Last 2 months i had a vad watery green diarrhea for 3 days. My MD prescribe ciprofloxacin and metronidazole. Please help.im having anxiety thinking of it .can i send pictures? Thankyou very much!!
Hi. This is kind of embarrassing, but my butthole has been very itchy lately. Yesterday, (I'm not sure why) I stuck my finger up there and when I pulled it out, I saw these tiny (about 1/4 of a millimeter long) moving things that looked like worms or something. I don't believe it's tapeworms because I have read that part of them, or there eggs, are found in feces and that they are atleast 1 millimeter long. Please help...
So I administered her the med for 2 days (500mg per day) and after that she started giving off stools with long white parasitic worms in it. I am now giving her milk, water, and oatmeal for fiber (via syringe without the needle) but seems she is not absorbing the food because she quickly excretes them. She is now very thin and I don't know if she will survive. Maybe the medicine is still taking a toll on her. Can anybody help me how to take care of her?
He was treated with a few different drugs such as METRONIDAZOLE and others. They cleared it up for a bit but the diarrhea came back quickly and since then, the vets I've gone to don't see any parasites in their quick look under a microscope or with the float tests. Based on their clear lack of understanding of the numerous types of parasites that can affect a cat, I don't trust their judgement.
Two weeks earlier it was continuously vomiting, and i found some worms in it. Our local doctors said it just stomach problem and they gave B Complex,Liver Extract With Vitamin B12 Injection and Betnesol injection for two days.Today it was given an anti biotic and ranitidine as it was thought to have gastric problem. Please help me soon, he is very sick..
It was the humane society, and they did all these tests, X-rays, had to give him fluid and anti nausea shot. Sent me home with metronidazole, and panacur, which was odd. They said it was gastrointestinal. I'm mad because they should have not charged me 56.00 for a follow up when this was a very healthy cat. He's eating, but only dry food. He won't touch the wet food. He was 8.7 pounds, the day I brought him back he lost a pound, and he feels lighter two days later.
I visited the doctor Monday with a vaginal infection and was given Metronidazole to start taking. I went back for results Wednesday and I was confirmed to have BV. My doctor then gave me Erythromycin to take (2, twice a day)... as well as the Metronidazole (3, three times a day). This seems like an awful lot of antibiotics. Why was I given Erythromycin, when from as far as I can tell, Metronidazole alone is the recommended treatment for BV?

Thank you for taking time to read and respond to this post. I am actually very concerned about my current health situation. I'll try to be as brief as possible. Three weeks ago (July 19, 2009 to be exact), I over indulged in a BBQ buffet consisting of pork ribs, beef brisket and beef/pork sausage. I followed with a fairly large piece of pecan pie with ice cream. I ate about 7 pork ribs, 4-5 pieces brisket and 5 small slices of sausage.
at first i didnt bother it but after my medication in soar throat and allergy(urcatitaria), my vagina started to became itchy and again, everyday i started having green discharged for `1 week. i went to a gynecologist and she prescribed me a metronidazole miconazole vaginal suppository and ive used that for `1 week.. now what my problem is, my white discharge had stop.. i am also currently taking up medice for my UTI and had experiexed sex but that was like long time ago...
Metronidazole can cause diarrhea as a side effect. But it may be also working on the infective cause of your dog's illness in the first place, so don't stop it without speaking to your vet.
Meanwhile keep your dog hydrated. If you can find an unflavoured electrolyte drink like Pedialyte that would be great. Plain water would do for a short time but Pedialyte would be better.
I was prescribed it last week for a bacterial infection. Took it 4 times and my face started to break out in a rash. Called the pharmacist and then the doctor. Both said i was having an allergic reaction to the medicine. Both said to stop taking it. I go to the doctor next week to ddiscuss other options. So just watch out for that.....
My heart beat is erratic most of the time anyway but when I tried taking flagyl for campylobacter, it didn't affect my heart at all. I just got extremely sick and intestinal issues worsened. They had to switch me.
For the past ten days I have been taking Metronidazole (Two 250mg oral tablets, twice daily).
I took my last pills lastnight around 10:30 pm.
My question is, would it be okay for me to consume alcohol on Saturday night?
I know my pharmacist told me to absolutely stay away from alcohol while I was taking the pills because I would vomit alot, and he said most people wait a couple of days after they've finished before they drink. Im just wondering if two days is enough time?
I went to the obgyn last week they ran urine samples and std tests and everything was okay, I told them I’m spotting still for two weeks now three and cramping the test came back for BV so they prescribed me Metronidazole I felt way too anxious about taking it , Friday I went in for a ultrasound and pelvic ultrasound I believe and got the results today that it was fine. They now prescribed me clindamycin gel which I will pick up tomorrow due to pharmacy out of stock.
Hi my name is jennifer I been taking antibiotics for the past 2 weeks, Omeprazole 20 mg, Metronidazole 500 mg and Clarithromycin 500 mg and also I been taking my birth control pills for the past 3 weeks (Jolivette).
I jus found out today I am pregnant. I'm concer with the health of the unborn baby. I am worry if the any possibility of births defects and any other problem related to the medications.
i was given doxycycline and more metronidazole and finished these about three weeks ago. the tests results for stds and candida all came back negative, but the sympoms are still present.
i am going back to the gum the next time i can get away from work, but no one has been able to tell me what kind of infection this is or what kind of treatment will work. i would think it was only bv but the doctor said that it was an infection of some kind.
How do I verify if I actually have worms? What type of worms might they be and how can I get rid of them. Also, as I mentioned I've had these symptoms for a while, what possible damage could these critters have caused and is there anything I should be worried about? Lastly, could they be affecting my immunity, as I've had some issues in the last year with staff infections.
I was walking my dog today and noticed in her stool, some long white worms. I could not tell if they are flat or round or not, but just long and white. I just got this dog from another person, that does not have her paperwork as far as the vet is concerned. The only paperwork she has is to register the dog.
