I'm having a horrible time getting the chewable Denamarin, any suggestions on how to hid them in something to get them dow?. She has to take them on an empty stomach. Also,I was thinking about just keeping her on her i/d food that she is eating now. She loves it and its it all....where with the kibble royal canine, she grazes and only eats it after all begging for human food fail....so you think that would be okay? Thank you again for all you help.
You can get the thistle with it already in it, but it is expensive that way. You'd take 3 400mg caps of Milk Thistle 3 x's a day on an empty stomach. Thymus and adrenal glandulars would be beneficial as this virus takes its toll on the immune system. Selenium is also good. Folic acid is also good. Never take more than 800 mcg a day. B12 is beneficial. Liquid minerals are excellent. Just a squirt in water works wonders. Stay away from any multi with iron in it.
yeah, I sure wouldn't take milk thistle on treatment, it cleans certain liver pathways and you want those meds to stay in there as long as possible, though I would take more then youre going to MyOwn.. Snook: know you don't come around much, but what was it that you took along with treatment? I had it somewhere but I have to go really look for it...
you were able to maintain a good supply while nursing your first, so obviously your body can produce sufficient amounts of milk. milk supply is determined both by how much you empty and by how much stimulation your breasts receive. you boobs don't know the difference between a pump and a baby. pumping for 5 minutes sends the message that what you have is enough. also, it is quite possible that you are not getting all of your let-downs. i have several let downs after the initial one.
there is a natural way to help with increasing milk production that i used. its an herb called fenugreek. its actually used mostly in digestion i think, but my lactation consultant had me use it and after a few days i could have fed the state of texas!! call your ped and see if they are ok with that.
Gradually ad stomach friendy food like low fat yogurt. Keep an eye on what upsets you or look up on line about food combining and check PH foods vs acidic foods. Do some walking or light excercising and do not eat atleast 4-5 hours before bed. If your hungry have only a light protein snack. This even now is still a work in progress for me but I feel a lot better.
Best wishes for a good recovery. Did a gyn/onc perform the surgery? Those ice chips are wonderful and as soon as she can "walk the hospital floor " the better. Want to get everything moving again. When they move her off the morphine to other pain killers, my advice is "not on an empty stomach." I saw that with my roommate and she threw up constantly with oxycontin. So when it was my turn for pain killers I told them the lightest one you have.
I too have fainted during an onset of severe cramps. I usually squirm on the bathroom floor and then I start sweating and then I wake up about 20 min later on the bathroom floor. It is unimagineable pain that I am in and it is always a scarey experience when I am about to faint. It is nice to hear that I am not the only one that experiences this..
It got worse if I drank any alcohol, and it got worse when eating large meals. It also seemed to get worse on an empty stomach. There was no winning! Initially there was no pain, just a fullness or pressure-like feeling. But it seems now if I drink, there is a period where it graduates to a dull ache. Fast-forward almost two months and the feet are almost back to normal, and the abdomen issues seem to flare up if I drink, stay for a couple of days then subside.
Before, during, after meals, or on an empty stomach? Tried taking it on an empty stomach a few times but I've found that, unfortunately, the enteric coating survives the journey intact. I started taking it due to peripheral neuropathy that developed during INF/Riba tx.
Apparently there's a large scale study on milk thistle effects going on somewhere but I don't know if it's finished. Haven't personally seen any results. I'd be interested to know if you've seen something conclusive. I've been taking milk thistle for 13 years, had geno 1A all that time, drank like a fish, and biopsy shows me at grade 0. Of course I no longer drink, and especially not while on tx, but I'm happy to accredit the milk thistle to at least some of the lack of damage.
However, the following supplements are helpful for me Vitamin C - 3000 mg day in divided doses Vitamin D - 6000 ius day (D is usually low in MS folks) Complete B complex Methylcobolamin (B12) 1000 mg day sublingual Digestive enzymes Probiotics L-Tryptophan 1000 mg before bed with fruit juice (builds seratonin, instead of antidepressant) helps with pain and sleep problems L-Tyrosine 1000 mg first thing in morning (good for mood, energy and dopamine production) EPA-DHA omega 3 fatty acid gels.
I went off my vitamins for 2 weeks and felt so fatigued. That was a good test. Good luck and you will find lots of research on Milk Thistle on this forum. Washington State Un. is looking for volunteers who have not cleared to do a study with MIlk Thistle, must be something to it.
I eat all food at night so I can get the max effect of the drugs on an empty stomach - and we all know eating at night is bad for you as well. Problems compounded by infinity!!! I don't think that the damage done can even begin to be measured. Certainly not in money - time - relationships??? Hw do you put a value on your life what is age 20-30 worth in dollars??? The most scariest thing in the whole wolrd to me is not dieing - of some ****** up gastro disease but being without opiates.

