The most common culprits are peanuts, milk, eggs, soya and shellfish. Allergic reactions are mediated by IgE antibodies, which are released on exposure to a particular allergen. These in turn activate mast cells and lead to a local response or systemic anaphylaxis. The diagnosis of allergy is difficult to prove or refute.
1176471 tn?1263733305 and since I have never drunk milk on a regualr basis (reports say adults do NOT need milk), just use the Lactaid for cereal in am. Never EVER have cream or cream-based foods. (If you have to have ice cream, Lactaid has that as well.) Milk or cream-based and anything with sugar just KILL me afterward. Hope this info is of use to you!

1900997 tn?1321659956 m also lactose-intolerant too and also been drinking Lactaid -Fat Free. In your case you may have to avoid milk products all together since they sound like they're doing more harm than good.
Avatar m tn Foods and additives like Milk, egg, peanuts, nuts, soy, and wheat are the most common agents to cause generalized urticaria in adults. This triggering factor should be identified and should be avoided. A skin allergy test can be useful. Treatment includes anti histaminic and glucocorticoids against prescription. I suggest you to consult a skin specialist. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn I've always been allergic (not lactose intolerance) to milk since I was born. Now at 5 weeks all I want to eat is milk and things made from milk. Does this mean my baby isn't allergic to milk? Or my allergy for milk going away since I'm pregnant? Or just being pregnant cravings? I don't want to drink milk thinking I'm not allergic and get sick. Help please?
Avatar f tn If treatment for adrenal fatigue will not help for allergy I will go for LDS drops. Nobody in my family admits that having allergy though one of my half brothers has asthma and my mom have light sensitivity to laundry powder. Probably they have different symptoms only. My father has atherosclerosis and my brother had sinus problem and cancer. Who knows it could be from allergy.
Avatar f tn Hello, Most of the breast-fed babies develop lactose intolerance which usually self corrects but not always if it is a cow milk or a formula milk "problem" or allergy/intolrance with some dietary ingredient. Most babies with milk allergy are allergic to cow’s milk protein, while others are allergic to soy protein, and some to both. Breast-fed infants normally have stools that look like watery, yellow cottage cheese.
Avatar n tn After drinking alcohol the eye rash becomes much worse and causes me great pain. I have had an allergy test and are only allergic to milk and nuts. However I have discarded these foods from my diet and still have the same problem. I just wondered if the blood circulation or blood vessels around my eyes could have an effect on my eyes.
Avatar f tn s an annoying problem, but not bad in the scheme of things. You could try stopping dairy and using some other type of milk such as coconut or flax milk or soy, etc.
Avatar m tn I have had a milk “allergy” since I was a child. Doctors told me that I was not lactose intolerant; I was allergic to milk. In fact, before I was diagnosed with the allergy, I would get so sick that I would wind up in the hospital, completely emaciated from not keeping any food down. And of course, my parents and my doctors were feeding me dairy to build my system back up, wondering why I could not get well.
Avatar n tn I am allergic to soy and also struggle with what to eat in restaurants and what recipes to use. I searched "soy allergy" on line to learn the many different names for soy in food, make up, shampoo/conditioner and household products. (I printed the names on "word" and don't have the websites saved) I now read the labels before I buy anything I put on or in my body. I also carry an epi pen after learning from my dr. that I was in danger of anaphalyxis.
906115 tn?1344200509 I'm not lactose intolerant but I have a true milk allergy which is very rare in adults. I was diagnosed as a child but when I went to the allergist recently they said no way I would have grown out of it but when they tested me sure enough like I said I was still allergic.

Avatar f tn Just to expand a little on what Vance said in your other thread, other reasons that breast milk is a risk to infants and not adults besides volume is that infant's GI tracts and immune systems are less developed than adult's. No adult has ever been infected that way. It is not a realistic concern and you should just let this go.
Avatar n tn Hi and welcome to the forum. The fact that your daughter is only 3 months, makes it a rather delicate and challenging matter. I would not attempt anything that would even remotely suggest a possible side-effect. Holistic allergy elimination for babies, would be the only approach that I would recommend at this point. It is 100% non-invasive, safe, efficient and simple. You need to search for a Doctor or Practitioner in your area that is trained in N.A.E.T. (Dr.
