Common Questions and Answers about Micardis on target trial

micardis

Avatar f tn I have been taking Atenolol 25 mg twice daily and Micardis 20 mg once daily. It's my fertile time. We had a mishap with a condom last night and I am concerned that I could become pregnant. Is the medication a concern, or should I contact my doctor?
Avatar f tn Well, this is rather anti-climatic. I started SOC for genotype 2 a year ago on a Gilead trial which uses Quintiles Laboritories. At WK 8 on tx VL was reported as <25. At WK 12 on tx VL was reported as "target not detected" and remained so for the following 12 weeks on treatment AND then for 20 weeks after treatment. But Lo and Behold, my last test (post wk 24) comes back like WK 8: <25!!

There were no significant adverse events associated with the treatment. We intend to continue to monitor volunteers in order to complete the safety assessment for this study." commented Dr.
649926 tn?1297657780 Most MS treatments target the T cells but this medicine targets the B cells. It is gone from a phase II clinical trial to a phase III study with a lot of promise. I am currently on it because I am able to receive it as an RA patient. I was on Copaxone without success. 6 months after my 1st treatment ( which is 2 infusions 2 weeks apart every 6 months) with the Rituxan my MRI's show improvement. The study showed a 91% difference in the control group.
Avatar f tn It was the TGab that was positive back then, a level of 233 with anything over 40 being positive. I appreciate your help. The doc mentioned Nature-Thyroid or Tirosint when I was there, and I'm hopeful she won't have any issues with a trial. I'll look into secondary hypo. Someone also mentioned a TSH blocking antibody too. I hate my body being such a mystery! My labs are always borderline so no one can really get a good feel of what the heck is wrong!
7558356 tn?1410715309 I love target though i recently realized the difference in price on their food . (My target is also a supermarket now ) its nuch cheaper than publix and even a little cheaper than walmart and they have great sales . I plan to shop there for most of my food now :) lol . With 30$ i got like 5 bags worth of food and some baby clothes where as at publix i would have gotten 2 and walmart 3 and no baby clothes .
Avatar f tn just want to second that opinion walmart and target are the top two places with good deals on diapers.

Avatar f tn I thought you could only get them online and was bummes because I didnt want to pay the membership fee after the trial . So excited when I did my registry on target and saw them!!! I think better price too. 25.00$ for 56 diapers I think. And again, no membership fees!
Avatar m tn I'm asking because I red that it normalises transmitases, so not sure if it's the action we always want on peginf if we target to decrease/remove HBsAg ?
Avatar m tn I am currently on MiCardis and Atenolol. Have responded well to them for over two years. Last few days have experienced increased BP according to my monitor but I'll check three times in a row and the readings will differ significantly (Ex: yesterday, 151/110 then 146/109 and finally 137/93) This has been happening the past four days. So my questions are: Should I seek to change medications? Change dosages? Or could there be other causes that are temporary that might 'go away'?
Avatar m tn Hi, I was diagnosed with primary hypertension a year ago and since then have been on Lisinopril hctz and have recently changed to Micardis 20 mg. Now my BP is not normally high on a daily basis but it raises after drinking alcohol. Now my question is if my BP is high the next day after alcohol even with my meds does that mean my med is not working and I should change or is it normal for alcohol to raise BP and meds not to come into effect?
Avatar m tn is it a do-over or are they added as you go, and if so when and for how long? The good news is that PSI-7977 and BMS 790052 are two of the strongest DAAs out there. On the other hand if you look at the result from the vertex and bms two-DAA trials I'm fairly sure you'll find they had to back away from no ifn - even for quad a small ifn effect seems important. This is consistent with predictions from Rong and Perelson (free access): http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.
Avatar f tn You all may have seen this already. A Phase IIB clinical trial reported a Hep C vaccine with good results in its initial safety study. The vaccine induces T cells that target the Hep C virus. http://stm.sciencemag.
Avatar m tn Has anybody been on this clinical trial or currently on it for these drugs? How was it for you? What is it like being on a clinical trial vs normal treatment without being on a trial?
Avatar m tn Depends on the trial arm i will be randomly chosen to be in at wk 4...there are 3 different arms ...
Avatar n tn I got their sample pack thing online. You only pay for shipping and they send you trial sized products and 7 diapers and a few wipes (you do have to call to cancel the membership though). I'll give them a try when the baby comes, but they feel kind of thin to me.

Avatar n tn You will need to get a blood sugar meter and start to monitor your blood sugar 2 hours after eating, and fasting. You target post eating is < 120. Portion control, particularly for carbs will be very important to help manage your blood sugar. using your meter you will be able to work out which foods are ok and in what quantity. ie. if you are on target after eating then you know what you ate is ok. IF it is not, ie.
Avatar f tn then by trial and error you find what and how much you can eat while still staying on target.
Avatar n tn The part of this drug that usually has this effect is the effect on serotonin, but most antidepressants also target serotonin in one way or another.
Avatar m tn I was released after 28 days in the hospital for a cardiac cath site infection this was on the 12th of Sep. since my release I have had a rapid pulse between 105 and 125, swelling in my lower legs, and pain both in the calf and front which is aggravated by walking or climbing stairs. Sitting there is no pain at all. What is causing this? I take several BP medicines as well as cholesterol meds. Micardis, plavix, a diuretic amlodipine.

Avatar n tn A very large number of patients in the FDA crystalens trial were excluded from the study because the refractive result was not within 0.5 diopters of the intended target (read the fine print on the glowing results printed on advertising materials - always worded for patients within 0.5 diopter of intended target.) You are no longer near the intended target most likely because the lens which can move, did move.
Avatar f tn Is this a trial to monitor how he handles stopping medication for a few months? I know there was research on this. Or is it a cure trial and in order for him to qualify, they need his levels to rise? I don't think there is any cure trial that does this but I could be wrong. Usually all they care about is whether you have been diagnosed as Hepatitis B positive within the past 6 months... but I could be wrong here as well.
