6224500 tn?1388947668 Hello there, Just finished reading your post. You say you eat gluten/wheat/flour/ lactose containing food in the morning. What exact foods do you eat that contain these things ? You mention " eating gluten/lactose containing food and drink. What exactly is this and are you drinking milk, for example. It sounds to me like some food(s) you're eating in the morning are causing the bloating, gas and constipation.

Avatar f tn I've always been allergic (not lactose intolerance) to milk since I was born. Now at 5 weeks all I want to eat is milk and things made from milk. Does this mean my baby isn't allergic to milk? Or my allergy for milk going away since I'm pregnant? Or just being pregnant cravings? I don't want to drink milk thinking I'm not allergic and get sick. Help please?

416178 tn?1215760990 ) etc You also posted you took an allergy pill? What allergy(ies) are you taking allergy pills for? Swelling is a sign of an allergic reaction, especially the throat thing. The fact that once you took the allergy pill it "wasn't quite as severe" suggests you probably are on the right track. The tests you mentioned here wouldn't show an allergy unless the blood work involved was specifically designed for allergy testing.

Avatar f tn It is very easy to determine milk allergy. I assume its allergy to milk of dairy origin. Try to go off milk and milk products and see if the tightness in your chest disappears. Read all labels of any products you buy in the market—medicines, processed and canned food—anything, carefully to see if they have milk products in them. Now the good news! Every cloud has a silver lining. There are many alternate or non dairy sources of milk like soy milk, rice milk etc.
Avatar n tn Hi, I am a little sensitive to dairy products but do not have any major symptoms except for that I may have some minor stomach aches and go to the bathroom more often (but not diarrhea). My family doctor took a blood test for me and told me that I "have a milk allergy and should try to stay away from dairy products and if I do decide to eat dairy, I should take a Lactaid pill".
Avatar n tn As allergic reactions are IgE mediated, blood tests will show increase in these levels secondary to a food allergy. The problem with the food allergy testing is sometimes the amount of food they challenge with may be not sufficient to elicit any allergic reactions. When such food is consumed in large quantities can elicit allergic reaction in the form of hives, redness of skin, itching etc. You need to note down such food also in your diary and avoid the intake in future.
