I have been experincing internal burning feelings on the left side of my face that has left me with 2 small marks on my nose, the feeling is also in the left forearm and parts of my legs. Went to a dermotologist and he perscribed 2 ointments (protopic and metrogel) neither hae had any positive effect. any advice please............
When I get out of the shower or overheated, I have a pink spot on the skin just above my upper lip, touching the lip line. It's approx. 2 cm long by 1/4th cm high. There's also a tingling sensation at times.
The skin there looks slightly different but I'm 62 and have had age spots burned off in my hairline, etc. I am female, never smoked, don't drink and have never had a cold sore or tested positive for HPV. I do not sunbathe but grew up in the south.
2 months ago I was diagnosed with my first ever yeast infection. I was experiencing some discomfort and burning during sex, also after sex had small tears at the vagina opening and on the inner labia. DR tested me for all STD's, swabbed tears for herpes, results for STDs came back negative. I took 2 diflucan's and was feeling better.

1 1/2 months ago I developed a vaginal burning sensation after my period. The burning was intense and I had never had it before. I did not have any burning while urinating, it was only just a constant burning more related to my skin not internally. I also had abdominal pain and pressure which lasted after my period. After my period ended I had a watery mucus like discharge which was unusual.
I've been using metrogel for a few months now for a place on my cheek. It's finally clearing up, but my entire face was scratched up today, including the area I typically treat with metrogel. Is the metrogel safe to use on fresh scratches and sores to continue treatment. If so, would it be good to also put the metrogel on my entire face to help with all the scratch marks?
My doctor perscribed me Metrogel 0.75. I have been using it since Jan 18th 2010 (last month). For the most part I have been clear, however I still see some LIGHT red areas like they are fading away. Have I not used it long enough? BUT, I cleaned the house yesterday, and now today I have a larger red area in the corner of my eye..probably from sweating? My doctor reccommended I take Doxycycline 100mg, accept I took two pills and had total stomach pain -with or without food!
My question is.
I went to dermatologist who told me I have sensitive skin with some broken capillaries and prescribed metrogel , which did nothing for me. Metrogel is prescribed for rosacea , but I never had any serious redness, just the normal flushing sometimes like everybody else in the world. Right now I have burning face pain and very oily skin , but no redness at all. Could I be allergic to something or is it something else?
Please I am desperate!!!! I have had this for 2 years already. I get these small red pimples around my nose and in my chin that burns don't know what to do. The doctors think is rosecea but I have been using metrogel and it doesn't seem to work if I put cortisone I get more of those small little pimples. I hate to have the pimples but i hate even more that are red and that they burn.
After visiting a women’s health center (about two weeks ago) because of these symptoms, I was diagnosed with Bacterial Vaginosis(BV), but the metrogel I was prescribed gave me a yeast infection. It also made my hands and feet feel tingly so I stopped it after 2 applications. The yeast infection went away with my period.
The NP precribed metrogel for 5 days at bedtime. I havent found the courage to take it yet, because its inserted vaginally. The warning states its a category B and can be passed through the placenta. Has anyone else taken metrogel during their pregnancy? If so wad everything ok?
Usually yellow discharge means some type of infection, if it is more white than yellow it is just your body cleaning itself out and is completely normal.
I was tested positive for HIV this February. I have been an occasional user of MDMA via syringe. I tested negative for Hepatitis B and C. i itch sometimes but i have still this watery grayish discharge.. i dont feel any burning sensation when i urinate.. i am just worried about this discharge.. i know its not a normal discharge because it is too many.. but on my first week of infection.. i hev this discharge,, chheezy cottage like discharge.. but compared to my discharge now.. it is watery.. grayish in color.. is it still yeast infection?tenx.
bacterial infection so they prescribed me meds but it didnt work at all and having intercourse now is not as interesting to me anymore. After intercourse when I urinate it has a burning sensation..is that weird? And. I dont get aroused anymore is like my vagina is numb...please help!! My doc said something about a pelvic examination so I would have to go get an ultrasound ...but would that even help?? Everything they've said to.
s the background. Recently I got this horrible burning, shortly after being treated for infections with metroGel & diflucan. The burning was relentless & severe with some itching as well. My current gynecologist diagnosed atrophic vaginitis & said that in the area that burns my skin is down to the blood capillaries with almost no protection, hence the burning.
s own and is gone confirmed 2 times by doctor.I was given metrogel I used 1 dose and had difficulty breathing headache and tremors.so the doc said stop med.Then went to see a gyno specialist and she said same bv and she removed a polyp from cervix it was benign she also told me I tested positive for urea plasma all my other std test are negative.HIv neg.no chlamydia,gonorrhea, trichomonosis all negative.she prescribed metrogel and doxycycline I tried the metro gel was taken off.
I have taken every med you can think of. Even tried boric acid. My main symptom is burning sensation in my V. Sometimes I have discharge with or without an odor. Every time my gyn checks me she does a culture and looks under the microscope. Now the culture always comes back negative. But when she looks under the microscope she she clue cells. I've been tested for stds all came back negative.
Metrogel but i was scared to take it because they didn't officially diagnose me. I told them I think I have it. I need them to confirm for me. Idk why they didn't confirm before prescribing me the meds.
Hi everyone...Recently I have been having several problems with the skin on my face. Up until about a year ago I had absolutely flawless skin. I'm 22 years old and live in Florida and used to go tanning alot but stopped about a year and a half ago. It started when I went on the birth control-nuva ring for ovarian cysts about 5 months ago and recently changed to yaz and have seen no difference.
The doctor now prescribed Doxycyline for 1 month and Metrogel 1%. There has been improvement, but very slowly with 2 flare ups so far. It has been two weeks since I stopped the steroid completely.
Will it ever go away? Will my skin return to the way it was before the steroid use? (I never had rosacea before)

I have been treated in the past with dry ice treatmtents. Recently I have been prescribed Minocin, and Metrogel. The metrogel seems to burn my skin. Does laser work for Rosacea? It is $1,800 for the treatment.
I am 54 years old and recently had my thyroid removed due to cancer. Could my Synthroid meds be aggravating this condition. Could these blisters be facial herpes, shingles. I have had this for about 6 months. I can't get into a dermatologist until September.

A week later, I came home from the gym, and my vulvular area was burning/irritated. I kept complaining to my doctor/have them culture my vagina and my urine and everything came back negative, but because I was complaining they decided they thought it was a UTI and treated me accordingly. It wasn't so of course the meds didn't help.Then they thought maybe yeast, so they had me apply topical gel-it only made it worse!
I have a yeast infection might start my period soon and im on Fluconazole and metronidazole (2 pills 72 hours apart and metrogel for 5 days once every bed time) yesterday was my first day on pill and gel and today i notiched like this blood like little clumps nothing like discharge i want to know if its normal ?
No temporary cure the best is the latest Clindesse 2% vaginal cream, single dose x 1 and that's it. Other options metrogel x 5 days, or po flagyl.
