Common Questions and Answers about Micardis and back pain

micardis

Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with tachycardia 5 years ago but here recently I have been having chest pain when sitting and paps that last longer. One episode with paps was so bad that I had to struggle to catch my breath. Is this just part of it?
Avatar f tn It should not be used during pregnancy unless your doctor tells you to do so. Micardis is pregnancy category C (during first trimester) and D (during 2nd and 3rd trimester) and it enters breast milk. It should not be used during pregnancy unless your doctor tells you to do so. I recommend you talk to your doctor about your situation before making any changes.
Avatar m tn since my release I have had a rapid pulse between 105 and 125, swelling in my lower legs, and pain both in the calf and front which is aggravated by walking or climbing stairs. Sitting there is no pain at all. What is causing this? I take several BP medicines as well as cholesterol meds. Micardis, plavix, a diuretic amlodipine.
Avatar m tn Hi, i wanna ask a question related to heart disease. My father (54 yo) has been diagnosed before with heart enlargement in around 2015. His blood pressure, cholesterol level and uric acid level were quite high at that time ( i don't know exactly how high was it). Then he came to see the doctor and the doctor gave him medications (one of it called 'micardis'). After since, my father blood pressure and cholesterol level turned normal but the uric acid is still a bit higher than normal.
1351623 tn?1285916492 Can anyone please help me about this cause everytime I go to the doctor, all my blood tests are normal... I have been taking Micardis 40mg and Lercanidipine 10 mg for my hypertension since December 2008..Also I am working as a Draftsman...Thank you..
Avatar m tn It can lower your blood pressure and may increase some of the side effects of Micardis. Do not use potassium supplements or salt substitutes while you are taking Micardis, unless your doctor has told you to. You are very young and have the rest of your life to enjoy a drink with friends. Getting drunk is not good for your heart or indeed for the rest of your body. This is an important decision you need to make right now. Look after your body for now or suffer more serious consequences.
548642 tn?1266179652 I may be looking to treat soon and I just started back on Micardis. I have boderline high BP so I could stop if it is not recommended. Do you have a link I could refer to about the meds you posted about?
Avatar n tn d feel one from time to time but not many. Then, my doctor tried to add a diueretic along with my Micardis and the PVS came back to be noticable again. I've done the 3 week holter monitor test and I was diagnosed with harmless PVCs last summer. I have been asked if I'd like to try a beta blocker and I'm unsure. I am concerned about my heart rate going to low and the huge list of side effects I read about them. The palpitations drive me nuts and scare me to no end.
Avatar f tn From other research on the net, I think what im reading is tellin me my heart is in the first stages of failing and the left side of my heart is enlarged , with these problem, my heart is not keeping up with the other side causeing pulmonary edema, that explaining my cough and shortness of breath and chest pain ,Im not a Dr.
Avatar f tn I am 82 and as I live alone and manage all my affairs and exercise regularly and have no problems other than high blood pressure.I was prescribed twynsta for my pressure and I take one tablet at night .My pressure in the morning is around 135/80 but around 12 noon it went down to 100/51 this has happened a few times and I feel slightly dizzy at these times and also sleepy .once i have had a nap I am back to the previous reading.
Avatar m tn I am currently on MiCardis and Atenolol. Have responded well to them for over two years. Last few days have experienced increased BP according to my monitor but I'll check three times in a row and the readings will differ significantly (Ex: yesterday, 151/110 then 146/109 and finally 137/93) This has been happening the past four days. So my questions are: Should I seek to change medications? Change dosages? Or could there be other causes that are temporary that might 'go away'?
Avatar m tn Hi, I was diagnosed with primary hypertension a year ago and since then have been on Lisinopril hctz and have recently changed to Micardis 20 mg. Now my BP is not normally high on a daily basis but it raises after drinking alcohol. Now my question is if my BP is high the next day after alcohol even with my meds does that mean my med is not working and I should change or is it normal for alcohol to raise BP and meds not to come into effect?
1260907 tn?1269748318 I have gained a lot of body fat, I am currently on Micardis HCT for BP, Lortab for back pain post surgery, Lexapro, and of course the ambien to help me get to sleep. Dont get me wrong I couldnt stay up at night but I worked 3rd shift for 3 years till 10 months ago so night time is hard for me to fall asleep, when I do sleep it is not good sleep so I assume that is why I wanna sleep all the time. Just in general what is the chances of me having an underactive thyroid?
