I have all of the symptoms, no money to get tested. I do have some old minocycline and tetracycline from old acne.

I seem to be getting better. There are ups and downs but I am able to move much better than anytime in the past 7 and a half years. Just wondering how long one has to be on the drug and if it really makes you better.
So continue using the Minocycline and if the symptoms persist then steroids may have to be added.Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

I have been on Minocycline for coming up 9 years now and i'm currently down to one 50mg pill a day to control my acne, my question is what effects does it have on my cognitive ability and memory over such a long period of time.
Three days later culture was ALL NEGATIVE. Kept taking Minocycline during the wait and by this time my symptoms were mostly gone... EXCEPT a mild discomfort in the perineum... (prostate) By this time, because I doubled-down, I ran out of medicine (after 9 days), so I went back in for more, after reading all the horror stories about chlamydia getting into your prostate and then you're in deep ****. Doc gave me 4-5 more days of Minocycline @ 100mg/day.
I just returned from long weekend away and discovered I had all the symptoms of gonorrhea. I called around and NO place was open on Saturday. I was with a potential sexual partner and panicked. I discovered a bottle of Minocycline 100 MG tablets. I took two pills Saturday and Sunday, one on Monday and Tuesday. The symptoms discharge and painful urination are gone. I am now back in the city with access to health facilities. Should I go and be tested ? Should I continue the Minocycline ?
There was no discharge from my penis or any other symptoms so my dr thought it more likely to be anal bacterial than a traditional STI and so prescribed a 10-day course of Bactrim and told me to come see him again after the course.
Fast Forward 10 days and the burning in my penis has decreased significantly. But it hadn’t completely disappeared and there was still a very slight sting (usually just when I first urinated in the morning).
Recieved oral sex 3 days ago but I take 200mg of minocycline a day if I was wanting to go get tested will this affect my test results at all?
The doctors on here even on google say at one point minocycline was used to treat gonorrhea and that is my major concern from oral at this point. 3rd day no symptoms I can see.
The doctors say although it's not the best drug to treat gonorrhea any longer it would cenrtinaly help preventing it from oral.

I was prescribed minocycline for my acne on the 21st of December and started taking it that day, found out on the 27th of January that I am pregnant with my first baby and I am driving myself crazy with worry! Everything I've read is telling me that minocycline is extremely bad to take while pregnant or becoming pregnant.
I started minocycline feb 10 and conceived my baby feb 21 but i didnt stop the medicine until march 9 ( only because i didnt know i was preg) im 7 weeks now and i just wanna know has anybody else expericed this with a positive outcome ?
i have been taking minocycline 100 mg to 200 mg a day sometimes and using retin a micro 0.1% gel every night for 2 years.I have been getting alot of acne for the last 2 or 3 months so i went to my see my dermatologist.he said since i been taking minocycline 100 mg daily for 2 years and using the retin a micro 0.1% for 2 years and im still breaking out i should try something new like it may be wearing off....he put me on oracea 40mg once a day and differin gel 0.3%....
I was off minocycline for five days before I started birth control,as starting will the minocycline still be in my system and effect the birth control?

For the last year, I've been on 100mg of minocycline per day to treat acne. I looked up that minocycline is an investigatory drug for HIV because it can potentially reduce replication and activation in latent infected HIV cells, primary CD4+ cells.
It has been almost two-and-a-half hours since these symptoms started, and while I was hoping it was temporary, the bit of weakness is still there (typing feels a little odd). In fact, now I think that my face might still be a little tingly again as well (though not the same "asleep" feeling).

ve read on here that a person taking PEP should test after 3 months of being off PEP to obtain a conclusive result. I took minocycline for 4 months after possible exposure. Then got tested 3 and a half weeks later (around 5 months). Negative result. The test was a rapid antibody test. Can someone please weigh in and tell me could minocycline possibly be used as a PEP drug for HIV? And if so, should I be worried about my status? Should I test again?
Two days later, I developed a single ulcer the size of a BB and surrounding swelling on the shaft of my penis. I take minocycline (antibiotic) for acne, but had not taken it for about one month. I started taking it a couple days after the sore and swelling appeared, and both subsided within 3-4 days, though I still have a slight scar from the ulcer.
It has been almost five weeks since my encounter. I have not had any fever or noticed any enlargement of my lymph nodes.
I have been on Minocycline for acne for well over a year. Usually I take 50mg twice a day, although for the last month have been on 75mg twice a day. If by some freak chance I had rectally contracted Gonorrhea or Chlamydia, would this antibiotic take care of it?
