1900997 tn?1321659956 a couple of hours later, I get ferocious stomach pain and flatulence that smells of milk, quite often also diarrhoea. So I switched to lactose-free milk, but this has not brought about any improvement whatsoever. Skimmed milk is just as bad as full fat, so it can't be the fat content either.
Avatar m tn My chiropractor suggested it may be some food allergy, i was looking through a few more of my symptoms which are dark circles under eyes(maybe from lack of enough sleep but idk), itchy skin (my nose itches a lot), puffy eyes(every morning when i wake up my eyes are puffy), swollen glands(those one under my jaw always seem to be a little swollen), and ibs can all be from food allergy. hmmm maybe i need an allergy test.....
Avatar f tn t had anything lately that had more than possible trace amounts of milk in it. I have had the milk allergy for a couple years and it caused digestive trouble then, There was was no breathing trouble. I have had blood tests for thyroid problems relating to throat issues before (gagging feelings, throat noise-croaking sound, hiccup fights with odd vibrations in the throat and difficulty swallowing during the "episodes") no doctor has found the cause of those problems.

Avatar n tn The past few months I've been having problems with headaches where it feels like the sinuses around my eyes are swelling up (but they're not doing so enough that it's visible). Sometimes there is pain at the back of my eyes, and sometimes a bit of nausea, sometimes pain at the back of the head too. It is kind of like a migraine-lite. It becomes harder to focus my eyes, and reading becomes uncomfortable, not due to blurred vision but trouble focusing on small objects for long.
Avatar f tn If this is more than just a one type occurrence (if it happens almost every time she drinks the milk) - she could be allergic to milk. I had a milk allergy when I was a child and the vomiting and stomach pain were two of my main symptoms - I also had horrible headaches and leg pains. My allergy has gotten much better, however, I still find that I have trouble if I consume too much dairy at a time - headache, dizziness, upset stomach - so I have to be careful about how much I consume.

7729616 tn?1393795492 s in January this year and an alternative nutritionist diagnosed me with dairy intolerance. She recommended I drink rice milk, almond milk and lactose-free milk to relieve my symptoms. However, I have since been under the impression that it could be a dairy allergy rather than intolerance as I still get digestive upset when drinking the lactose-free milk and it's a very sudden reaction, which occurs within 20-30 minutes.
Avatar m tn The baby may show reaction towards breast milk also if the mother is taking dairy products in her diet.Diagnosis of milk allergy can be confirmed after skin ***** or patch tests and food challenge tests.Confirmation can be done with blood tests like RAST.It also helps in differentiating milk allergy from lactose intolerance. You need to consult an allergy specialist for that. Treatment involoves elimination of all dairy products from the diet.
Avatar m tn Milk, and dairy of such doesnt give me diarrhea or pain, like common lactose tolerance symptoms. Milk just alters my stools, turning them light colored after a few days of drinking it. So does sour cream and ice cream. I dont have this problem with cheese, and the lactose tolerance pills did not make a difference in this, because I tried them. For a while my doctor couldnt get my iron up, and we couldnt figure out why.
697772 tn?1228060328 Two weeks after my sexual encouter, a terrible pain on the right side of my neck developed. My sore throat got worse one week after that neck pain. Five days later I was with a sore throat again and also productive cough, mild fever (37.3), nasal congestion and this neck pain that never disappeared.
Avatar f tn I've always been allergic (not lactose intolerance) to milk since I was born. Now at 5 weeks all I want to eat is milk and things made from milk. Does this mean my baby isn't allergic to milk? Or my allergy for milk going away since I'm pregnant? Or just being pregnant cravings? I don't want to drink milk thinking I'm not allergic and get sick. Help please?

1198633 tn?1341182388 ve had all my troubles (EKG, 24-Hour Holter Monitor, EGD, colonoscopy, various blood tests) and had my gallbladder removed as it was thought to be the cause of my problems. And the pain lingers for a minute or so after the fact that I've sneezed and then my breast feel sore almost like I've been breastfeeding. I haven't breastfed since August last year. Avatar f tn I had one of the oddest Asthma attacks last night. I've had asthma most of my life (35 of my 39 year life) but, I don't remember ever having one that came on so quick before and went away so quick before. I'm wandering if it was caused by a food allergy I didn't know I had as I can't think of anything else that could have triggered it. Basically, I had a bowl of soup (from a tin) and a couple of cheese sandwiches for dinner then sat and watch tv.

Avatar f tn My 15 year old daughter was first diagnosed with lactose intolerance about two years ago. She has not eaten any dairy products at all since. We went back to the doctor this past August(we see a gastroenterologist) and told her that my daughter was not able to tolerate any milk at all. She never eats dairy unless it is by accident because she can most certainly tell if she has had milk. One time I bought Wonder bread and my daughter ate some.

Avatar n tn Stinging insects, Aeroallergens (uncommon), Foods and additives like Milk, egg, peanuts, nuts, soy, and wheat are the most common agents to cause such reactions. Topical lotions such as calamine decreases pain and pruritus. Systemic antihistamines (antipruritics) such as hydroxyzine or cetirizine against prescription may be helpful. Even addition of corticosteroids has possible benefits. Some products are used to mask the unwanted hair. It mainly contains hydrogen peroxide and sulfates.
Avatar n tn One possible cause is a milk allergy. Have her avoid all dairy. She can have other types of milk, like soy, rice, hemp, or almond milk if she doesn't have known allergies to those things.
Avatar n tn t know what geotrichum is, but I do know that many processed milk products have sulfites in them, including powdered milk, yogurt (which has powdered milk in it) and cheese. Then, of course, there is the fermenting process necessary for making things like cheese that gets into the various mold varieties that make cheese bad for people with migraine issues.