Avatar f tn 30 and was 174/97. I called my electrophysiologist. The dr on call for him told me to take the other 180 mg at that time and go back.to the 360 mg tomorrow like I used to take. What would cause my bp to jump like that? Did it take my body that long to recognize my dose had been halved?
1204020 tn?1493698890 Then the other day i had a ciggie came indoors and well took my Bp thinking i feel odd, was 180/120, almost freaked. Went and took 1/2 of a micardis and tried to relax.... today i took another 1/2 felt somewhat better.. been trying to get it down to 130/80 etc... almost got there 140/85, 10mg Micardis..
Avatar f tn moringa (malunggay), serpetina, tumeric, guaybano. He is also taking losartan, selerimin, allupurinol, junuvia, micardis, and diamicron. Looking for a fast response to this I want to know what could be causing a huge shoot in his triglycerides and what can be done. Really scared my dad may have CHD.
Avatar f tn Recently due to some episodic spikes in my blood pressure I have been put on atenolol and my doctor would like me to add Micardis (thiazide diuretic and ARB) to this blocker. Now this is I guess common practice but this is exactly what the Professor in charge of the study has asked doctors not to do. Would you know anything about this? Thanks.
Avatar f tn I could not have had high blood pressure when I was a child so Im putting it down to maybe an ingredients in this medication.I had to get a new script and was given the generic brand if micardis and I had a few miagraine symptoms again.Switched back to the marcardis brand ,and back to being headache free.It has mad a big difference to my life having headaches and being unable to do what you want to do because of this horrible problem.Dont know if this will help anybody else but itd help me.
Avatar f tn No, no, no. You don't do these meds with a nurse practitioner, for goodness sake. You only do this with an experienced psychiatrist you trust. That's a lot of medication and potential interactions, and these meds are hard to start and hard to quit. And most importantly, if you're doing great, why do you want another drug? None of them completely rid one of the problem.
Avatar f tn She is already taking 2 blood pressure medications to control blood pressure, micardis and nifedipine xl. Do you think her increased bp is due to her coming off of plavix? She does have a pace maker and stints.
Avatar m tn (I felt the pain of this in my right shoulder!). The following day I was discharged and for a couple of days felt well. Since then I have felt tired and depressed, my heart is fine and so is the pacemaker, but I have a tightness in my chest and various strange pains at random times. My cardiologist does not seem concerned. Through the course of the day I take Pantoprazole 20mg, Cordarone 200mg (Mon to Fri) Micardis plus 80712.5 mg, Congescor 2.5mg, Norvasc 10mg, and Crestor.
Avatar f tn Hi! Thanks for your thoughts on the matter. We went back to the neurologist last Friday to discuss the MRI and MRA results. The MRI of my husband's cervical spine showed that some discs in his neck were pushing against his spinal cord. According to the doctor, this was what was causing the pain in the neck and the headaches. This could be corrected with physical therapy.
Avatar m tn I went to my doctor who suspected that it was nothing, but nevertheless advised that I go for an ECG and blood tests. I had my ECG today and the nurse noticed that I had an 'intermittent irregular heartbeat'. I won't be getting my results back for a week so I am somewhat concerned. My questions are - Could there be a link between the ache in my left arm and my 'intermittent irregular heartbeat'? - How worried should I be?
Avatar f tn I was given Carvedilol, Micardis, and Spironocatone what my cardiologist is attempting to do is to slow my heart rate down but meds for slowing down my heart rate also lowers my already low normal blood pressure and then dizziness occurs. My PCP, my OB/GYN and my Opthalmologist are all alarmed but my cardiologist is not, so I guess I have to look for another cardiologist. Thanks for you help.
Avatar m tn Finally diagnosied with severe sleep apnea. Was put on bi-pap therapy and things were GREAT, for a year. Now headahces are back with a vengeance. he is no longer able to work, is taking many many drugs. CAT scan, MRI, lumbar puncture negative. Has been admitted and treated with prednisone for a week with no change. has seen two neurologists who basically say they have nothing to offer. Stress test negative, carotid doppler negative.
