Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with tachycardia 5 years ago but here recently I have been having chest pain when sitting and paps that last longer. One episode with paps was so bad that I had to struggle to catch my breath. Is this just part of it?

Avatar f tn It should not be used during pregnancy unless your doctor tells you to do so. Micardis is pregnancy category C (during first trimester) and D (during 2nd and 3rd trimester) and it enters breast milk. It should not be used during pregnancy unless your doctor tells you to do so. I recommend you talk to your doctor about your situation before making any changes.
Avatar m tn since my release I have had a rapid pulse between 105 and 125, swelling in my lower legs, and pain both in the calf and front which is aggravated by walking or climbing stairs. Sitting there is no pain at all. What is causing this? I take several BP medicines as well as cholesterol meds. Micardis, plavix, a diuretic amlodipine.
Avatar m tn Hi, i wanna ask a question related to heart disease. My father (54 yo) has been diagnosed before with heart enlargement in around 2015. His blood pressure, cholesterol level and uric acid level were quite high at that time ( i don't know exactly how high was it). Then he came to see the doctor and the doctor gave him medications (one of it called 'micardis'). After since, my father blood pressure and cholesterol level turned normal but the uric acid is still a bit higher than normal.
Avatar m tn It can lower your blood pressure and may increase some of the side effects of Micardis. Do not use potassium supplements or salt substitutes while you are taking Micardis, unless your doctor has told you to. You are very young and have the rest of your life to enjoy a drink with friends. Getting drunk is not good for your heart or indeed for the rest of your body. This is an important decision you need to make right now. Look after your body for now or suffer more serious consequences.
Avatar n tn After a while the noises and joint pain may go away, but the joint continues to undergo damage. It just becomes quiet and the pain gets transmitted to the other parts of the head. The patient who experiences once a month headaches, along with a poppin joint, eventually becomes the twice a week headache patient with no joint noises. Vision: The trigeminal nerve is responding to a muscle and jaw joint compression by irritation of its maxillary/opthalmic division.
Avatar m tn I am currently on MiCardis and Atenolol. Have responded well to them for over two years. Last few days have experienced increased BP according to my monitor but I'll check three times in a row and the readings will differ significantly (Ex: yesterday, 151/110 then 146/109 and finally 137/93) This has been happening the past four days. So my questions are: Should I seek to change medications? Change dosages? Or could there be other causes that are temporary that might 'go away'?
1351623 tn?1285916492 Can anyone please help me about this cause everytime I go to the doctor, all my blood tests are normal... I have been taking Micardis 40mg and Lercanidipine 10 mg for my hypertension since December 2008..Also I am working as a Draftsman...Thank you..
507935 tn?1217359454 When I came off it, my joint pain returned and my rheumy said that was normal and was 'probably' a side effect from the withdrawl. He said it should go away a few weeks after being totally off the pred. I hope this is true for you.
Avatar m tn Hi, I was diagnosed with primary hypertension a year ago and since then have been on Lisinopril hctz and have recently changed to Micardis 20 mg. Now my BP is not normally high on a daily basis but it raises after drinking alcohol. Now my question is if my BP is high the next day after alcohol even with my meds does that mean my med is not working and I should change or is it normal for alcohol to raise BP and meds not to come into effect?
Avatar f tn My throat closed. I got steroids and the hives got better. Then the joint pain kicked in. My hands and right shoulder were so painful I couldn't use/move them. The symptoms would go away and return (the joint pain not hives). My shoulder hasn't bothered me lately but my hands and fingers still hurt. Did this happen to anyone and can you offer any advice? Thanks.
Avatar f tn I have joint pain in my knees and elbows, weakness in knees after kneeling down and trying to stand up. I have numbness that comes and goes in my feet. My chemo/raidiation treatments ended a year ago. Are these aches and pains caused by the after effects of the drugs and radiation? I also have trouble taking antibiotics or pain meds. I seems to get every side effect listed. Alcohol of any type bothers me also. I use to enjoy a glass of wine but no longer.

Avatar n tn Recently he started having a lot of joint pain. Now his ankles and feet are swelling. His sugar levels are doing great. We have been to the doctor and he has had several test done. Everything is coming back good. Has anyone had these same symptoms? He is taking Metformin and I am wondering if this has anything to do with this.

Avatar f tn I have been researching joint pain for patients after chemotherapy and radiation. I was in stage 1 when I found my lump. I had surgery first, then chemotherapy, and finally radiation. I went thru all of the treatments with no real problems. However, 2 weeks left of my radiation I started having severe joint pains in my knees. I thought perhaps it was over exertion. I rested for 2 weeks...then started having the pain in my hips, ankles and especially my hands.
Avatar f tn i get that in my whole arms and legs, its like a constant throbing pain and it never goes away unless i take pain relief. i have seen an rheumatologist and she said she could not find anything, i also have had a bone scan and nothing has come up. the rheumatologist said that my vitamin D was low and i need vitamin D injection an that might help. apart from that they dont know what is causing it.
1310435 tn?1273598077 not that this can replace medical treatment for pain and arthritis, but glucosamine is great for helping with joint pain - it helps lubricate the joints and build new cartlidge. My mother in law swears by it for her arthritis, so it might help you out. Jamieson vitamins (canadian company, but they now sell to the US at www.jamiesondirect.com) makes shellfish free glucosamine products (great if you have an allergy or are worried about contaminants). Hope you get some relief!
Avatar n tn Often they can get to the bottom of the joint pain and prescribe medications and exercise that will be of some help. It sounds like you keep active in the summer but not in the winter. If you want to maintain joint health and you job you may have to begin a good, year round exercise program. One that is kind to your joints but will build muscle mass, strength and endurance. It may be beneficial for you to see a great physical therapist or trainer.
Avatar f tn Omega 3 has been proven to both increase brain function and help depression and help joint pain. Cod liver oil will help with this as well and the Vitamin C will destroy all the Free Radicals in your blood stream which would kill off the Omega 3 and Cod liver oils and stop them working. Some people recommend a dose of between 1000mg of EPA with 500mg of DHA in Omega 3 and a dose of 1000mg of Cod liver oil. Vitamin C between 500mg and 1000mg.
Avatar f tn Menopause or menopause like condition caused by PCOD is often associated with Vit D and calcium disturbances and hormonal disturbances causing multiple joint pain. Please talk to your doctor regarding these and get yourself examined accordingly. Take care!
