Common Questions and Answers about Metronidazole not refrigerated

I can sure say I am not in favor of metronidazole treatment especially not as a permanent treatment...there are many side effects http://www.petplace.com/cats/metronidazole-flagyl-toxicity-in-cats/page1.aspx have you tried Slippery Elm Bark? this is a wonderful supplement for GI upsets it soothes the GI tract and reduces inflamation...and none of the serious side effects of the Metr. drug. also how about ginger and digestive enzymes???? these are all good for gastritis issues.
I don't get nauseous from the drugs, so that's not a problem. I take both Florastor (a 'good' yeast) and refrigerated acidophilus, so that's covered. I am careful to take the acidophilus at least 1 hour before taking the meds, to avoid interference between the acidophilus and the meds. It's not just stomach upset; I was getting an inflamed colon after so long on the drugs. Not nice.
Most dogs with a loose stools end up being treated repeatedly with Flagyll or metronidazole, but is only temporary, it just does not work and the dog should not be left on an antibiotic for a long period of time, this is not the best choice for the dog as it destroys the beneficial bacteria of the gut and compromises the immune system. long term antibiotic use also leads to systemic (whole system) yeast/fungal problems. It is a very frustrating problem for both vets and owners.
if so, please tell how long the treatment lasted and how much better you feel. IF you have not seen any positive results or feel even worse please state that. I have been sick for 3.5 years, then was on doxy for 4 months and felt good for a month and a half, then symptoms sarted again, feel horrible at the moment and restarted doxy 4 days ago. Im also taking cat's claw, will keep you guys posted.

I drove to the hospital and the ER was empty. Not a person in sight! Wow! I told the nurse that I was in extreme abdominal discomfort, nauseous and pain radiating toward my back from my stomach region. Well, somehow that triggered the "high risk heart alert" which got me checked in in record time, and EKG, blood work, and who knows what else.
ii had a similar thing last year and i went to the dr and they told me i had bacterial vagintis. its an infection that can have and ordor or not, especially after sex. and discharge, like yours. gave me antibiotics and cure that sucker right up.
steroid ointment not only would not help, but, by thinning the skin if used for prolonged periods, could make it worse. If you haven't seen a gynecologist, you ought to.
A few valuable tips from Young's book include drinking distilled water and avoiding pasturized milk and purchasing fruits and vegetables (organic) fresh and using them only on the day of purchase. According to Young, keeping fruits refrigerated for several days and not using them on the day of purchase further causes this mycotoxic breakdown.
She said just to let it ride it's course. Now it's been three and ahalf weeks and it's better but not all healed. Does anyone have any ideas about treating this or preventing this? Every article on the internet has to do with Strep B in prenatal women (when it is very dangerous for the baby) and nothing about Strep B for regular women in their 40's like me :) Thanks, I'd love to hear from anyone who has ever been treated for this disease or any doctors out there.

He said it does not appear to be pain because she is not in pain the rest of the time or when he moves or touches her anywhere. They did ultrasounds etc. and could not see anything. His best guess, was that she is starting to go senile. The only way to test for this he said was to give her medication which takes months to work. I have started to give her fish oil with her dinner (which I picked up at my local health food store, they had one for dogs).
Also, there is no discharge, and I've had yeast infections before so I know its not that. I am on birth control, ortho tricyclin. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do about this! Otherwise I have my yearly appt in 3 months....
prescribed an estrogen cream which did not seem to work. I have not been on any other medication for this. I am looking for some guidance as to what this condition may be and how to treat it. My husband & I want to get pregnant soon but I would like to resolve this issue first. Please help.
Well, I'm here again because my symptoms still persist, and I really need an answer as to what's going on with me. For those who are not familiar with my story, here it is: In early March, I received oral sex from a stranger (I also had intercourse with her, but it was protected by a condom; no breakages, slip of condom, etc). About 3 weeks after this incident, I started to get a fungal infection in my groin/anal area, which would itch from time to time, along with oral thrush.
I can not funtion my normal like and every time it goes away I hope it's for good, but then it comes back and I can not figure out why. I am not drinking any alcohol either. Please give me some advice because I am tired of missing work and time with my family. Thank you.
My doctor is unsupportive, and unhelpful-told me was due to regrowth from not getting waxed. I just want some facts to arm myself with before trying the doc (new doc) office again. Any suggestions?? All you cooch experts feel free to speculate.
And a lot of other people around the world are suffering from this condition. Doctors do not beleive the reports, and most of them claim that we are crazy but we all know that we're far from being crazy. This condition causes so much heartache and stress. I have sent emails to CDC, NIH and WHO with no help. Would you please address this issue?
When I'm out I feel like I'm shaking but my husband says I'm not. I do have constipation but not when this happens. I could have this 2 to 3 times a year or a few years could go by. Whenever, this is very scary and it drains me the rest of the day. What can be done?
