Avatar f tn As you said your weight is 42-45kgs and you want to gain some weight. Then, you are suggested to follow few things; Have a apple slice with peanut butter, bread with mayonnaise but make sure all these things will not effect your baby's health. Eat oats, Drink milk and other high-calorie beverages, drink plenty of water. Take Low-Fat Dairy Products (yogurt, cheese and milk products).

Avatar n tn Due to the fact you are extremely underweight and you need to gain weight slowly, recommend a Heart Healthy diet which means a moderate fat diet to increase ‘good’ fats to benefit your body. Moderate fat diet means = use polyunsaturated (omega 3, corn oil, nuts, etc) fats and monounsaturated (olive oil, canola oil, peanut oil, etc) fats, no saturated fats (high fat snack foods, butter, fat spreads) and no trans fats.

Avatar f tn Banana and milk or banana shake or smoothie, whole-grain toast, fruits, granola, nuts. Eat more fruit and drink less juice. Do not give milk mixed with ghee to your child. It is not healthy.

Avatar f tn While it's true that fat is necessary in a healthy diet and will help you gain weight, you do have to watch the fat calories. Too much fat could cause other health issues. Eat a healthy well balanced diet and try increasing your portion sizes.
Avatar m tn Suggest eating more protein foods, such as yogurt, eggs, cheese, and milk with your meals to help you gain weight and lower your glucose levels. Suggest eating a light snack of protein food with starch just before bed and see if your morning levels go down. If not, stop the snack and speak with your Doctor. Thank you for your question.

Avatar f tn She does not seem to gain weight/height as per her age. She had congenital defects and had two major surgeries when she was 2 days & 3 months old. She had remained skinny from the beginning but while I see her friends/cousins of her age bigger in size, I really get worried. She is completely fine and active after the surgeries. I would like to know if there is any way (with the proper diet) that can make her gain her height and weight.
Avatar f tn I have to disagree with the advice to eat high calorie foods to gain weight and to eat cream and milk and not to drink water -- this isn't healthy. Weight gainer shakes aren't healthy. What you want is a healthy diet that accomplishes what you want to accomplish -- putting in unhealthy food doesn't do that, it just makes you fat in places but still the same overall shape. There is also no vitamin to gain weight, and doctors know virtually nothing about vitamins.
Avatar n tn My doctor has not had me change his diet at all and says that his diet is fine but he still says that his lack of weight gain is concerning. Are there any weight gain tips that you know of or any high calorie foods I can add to his diet that dont contain wheat or milk?
