the last year we have constantly argued and haven't spoken for days on end. I've never Bern in this type of relationship before or never witnessed anything like it.

Is anyone else suffering from depression during their pregnancy idk if my hormones or what but I also lost my mom last may and I just feel so down and depressed and alone even though I have lots of family friends and a great husband just wish she was here I was very close with her
