Pretty easy to keep track of what is sent to the school (call the nurse) and what you have at home. An easier answer is to switch to Concera or Vyansse and take it once in the morning where you have total control. Any way, you look at it, you need to have a talk with the doctor.
Avatar n tn Concerta is a special formulation of methylphenidate that lasts longer. Generic methylphenidate is much cheaper, but is generally taken 2-3 times per day.
Avatar m tn I hope that this has resolved for you or that you have seen a physician. I think that you may have an infection. Burning in the urine is generally a key indicator. Does it burn after or during ejaculation? If you have not seen a physician I think that you should. They would have you collect a urine sample to check for infection. Good luck!
Avatar f tn My doctor recently put on methylphenidate for my resistant depression and today was the first day I took it, I felt super for the first 3 hours maybe, but then a little shaky and fatigue, is this normal on the first day? I also take lorazepam for my severe anxiety and i want to know if there's any adverse reaction, I mean my psychiatrist put me on this just want to know if my reaction is normal, other than that the first 3 hours I felt super fine the depression decrease tremendously.
Avatar m tn Ive heard that methylphenidate/ritalin wont be detected by most urine test but ive also heard that it will show up as methamphetamines, so i dont know what to believe. All i want to know is will it show up at all and if it does will it show my high levels of ritalin being in my system so the doctors will know i was abusing it.
Avatar m tn However, I have also struggled with ADD my entire life and now, finally, at 44, I have sought treatment for that as well. I was prescribed methylphenidate ER-LA 20mg. I am trying to determine the best strategy for taking these pills. I have been taking the bupropion first, then the methylphenidate about an hour later. I feel GREAT at first--focused, clear, calm.

Avatar f tn your son has apparently experienced positive results with Concerta which is a form of methylphenidate, while Adderall is a form of dextroamphetamine (Ritalin and Dexedrine). Frequently the forms of methylphenidate work better for ADHD Hyperactive while the dextroamphetamines work better for the Inattentive. Which is your son? To compound matters further if he is an "active" young man, is his activity "motor" or "distractablitIy" driven?
Avatar f tn Prescribed 20 mg methylphenidate three times daily. How do I determine if this is correct dosage? My PCP tested me 5 years ago but until I started going to counseling I hadn't taken it seriously, after seeing a counselor last year, she ASKED me if I'd ever been tested for ADHD and I was shocked but it became obvious when I started researching. It's very overwhelming at times but I'm past the denial stage and currently learning how to cope.
Avatar m tn i am taking methylphenidate two times a day one in the morning and one in the afternoon i'm fine in the morning because i go back to sleep when it is time to take my next dose after i do it makes me sick and have a headache and i am also taking 4mg of lexapro what should i do?
Avatar m tn My prescription ran out and I used a concerta my concern is if I have a urine test or hair follicle test will the methylphenidate in the concerta show up? Concerta is not my prescribed medicine.
5757880 tn?1395578022 Hi Everyone! I have a 10 year old son who is diagnosed with ADHD, Anxiety, SPD/IPD and rule out of Asperger's/PDD in 2013. Currently, we have him on Methylphenidate ER 30mg per day, but lately we have been noticing issues. Mind you, the school hasn't been very helpful this year with information on how he is doing so I can only go by the vague messages received... the first 6 months, they say he was great!
5757880 tn?1395578022 * Plain Methylphenidate (20mg / Twice a Day) * Generic Adderall (20mg / Twice a Day) * Generic Ritilan SR (20mg / Twice a Day) * Generic Concerta (20mg / Twice a Day) ... seems all the big money is in the extended release medicine. With this list, I'm unsure what would really be best for my son. He is 8 years old, he takes Concerta 54mg once a day in the morning. They are still evaluating him for PDD and also they will be evaluating him for sensory issues.
Avatar f tn kids with Adhd do have more of a problem with bathroom issues. You really have to work on a schedule with them and also be very consistent. I think susan ashley in her book , the adhd answer book - talks about it. at any rate, the book is worth getting formany reasons. You also might want to check out the posts on the child behaviour forum. there are always a lot of posts about wetting, etc and some very good suggestions.
Avatar f tn the fibers/filaments in the lesions are made of keratin and collagen produced by skin cells as a response to a complex bacterial infection. The keratin and collagen are produced in massive quantities. You can easily tell the difference between a pimple and a morgellons lesion by observing the hundreds of white plugs that are protruding and deeply embedded in morgellons lesions. Even the nastiest of pimples only have ONE central plug.
Avatar f tn If you're tapering the Ritalin, it should be a very slow taper under the guidance of your OB. The same goes for Hydrocodone. We don't advocate cold turkey detox on this forum ( or even tapering in pregnancy ). It's too dangerous to the unborn child. We always suggest managing symptoms with your doctor. Definitely do not take Imodium ( loperamide ).
Avatar f tn Beautician thinks the lamictal in my system might cause bad side effects such as blistering. Has anyone had experiences with this hair removal treatment whilst taking this med?
Avatar f tn Long story short, 2 people, 2 different ADHD medications. Vyvanse is completely out of system and undetectable in urine in 48-60 hours, Adderall completely out of system in 4-7 days. Personal experience - I take anywhere from 120-200mg of Vyvanse daily. I had negative urinalysis after 48 hours of not taking medication. Hope that helps...
Avatar f tn But there are a variety of meds out there in both the stimulant and non stimulant form and they all do things a bit differently. I can give you a site that covers all of them, but its kind of technical. So if you can be a bit more specific, perhaps I can direct you to a place with the info you want.
Avatar m tn Here in NZ the methadone services have been trialing Methylphenidate(Ritalin) in a double blind study in an attempt to stabilise people addicted to Methamphetamines. This is still in the early phase but initial indications look positive. All the best. Kind Regards Jeremy.
Avatar f tn My major problems all this time are fatigue and weakness in my legs. My previous neurologist had suggested and prescribed Concerta for some temporary help for those symptoms. I am currently taking a 54mg tablet each morning and I cannot tell that it really helps since I do have "good" and "bad" periods. Any information will be greatly appreciated. ...

Avatar m tn I am not sure, but suspects that she has been using legal drugs such as synthetic cathinones (N ethyl hexedrone, methylphenidate) not very often but on multiple occasions as well as xanax. My question is if occasional use by itself will cause further damage to her liver. I understand that her liver has a slower metabolism or somewhat decreased function, but is using these substances something that will damage her liver cells further? Thankful for your response.
