2030686 tn?1351688548 Even the ones that specifically say milk free on the label have milk in them. Lactose free usually still has milk poducts in it and typically whey comes from milk. Any one else with a milk allergy on peg/riba who can help me out here? Any suggestions on what to do when I can't eat? Like I said, it's not lactose that's a problem, it's any milk products.
Avatar m tn It has been suggested that TDF-associated renal toxicity causes elevations in parathyroid hormone (17, 48). A lower eGFR is associated with parathyroid hormone elevations in both children and adults with early renal failure (38). While TDF use was associated with a decrease in eGFR and increase in parathyroid hormone, 1,25-OHD was higher in the TDF than in the no-TDF group. In patients with mild renal insufficiency, 1,25-OH(2)D decreases (38).
1328587 tn?1277660408 Well it isn't harmful. If you are Lactose Intolerant then definitely drink it! If you drink it because you don't want the hormones found in regular milk you may want to consider hormone-free milk. I love Shatto milk. I don't know if that is only local to me, though, or if they distribute elsewhere.
Avatar n tn Prior to December 2010, I drank 1 - 1.5 cups of fat free skim milk for breakfast every day, for years and years. However, in December 2010, I had stomach flu for a few days, and a primary-care doctor told me to stop drinking milk until the stomach flu went away. Three weeks later, after the stomach flu had been gone for about 2 weeks or so, I tried drinking milk, and I had an upset stomach. So, I stopped drinking milk once again, and I haven't had any milk since then.
Avatar f tn As far as intestinal fungal overgrowth goes, I know that milk feeds it as it turns to sugar and sugar feeds fungus correct, so maybe I am just still aggrivating things intestionily, (though it does not seem like it symptom wise), even with the preservative free, hormone free, vitamin/mineral/protein packed raw goats milk. It really does seem to be helping with her hunger spikes too! She seems more satisfied and "level".
Avatar n tn Every 7 grams equals one heaping tablespoon of refined sugar making 1 cup almost 2 tblsp of sugar. Nasty. Instead, try sugar free almond or hemp milk. Read carefully the nutrition label for hidden sugars. Not much could be found on Carnation sugar free instant breakfast. Contains about 27 grams of carbs. If your blood sugars elevate with almond or hemp milk find something else to eat such as oatmeal. Lunch: Read the flour tortilla nutrition label carefully.
Avatar f tn My theory is, if breast milk is so much better for a baby than formula, then why do you need to feed a every 2 to 3 hours on breast milk and every 3 to 4 hours on formula? Breast milk is natural, so it can be deemed as "better" and easier on the babys tummy, but formula has a garenteed amount of vitamins and minerals in every serving and as a mommy, i want to make sure my baby is getting all the needed vitamins and minerals in every feeding.
Avatar f tn Hi, I cut out dairy and stopped having itchy skin and swollen sore joints in hands and feet...unless I miss a hidden milk derived ingredient in the label, and then I have to go through everything in the cupboard to find out where the pesky milk-based ingredient came from! If you think, but are not sure, that you have an allergy or sensitivity to either or both, then cut out first one then the other.
Avatar f tn Ok I think will try drinking chocolate milk because I can't really drink white milk like talking about & I will try to drink more water but its so hard because it doesnt have a taste to it :(
Avatar f tn Gluten, peanuts, artificial sweeteners, regular milk (use almond milk) (I have also found a local dairy/farm that carries fresh goats milk and cows milk, so we are giving the goats milk a try which is high in protein and tast great with no hormones or preservatives) and sugar are avoided as much as possible (fungal and blood sugar issues with these). Eat REAL food with high protein as much as possible.
1568790 tn?1295509942 Food intolerances can also cause many nutrient deficiencies, leading to many of your symptoms. Gluten, milk and sugar and yeast and genetics and hormone imbalances can all be connected with autoimmune problems. So due to your extensive list of symptoms, I would highly recommend starting off with a gluten free diet for about 3 months and see what symptoms improve. If the gluten is having an impact on hormones, give the hormones a few months to even out.
Avatar f tn I pumped nd stored sum breast milk in the refrigerator nd forgot to label the date I think its been in there a lil over a week my son has his doc app tomorrow nd I shall be given it to him then will it be still safe or should I throw it out??
Avatar n tn i would think that they should sell regular milk like we drink in the states, but check the label first just to be sure.
Avatar f tn s is a brand of gluten free baked goods you may find pretty good. Canyon Bake House makes a terrific gluten free rosemary focaccia bread that is actually soft and not crumbly.
Avatar m tn I've avoided soy all my life but only in specific forms. I remember once when I was a young kid (I'm 30 now), I tried some of my mothers soy milk and instantly felt sick and had a upset stomach. Fast forward to today I bought a shake called ViSalus Vanilla Cream shake. It contained GMO free-soy according to the label but taking it was unbearable. I tried it a maybe twice, got a itchy/irritated throat. Even just swishing it around my mouth in a diluted dose produced a reaction.
Avatar n tn I see you've had TSH and Free T4 tests, but have you ever had a Free T3 test done? Free T3 is the hormone that's used by individual cells in our body, while Free T4 is a storage hormone and isn't used directly; it must be converted to Free T3. It's possible that your body isn't converting it adequately which is keeping you in a hypothyroid state. Also, have you ever been tested for Hashimoto's? Hashimoto's is the # 1 cause of hypothyroidism.
Avatar f tn 01 on 1/19 and my milk production drastically decreased. I stopped taking my thyroid meds in desperation to get my milk supply back as fast as possible because even when we used the hypoallergenic formula my baby was still passing massive blood in her stool. Doctor also foolishly started me on domperidone to increase supply, I have one child already that I successfully bf without any issues for 18 months. Tsh was tested again on 2/8 and it was at 19.6.
Avatar f tn Talk to your doctor about a hormone free birth control, it will keep your child safe from toxins in birth control and it will give you time to think about if you want hormones or not. I breast feed on a hormone free birth control to and it was great ! My only worry was when I stopped getting my period completely, which was odd.
1194973 tn?1385503904 Has anyone ever heard of this drug called Premarin? I was given it after the surgery yesterday and according to the leaflet it's just a female hormone. I assume Estrogen? I asked a few doctors and got different answers from each one.
