Hey, I was prescribed generic 10mg Adderall 1x per day by my psych, but when I tried it I felt slightly dizzy with ear stuffiness (the type when you fly on airplanes) accompanied by sharp, inner ear pain (in both ears). This lasted about 1.5 months.
Is there anyway to reduce this while taking adderall, and what could it be caused by?

I hate opana ER, especially the reformulation. I take them as prescribed with little to no pain relief and terrible side effects. They tear up my stomach and give me horrible indigestion. Yet, my DR wont switch me to something different.

Wow - 54 mg? Did you start off on a lower dose? That sounds awfully high... I've been on methylphenidate for about three years. (I take the brand Ritalin, but I'm pretty sure Ritalin and Concerta are about the same thing.) I started off on 5 mg, three times a day (of the non extended release) and I got a lot of benefit from it.

Hello my grandson is 8 and taking methylphenidate 54mg ER. Now what I'm seeing is that when he takes it he does zone out. I would like to cut the pill in half just to see how he act with just half the amount. Once again he is only 8 and I believe that the dose is to high. Please help a concern grandmother.
With this kind of severe pain, you really should get checked at the ER. You don't need a strangulated hernia on top of being this close to delivery. If you're still in doubt, call your regular OB's office now and tell the call service it's an emergency. The on-call doctor is better able to advise you better than we are. Go make that call!
I've been on vicodin for fibromyalga for almost 4 yrs. I've tried anti-depressants over the yrs which never helped. I'm wanting to get off the vicodin but am a single mom and moving cross country soon (long story) but do need to get off of them as i'm only 40 and already increased to 6 10mg tabs a day. My doctor recently put on methylphenidate for my resistant depression and today was the first day I took it, I felt super for the first 3 hours maybe, but then a little shaky and fatigue, is this normal on the first day? your son has apparently experienced positive results with Concerta which is a form of methylphenidate, while Adderall is a form of dextroamphetamine (Ritalin and Dexedrine). Frequently the forms of methylphenidate work better for ADHD Hyperactive while the dextroamphetamines work better for the Inattentive.
Which is your son? To compound matters further if he is an "active" young man, is his activity "motor" or "distractablitIy" driven?

Prescribed 20 mg methylphenidate three times daily. How do I determine if this is correct dosage?
My PCP tested me 5 years ago but until I started going to counseling I hadn't taken it seriously, after seeing a counselor last year, she ASKED me if I'd ever been tested for ADHD and I was shocked but it became obvious when I started researching. It's very overwhelming at times but I'm past the denial stage and currently learning how to cope.

Do not use Concerta if you have used an MAO inhibitor such as isocarboxazid (Marplan), tranylcypromine (Parnate), phenelzine (Nardil), rasagiline (Azilect), or selegiline (Eldepryl, Emsam) within the past 14 days. Serious, life-threatening side effects can occur if you use Concerta before the MAO inhibitor has cleared from your body.
I was recently on 30mg of Opana ER 2x a day and then I was allowed to take up to 4 tablets of 10mg instant release tablets for break out pain. I have found that the 30mg of Opana ER 2x a day is helping me tremendously. However, the 10mg tablets for the breakout pain wasn't doing well for me, so the doctor switched me to 30mg tablets of morphine up to 4x a day for breakout pain. I haven't been able to tell the difference yet, but I hope this is the answer to my breakout pain.
[Ok I have a quick question I've been prescribed a generic version of adderall 10mg once a day. From what I read this is amphetamine. My prescription ran out and I used a concerta my concern is if I have a urine test or hair follicle test will the methylphenidate in the concerta show up? Concerta is not my prescribed medicine.
