no no antibiotics i went to my gynecologist an she told me to take metronidazole/flagyl for infection an afterward the sympthoms disappeared then came back i dont have pain or an frequent urination just a sour smell an bitter taste but before i took that antibiotics it was also sour tasting now it just very bitter with a sour or bitter smell an it gets stronger after sexual intercourse

After over the past 6 months ive been having tiny outbreaks... but nun serious ..until recently when i was put on kerflex to treat my abcess .. i now have the worse herpes out break i have ever had .. i decided to purchase the same medication ..and use it but its been 3 days n it still looks horrible should i conttinue ? also i started dating a guy with herpes ..
After this happened I noticed he had many towels within his bedroom that he used to wipe his genital area due to profuse sweating and the towels had a fungus like or yeast like odor to them. I also noticed within his bedroom many containers of fungus cream for his genitals.
I have mainly noticed the burning and itching on the right side of my labia and within my vagina. The left side of my vagina and labia appear to be fine.
I visited the doctor Monday with a vaginal infection and was given Metronidazole to start taking. I went back for results Wednesday and I was confirmed to have BV. My doctor then gave me Erythromycin to take (2, twice a day)... as well as the Metronidazole (3, three times a day). This seems like an awful lot of antibiotics. Why was I given Erythromycin, when from as far as I can tell, Metronidazole alone is the recommended treatment for BV?

The doctor then did a pelvic exam and ruled out trich based on sight alone but I did test positive for BV and I was prescribed metronidazole. This cleared up the infection and I didn’t see that partner for a while. 2 weeks ago we met up again and had unprotected sex, but neither of us slept with anyone else in between. Almost immediately after, the symptoms returned and so I assumed it was BV again and went back to the dr.
Studies have shown that antibiotics (usually metronidazole or clindamycin) plus after that is done take probiotics once a week for 6 months and it may not recur. Without the probiotics there is often recurrence. You can buy probiotics with various live bacteria such as bifidobacteria, lactobacillus and so forth at about 10 billion copies. Places like Costco and so forth have them or online. Your doctor will need to examine you to be sure it is BV.
at first i didnt bother it but after my medication in soar throat and allergy(urcatitaria), my vagina started to became itchy and again, everyday i started having green discharged for `1 week. i went to a gynecologist and she prescribed me a metronidazole miconazole vaginal suppository and ive used that for `1 week.. now what my problem is, my white discharge had stop.. i am also currently taking up medice for my UTI and had experiexed sex but that was like long time ago...
Metronidazole can cause diarrhea as a side effect. But it may be also working on the infective cause of your dog's illness in the first place, so don't stop it without speaking to your vet.
Meanwhile keep your dog hydrated. If you can find an unflavoured electrolyte drink like Pedialyte that would be great. Plain water would do for a short time but Pedialyte would be better.
My heart beat is erratic most of the time anyway but when I tried taking flagyl for campylobacter, it didn't affect my heart at all. I just got extremely sick and intestinal issues worsened. They had to switch me.
For the past ten days I have been taking Metronidazole (Two 250mg oral tablets, twice daily).

My question is, would it be okay for me to consume alcohol on Saturday night?
I know my pharmacist told me to absolutely stay away from alcohol while I was taking the pills because I would vomit alot, and he said most people wait a couple of days after they've finished before they drink. Im just wondering if two days is enough time?
I had to take it last week for 5 days. Everything is great with baby. It does say that there is no harm to take it however I understand your concern. I'm 27w 5d I'm sure I would've been me hesitant at 6 weeks.

i tested negative for all stds and i was put on doxycycline and metronidazole but im having pain, irritation and itching in my urethra still and the inside of my urethra is most.
i think it might be a yeast infection. but from the outside my penis looks normal. no rash and flakey skin or anything like that.

My dog was throwing up (looked like human food- I hve no idea where he got it from) and having diarrhea. The vet gave him amforol among penicillin and steroid injection. We took x-rays and the vet said he had imflammatory bowel disease. Since then he's stopped vomitting but still having diarrhea. Now he's on metronidazole. I've read around that metro will help only temporary and that it could cause liver damage.
Has anyone had this problem and will metronidazole fix his problem?
Cephalexin (Keflex) 500mg 1 tab 4 times a day for infections; Cetirizine (Zyrtec) 10mg 1 tab a day for a month for allergic reactions; Fluconazole (Diflucan) 100mg 1 tab immediately for Fungal infection; and Prednisone (Deltasone) 20 mg 1 tab a day for 3 days; which he wants me to use only if the others don't work due to the steroid nature. He also recommended Ammonium Lactate (Amlactin) 12% lotion.
