I was given Rozex cream (metronidazole) as i have an itchy penis (head). When i asked what was the diagnosis they said a fungal infection.
Why have i been given this cream when metronidazole doesn't cure fungal infections?
Is there any indication for using this cream on the penis at all?
I thought most infections or protozoa were treated with oral metronidazole?
Treatment is by antibiotics and you can use metronidazole gel or clindamycin cream for local application on vagina. They have fewer side effects. But inform your gynecologist before talking them.

It is not unusual for individuals to have side effects when they begin using a retinol product. I have no personal experience with sinechatechins (Veregen); we don't use it in my STD clinic. The reports in the medical literature indicate it works no faster and no better (and no worse) than other genital wart treatments. It looks like hypopigmented patches as a result of side effect of the steroid cream. It is very difficult to treat but sometimes it goes away on its own after exposure to the sun. Creams like Elidel cream or Protropic can be used on these hypopigmented areas but they should be used only after consulting a dermatologist . If the symptoms still persist then you can talk to your dermatologist about laser-assisted chemabrasion(LACA).
What are some of the more common side effects of metronidazole for dogs?
m really cautious and worried about taking it because i searched and this pill has a lot of bad side effects, like making you really sick. It says that there is an alternative pill called azithromycin with less side effects. I talked to my OB about that and she said that she hasn't prescribed that to anyone who has trich. She said i can take it and come and get re tested but she thinks it wouldn't work. So she prescribed me metronidazole 1 dose of 2 grams. Sounds like a really big dose.