It really seems to act up when my mind runs on the situation. So this possibly could be an anxiety issue. I am going to have my blood pressure checked thou, you should probably too. I will check my pulse too when its not happening and check when it starts.
I did read (on my research about green tea) that it can irritate the stomach very bad if taken on an empty stomach, maybe tea in general does the same.....maybe try with a bit of food first and make sure not to let it seep long. It is also lnown to stumilate the acids in you stomach.......if you are prone to that, they suggest adding milk to your tea Good luck!
taking paracetamol (acetaminophen in the USA) on an empty stomach or with alcohol can be harmful. Eating regularly will help avoid this as well as help you absorb any other medications or supplements you are taking. But, if you are in pain, paracetamol is the best option with a safe dosage being 500mg four times a day or 2g daily (Riley, 2001 - part 1).
The only other things I have going on that MAY be related, is an upper back pain/numbness... unknown cause. Been going on for years though. No diagnosis. So basically I'm out of ideas, and about to go insane. It's terrible at night not being able to sleep because of that feeling, and not being able to sleep with my girlfriend because I keep her awake with my constant moving around and itching...
I have also been informed that I have Acis REflux and I do believe that this is another result from popping so many pills on an empty stomach. I have ordered and on the way, Yoga tapes. I'm hoping that I can start myself into my own program of strenghtening and strecthing program. Today is a HELL day. I didn't get to sleep until 3am, was back up at 4 am and then again at 8am. I'm just looking for some advice or maybe just encouragment. Have a Great Day all and Hang in there.
I do both the teas and the pills. 400mg 3 x's a day on an empty stomach for the Milk Thistle. Again, take it with Phosphatidylcholine. I hear people do better with the teas in addition to the pills. There is also Oxymatrine. It's showing good results with liver repair in China. They do IV's there, but you can get the pills here. I wouldn't take it with tx, as no one knows what the combintation would do. http://www.hepcsolutions.com/Matrine_Oxymatrine.htm Buy oxymatrine: https://www.
but I know how frustrated you must be that this is yet another issue on your plate now. Since you already have an appt set with an endo, that's half the battle. I've had thyroid issues since just prior to starting TX but I'm hypo, not hyper so I don't know much about hyper. I do know that another friend of mine went hyper just towards the end of her TX (about the same as you) and her endo elected not to do anything about it until after her tx was over.
Me too, I got the crap all over me too......itchy scalp driving me nuts, in the eyes, swimming around; between my toes, in my butt, on my skin; on my face........ Lordie! I moved into a city officials house here, in Saratoga Springs, NY, and the women before me was trying to tell me that she had been attacked by bugs, but the landlord was standing right there, and she refrained...well, since then, I was told.
Only take it for 4 days on and then rest for 3 days because Borax will over stimulate and correct your hormones. You need 3 days rest from it. Three times a day on an empty stomach take milk thistle which release (parasites and sodium) toxins from my liver and rebuilds new cells. I also drink 3 times a day bentonite clay to soak up the toxins release from my liver. The safflower helps bowel movements and removes brown fat around organs.
drinking water squeezed with fresh lemon 3X a day (if you google-search home remedies for cirrhosis), drinking lemon water 3X a day will help, as well as drinking freshly-squeezed orange juice 2X a day on an empty stomach. Also, try whole grains and whole wheat bread instead of white bread; brown and red rice instead of white rice.
I only eat fruit on an empty stomach. For exercise I just work out on the Wii Fitness for 1/2 an hour a day. This works really well for me.
Well I've never tried fenugreek at all I have tried Raglen 10mg, and it did nothing I finally went to a Pediatric Urgent Care and the doctor recommended 1 cup (1/2 a beer) every morning on an empty stomach. That has worked for me. I usually would pump 1/2 ounce and when I started drinking the beer everyday I began pumping 2-4 ounces at a time. My baby is still a newborn though, but the dr. said that the yeast in the beer causes you to produce more milk.
milk thistle is a herb that helps reverse liver damage, I also suggest doing liver detoxes as well as eating strictly organic foods here on out.
Any kind will do. I take them on an empty stomach in the morning, some in the afternoon and then in the evening. Our livers need help. When I was in the hospital detoxing the first time, they gave me this disgusting medicine to drink every 4 hours for 2 days. It totally flushed out my liver. I think it's helping and it's worth a try. I take it instead of my Vicodin!
The treatment is 250mg of BHT taken twice a day with water on an empty stomach. This BHT stuff really does work. ...
