A few months back (March) I had intercourse with a "friend" and during the latter part of the month, I was experiencing some pain in my Vagina. It was itchy, sore and most horrible of all.. I had this awful green/yellow discharge. I had to change my underwear lots of times.
When I found out that I had trich, I bought Metronidazole and took 2grams (1 dosage) of it. Metronidazole made me feel really sick! Anyway, after a week I realized that I still had trich.
I have white discharge from my vagina and white discharge underneath my clitoral hood. And my vagina has a pungent odour. My clitoris feels like it is tingling or throbbing all the time. I started taking metronidazole and a probiotic supplement called enterogermina. After the first dose of both metronidazole and enterogermina I started having urgency to pee. I feel like I have to pee frequently. My urine does not have a strong odour and it is not cloudy and has a normal light straw colour.
at first i didnt bother it but after my medication in soar throat and allergy(urcatitaria), my vagina started to became itchy and again, everyday i started having green discharged for `1 week. i went to a gynecologist and she prescribed me a metronidazole miconazole vaginal suppository and ive used that for `1 week.. now what my problem is, my white discharge had stop.. i am also currently taking up medice for my UTI and had experiexed sex but that was like long time ago...

Vaginal discharge is a side effect of metronidazole gel which is present in 12% of the patients. If the discharge persists or there is any vulvar irritation or itching then you should get it evaluated from your gynecologist.

Also while taking the Metrodinazole, i have experienced some really bad side effects. Its extended release tablets and on the second dose I noticed that my throat, tounge, roof of mouth felt raw and swollen. I could barely swallow the pill. I also am having horrible flushing/hotness of the face and chest, headache, my insides of my body feel like they are on fire and trembling. Im having heartburn and mild chest pain. I keep dropping things when I am holding them and my lips sometimes twitch.
Your partner should also take the same treatment at the same time, or he can pass BV back to you.
Perhaps ask for swobs before you start taking it, iv been back doctors today and they say don't take it
Its for genital infections. A doctor prescribe it to me because i was having heavy discharge. Am hesitant to take it bacause he did not check what am really having.
s much less stressful on your system with fewer systemic side effects to use it that way. Taking it orally is much stronger, but has a lot of side effects, and this way it goes directly where your problem is. Make sure you use it as long as recommended, and don't be surprised if it comes back, as this treatment often doesn't get all the eggs. Good luck with it.

Also, there was an tingly-itching, and slightly burning sensation in my urethra, closer to the end of the shaft of the penis, right where it connects with the head. There was no other symptoms present: no swelling or pain in the testes, no redness of the tip of the penis, etc.
Unusual discharge can be a side effect of Metronidazole. I've found a lot of women describing this discharge as being brown and kind of clotted. I've experienced this myself and at first I thought I was getting my period as well but no... it seems to be a side-effect of the Metronidazole.
