Common Questions and Answers about Milk allergy beef

milk

Avatar f tn my sister recently tested positive as allergic to beef. I did some research- apparently it's not unheard of, and many people with milk allergies are also allergic to beef.
Avatar n tn The further problem with all this is, when the cattle are slaughtered most of them contain remnants of the antibiotics in the beef produced from them, so you may not know this, but when you are eating beef in most cases you are unintentionally eating some kind of antibiotic the cow was fed in the days before it was slaughtered. The fact that your gut is blowing up almost like clockwork after eating beef is your clue as to what is going on here.
332074 tn?1229560525 I had allergy testing a couple of weeks ago and the test determined I am allergic to beef, cows milk, and nuts. Since I have taken these items out of my diet I have had a major drop in my weight. My question is, is this normal, and will my weight level out after awhile?
Avatar n tn He also has a swollen esophagus with eosiniphiles present, so they suspect a food allergy - but none came out on allergy testing. We did antibiotics and now probiotics, although he hasn't had a repeat hydrogen test, so who knows if his bacterial situation is more to rights, now. What concerns me is that his stomach issues don't follow the typical lactose-intolerance -- he is prone to gas and constipation (chronic), but not diarrhea when he has had milk.
268911 tn?1213744781 I'm new to this forum and hoping someone can help. Up unitl last November life was good. Ate what I wanted to when I wanted to. Then all of a sudden...WHAM! Out of nowhere...I was not able to drink milk, eat cheese, eat bread and now I think I'm allergic to nuts. Do food allergies really happen this quickly? My body constantly aches, my feet and hands constantly tingle and my eyes are constantly blood shot just like in college.
Avatar f tn Try eating organic beef. They sell it at the Whole Foods Market. You might be allergic to the antibotics or the hormones that are in regular beef. Or, better yet, while at the Whole Foods Market, buy Bison. We eat it instead of beef. It tastes exactly the same and is better for you. Ask them about preparing it. It cooks in a little less time than beef.
Avatar f tn I eat only organic fruits and veggies, grass-fed beef, wild-caught salmon, almond milk and flour, coconut milk and flour, and flaxseed meal. I was so sick before doing this that I thought I was going to die and ordered my gravestone. Now, I'm doing much better. I think I will live now. My cholesterol has dropped by 100 pts. My triglycerides went from 260 to 130. I'm off my BP meds, and I'm not having to go to the ER for food allergies. I'm on a modified Paleo diet.
209987 tn?1451935465 t have to strictly stick to one item per week (plus water) to determine if you are allergic to it - as you said, that would be very difficult, very frustrating, and very unhealthy. What they did with me when they were testing me for the milk allergy, was they took me off of all of the most common food allergies (milk/dairy, eggs, wheat, peanuts, strawberries, shellfish) for about two weeks.
976511 tn?1248273141 It has been found cured, pickled, smoked meats, preserved with nitrites trigger migraines in some patients. Migraines have also been linked to food allergies, so it is likely that you have a beef allergy which is acting as a trigger in your case. Hope this helps!
1900997 tn?1321659956 a couple of hours later, I get ferocious stomach pain and flatulence that smells of milk, quite often also diarrhoea. So I switched to lactose-free milk, but this has not brought about any improvement whatsoever. Skimmed milk is just as bad as full fat, so it can't be the fat content either.
Avatar m tn The baby may show reaction towards breast milk also if the mother is taking dairy products in her diet.Diagnosis of milk allergy can be confirmed after skin ***** or patch tests and food challenge tests.Confirmation can be done with blood tests like RAST.It also helps in differentiating milk allergy from lactose intolerance. You need to consult an allergy specialist for that. Treatment involoves elimination of all dairy products from the diet.
Avatar f tn I was told by my accupuncture person they thought I had gluten sensitivity which is causes my symtoms of weird feelings in head crawly sensations and pressure and anxiety depression yellow stools and soft stools. Can an allergist check for gluten allergy? she told me the best way is a stool sample not a blood test unless your full blown celiac? Before I turn my life upside down with going gluten free, which is very hard since everything has wheat barley and rye in it and so many preservatives.
Avatar f tn I've always been allergic (not lactose intolerance) to milk since I was born. Now at 5 weeks all I want to eat is milk and things made from milk. Does this mean my baby isn't allergic to milk? Or my allergy for milk going away since I'm pregnant? Or just being pregnant cravings? I don't want to drink milk thinking I'm not allergic and get sick. Help please?
557907 tn?1215882569 ve been drinking Soy milk, and have been making more of an effort to avoid beef (to consume less calories). Instead of beef, I've been eating soy based "meat". However, I am gaining more weight than ever, and my own doctor had not heard that soy should be avoided.
Avatar f tn I would tell your doctor and your pharmacist of your allergy so they can possibly give you medication that is not in beef gelatin capsules. You could even call the companies that make your supplements and ask if they have alternative types of capsules.
Avatar n tn Well, it's not me anybody is talking to, but in Chinese medicine milk just isn't used much at all. Dairy isn't considered food for adult mammals in any form of natural medicine, particularly cow's milk. It presents so many intolerance and allergy problems that can create anxiety and other problems, so generally when you see any practitioner of natural medicine they will advise against dairy and wheat just as a first step.
Avatar f tn I know your supposed to slowly introduce a new dog food, but what if you just want to give chicken one day, and beef the next day, all of the same brand.
Avatar f tn I had a roast beef sandwich with hot cheetos and a glass of milk :D
Avatar f tn So what's for dinner ladies? I'm making beef stroganoff with green beans and homemade bread. It sounds really good right now.
Avatar n tn If she were a human I would think that she has hay-fever or some other allergy. But I am unable to identify what it could possibly be. As I said this does happen occasionally and each time terrifies me - as in the past she had the calicivirus - for which she was hospitalized over 10 days and was in critical condition. As a result she is on a daily regime of L-Lysine to keep the calicivirus under control.
Avatar m tn She would cough casts and swell in her neck when she ate beef, pork or milk. She had symptoms when she inhaled animal dander. The allergy is to a sugar-protein called alpha-gal. There is a test available through Virocor-IBT. If you have any questions, call my office.
Avatar n tn Dogs cannot get chicken pox so whatever is affecting your dog didn't come from you having chicken pox. Have you recently changed your dog's brand of food? It's possible that it could be a food allergy (or another type of allergy) but if everything has remained the same in the dog's routine and she has developed this rash, then my guess is that it could be a staph infection.
