Avatar f tn I've always been allergic (not lactose intolerance) to milk since I was born. Now at 5 weeks all I want to eat is milk and things made from milk. Does this mean my baby isn't allergic to milk? Or my allergy for milk going away since I'm pregnant? Or just being pregnant cravings? I don't want to drink milk thinking I'm not allergic and get sick. Help please?

1099716 tn?1257569824 Well I called the place this morning and asked them about the milk shakes. I found out they use a lot of butter fat in their milkshakes... which is apparently not something done regularly since I've never had this issue before. What does it mean being allergic to this? I'm I possibly mildly lactose intolerant? I used to be an avid milk drinker and had stomach problems and they switched me to skim milk. I never had what I would call a noticeble issue after that.
Avatar f tn It doesn't really help but lactose intolerance is actually not an allergy, it's a normal development your body goes through at some point in your life. Anyway, try lactofree products. I don't know where you live but they're widely available here in the UK. There are also little tablets you can take to help you digest dairy products.
