Avatar m tn Dude, it means you have to give up drinking alcohol. If you want to feel more or less normal and treat yourself sometimes , so you can try medical cannabis. It's better than most of prescribed drugs cause there are fewer tangible side effects. Here's link, read about it http://www.ncm.
Avatar n tn Dizziness, lightheadedness, drowsiness, tiredness, constipation, diarrhea, stomach upset/gas, nausea, trouble sleeping or unusual dreams may occur as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.
Avatar f tn Has anybody gotten a stuffy head and "funny feeling" eyes as a side effect from SSRI's. I have had these side effects before but they went away after a month or so. I'm on Celexa and this stuffy feeling(like you are coming down with a cold) seems to be sticking with me. The med is working well except for this uncomfortable feeling in and around my eyes.
Avatar f tn yes, it is Trileptal. Side effects I have had recently are neutremia, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, headache....seeing my psych doc next week. I am very disappointed that she did not catch this. I will slowly reducing my dose (I'm at 1800 mg now) in order to go off this drug, AND, I will never go back to this psych doc again.
Avatar n tn The reason for the change was because of severe side effects. Dizziness, tremors, jaw pain, loud ringing in ears, nausea were the main issues. Now being off the med for 13 days, and have been off of work since Feb. 3rd, I continue to have problems. I cannot drive or even ride in a vehicle without getting severe dizziness. This also happens when watching TV when fast movements cross the screen.
404682 tn?1324579818 You should work with your doctor to find a drug that works for you. The one with the fewest side effects would be an ARB that works by keeping your arteries pliable so they can help absorb each heart beat and lower your BP and the stress on your heart. The bad part about ARBs is that they are expensive and not covered by all insurance plans without first trying all other possibilities.
Avatar f tn Is there something that I can do to combat the yucky side effects? Also, what about surgery? I do have a Dr. at Mayo that suggests a consult with the Neurosurgeon. I'd appreciate any feedback or ideas... Thanks much!
1464004 tn?1384135733 Has anyone had experience with side effects from metoprolol after using awhile? I've been on a minimal dose (25 mgs bid) for over 6 months now. I didn't seem to have any side effects to speak of until recently. I do also have positional vertigo. Not only has this gotten worse as of late but I have become unsteady on my feet and dizzy quite often. I had to get a ct scan for tumor in my neck and it was just horrible!

Avatar n tn I am concerned about my heart rate going to low and the huge list of side effects I read about them. The palpitations drive me nuts and scare me to no end. They can tell me I'm fine, and it's hard to take I'll just learn to "live with these". Also, they explained that dehydration and hormonal changes can make PVCs more often/stronger. Is this true? Any related information that can help me make an informed decision with my doctor would be very helpful. Thanks!
Avatar f tn The drug info says these can be side effects and i am wondering if these are a forever side effect or just my body getting adjusted. The doc said it take 6 days to be therapeutic so why would i be getting the side effects now?
Avatar f tn If you are not eating enough, this could exacerbate dizziness and lightheadedness. Unfortunately, side effects to medications can appear at any time during the therapy. I would discuss these side effects with your doctor and if you decide that you cannot tolerate these effects, you may need to change your medication.
Avatar f tn I am on my 2nd week of Topamax. Get ready for some very strange side effects. Your hands and feet and face will tingle and fall asleep. I have no appetite at all. I can go from breakfast to dinner of the next day and not be hungry at all. I have to force myself to eat. I'm forgetting things. I went to Wal Mart and forgot what i went there for. I am on it for migranes so im hoping i can stick it out because my headaches are unbearable. Good luck!
Avatar n tn I too am on 175 - 200mg of Zoloft and I admit when first starting the medication I was feeling quite dizzy and nauseated. Dosage started at 50mg, then after a week increased, and every week increased until I reached 175mg. In the past my doctor has had me on Celexa and Effexor but Zoloft seems to work the best, for me that is. Everyone is different. I waver between 175 - 200mg depending on the kind of day I'm having.
