Avatar f tn I've always been allergic (not lactose intolerance) to milk since I was born. Now at 5 weeks all I want to eat is milk and things made from milk. Does this mean my baby isn't allergic to milk? Or my allergy for milk going away since I'm pregnant? Or just being pregnant cravings? I don't want to drink milk thinking I'm not allergic and get sick. Help please?
Avatar f tn If I was unable to breastfeed I woulkd give my little one goats milk fo rsure which is most like breast milk then any other milk on th emarket. Hope this helps ya!
Avatar f tn Could be allergy or intolerance to milk, that's what it was for my son. Test for food allergy AND milk protein peptides showing up in the urine, indicating enzyme deficiency in breaking down milk protein. Is he irritable or occasionally spike fevers for no reason? My sons weight was in the 10th percentile and I went to the doctor from the time he was 10 months old for that and his emotional coping problems. I thought they must somehow be related, but was told no.
Avatar n tn Hi ! Has your daughter tried rice or soy milk ? If not, those are two options that you may want to discuss with her physician. Also, I would highly recommend considering purchasing a homeopathic supplement for dairy allergies. It worked for my husband's allergy to dairy (he used to get welts !) and may work for your daughter. Of course you should also discuss this with your daughter's physician and if your daughter has a severe allergy to milk...
Avatar n tn You may have a good try at pumping if you find that he is having a hard time latching on! Breast milk will be so much better for him. Also to increase your supply you can try mothers milk tea, lots of water, and oatmeal.
Avatar f tn Baby isn't getting any lactose through you, its common for babies to get hiccups when you eat or drink. Doesn't mean anything.
Avatar n tn my baby 1yr 3mnths aged, having ige 236 iu/ml, having severe cough & vomitting tendency & breathing problem, please tell me the precaution & treatment.
Avatar n tn Hi! Congratulations on the birth of your baby! I have 4 children, all were breastfed, and one had milk allergy. She didn't have bloody stools when she came in contact with milk, but did get severe hives, even if she just touched milk. She didn't outgrow this until she was 2. I too had to stop drinking all dairy products. Lookout for milk hidden in certain products, like candy bars, and processed foods. You can check out the food allergy network for products that are milk free.
Avatar f tn a possible cows milk protein intolerance/allergy, but will only drink aptamil 1st milk -21ozs a day and is on 3 meals a day, why is he putting on so little weight? my daughter is 2 and half and was loads bigger than him at the same age!!
Avatar f tn I'm 27 weeks going on 28 weeks in 20 mins but I started to leak at 27 weeks but not a lot and its here and there, but everyone is different.
Avatar n tn I have tried to giver her all sorts of milk (soy, flavored). She does not like any milk. We did allergy testing on her, and she is allergic (not extreme) to milk amongst other foods. Time has passed, and I have been giving her some milk and other foods she was allergic to. She has been doing fine eating those foods. She still does not like milk. She will eat yogurt and cheese, but not all the time.
782550 tn?1333484257 Like wheat or gluten contains riboflavin which is found in milk also.So people allergic to milk may show allergy towards wheat also. This phenomena is called cross reactivity. Pls do not consume any form of dairy product. In addition to the avoidance of allergen in your diet, you can take some OTC antihistaminics like benadryl or Claritin. They can relieve the symptoms. If your symptoms do not improve then pls consult an allergy specialist. You may need steroids or immunotherapy.
1176038 tn?1263687032 I think it could very well be a milk allergy - I had a milk allergy as a child and had the same symptoms, as well as vomiting and abdominal pain. i would contact her pediatrician again and ask him for advice on trying a milk-free diet to see if it helps her symptoms.
Avatar f tn My 15 year old daughter was first diagnosed with lactose intolerance about two years ago. She has not eaten any dairy products at all since. We went back to the doctor this past August(we see a gastroenterologist) and told her that my daughter was not able to tolerate any milk at all. She never eats dairy unless it is by accident because she can most certainly tell if she has had milk. One time I bought Wonder bread and my daughter ate some.
Avatar n tn Thank you for your response. We are due in to the doctor on Mon for his 1 year checkup and I will ask the dr about doing an evaluation. Are there any good alternatives to pediasure for children with cow's milk allergies. I am going to have him tested to verify his allergy is with cow's milk, but he recently broke out in hives.. which seemed to reappear when reintroducing the milk. This is the primary reason we put weaning on hold after beginning a couple of weeks ago.
Avatar f tn Well The baby drama has returned. I thought that Conner would tolerate being on Soy, but I was wrong again. He tolerated the Soy for a few days, and all his allergy symptoms have returned. His rash is coming back, he is spitting up again, extremely fussy, and now constipated. I do believe my son has MSPI(milk/Soy Protein Intolerance, and therefore I called my doctor to request a prescription of Neocate Formula. Im also hoping WIC will cover it with a RX from the doctor aswell.
Avatar f tn if your baby keeps throwing up breast milk should I be concerned or take a in after he throws up he's hungry again
Avatar f tn paper dust and cockroach dust m question to you is that will just medication help her as she has contolled on having these few things but hoe can she live withot milk and curd she is taking allaergens
Avatar f tn He does however have a severe Milk allergy that he may not outgrow. He also has severe GERD, worse than expected, so he is scheduled for an Upper GI at childrens hospital next week. The Pediatric GI took Conner off of Prevacid(will explain at the end of this update) but raised his Zantac to the max which is 1.5 ML's twice daily. He also has me giving him 1 tsp of Dark Karo syrup 2-3 times a day mixed in his bottle for constipation(it's working).
Avatar n tn t know what geotrichum is, but I do know that many processed milk products have sulfites in them, including powdered milk, yogurt (which has powdered milk in it) and cheese. Then, of course, there is the fermenting process necessary for making things like cheese that gets into the various mold varieties that make cheese bad for people with migraine issues.
