The reason that the other poster could have been cured by cipro is that she may have had a Mycoplasma and
it may have been sensitive to ciprofloxacin. But the stand
ard treatment for bv is either metronidazole
or Clindamycin. So you can try the cipro and
see if it clears up but if it doesn't then if can take clindamycin I would then take probiotics
after. Cipro can treat a lot of UTI's but not all. It depends on the bacteria that is causing the infection and
how resistant it is.
