I've been intravenously using methamphetamine on a daily basis for over a year now. I am currently shooting about 1 to 1.5 grams a days. I am to have oral surgery to remove my wisdom teeth in at 9 am tomorrow and I used a little less than .5 grams at 10am today. Is 23-24 hrs enough of a time lapse between using and the surgery. I have a high metabolism, am 31 years old, a male and grew up taking ritalin(methylphenidate) until I was about 16. I've used meth on and off since that age.
I am a heavy daily user of Methamphetamine (MA) and I want to stop using. A few years ago I found that an injection of Flumazenil (2mg), once daily over a period of two days, helped remove my withdrawal symptoms entirely. I was able to stay clean for 8 months and still manage all of my responsibilities (i.e. keep my job). I have since relapsed and I am currently using >1gram of MA a day.
Regrettably, much of the literature and promotion of the drug in recent years has ignored or understated the potency and abuse potential of methylphenidate and Ritalin. This appears to have misled many physicians into prescribing the drug as a quick-fix for learning and behavior problems.
I want to emphasize that matters of this kind are vital but cannot be simplified.

After threatening to throw them out of the condo and cut off all funds, they told me they had quit. They slept for days and were very depressed. I just found out I was pregnant. I have been on 2 10/325 3 times a day since December since I broke my kneecap and found out I have a very rare wrist condition I was supposed to have surgery on on the 22 nd. I also have ADHD and been on Ritalin. I have weened myself down by a half a pill a day. Yesterday was the last one and I feel terrible. My back hurts I have no energy and I can't think straight. How long will this last and how bad will it be to come off the Ritalin?
This friend has previously been an occasional user of methamphetamine, and has not smoked since since the accident. He wants to do it once, but is trying to find out what the effects are (if any) of methamphetamine on healing bones. Any information you can share would be helpful.

12 to 14 hours for Vyvanse and 8 to 10 for Concerta. Thats very close to all day coverage and not necessary.
Second, they are of two different chemical classes. Concerta is a methylphenidate based medicine, while Vyvanse is an amphetamine based med. Usually you go to an amphetamine based because your methylphenidate is not working for you.
The only possible reason I can think of to take both would be to turn off your mind at night so you could go to sleep and stay asleep.
After reading this I went back and read your other post. When you talk about Meth are your referring to Methamphetamine or Methadone? Because the "voices" you hear and the turning off of the light so no one can see you seems like you would be talking about methamphetamine. If that's so, you may want to seek professional help. I grew up with many friends on methamphetamine who started hearing voices while on meth and they continued even after quitting.
i am not prescribed methamphetamine. while yes methamphetamine is highly addictive and highly abused. IT CAN BE PRESCRIBED FOR ADHD AND WEIGHTLOSS. Meth is a schedule 2 drug which means that it has a HIGH POTENTIAL FOR ABUSE but HAS MEDICAL USES. I dont believe it is used much at all but it is out there under the brand name of DESOXYN. i was curious if anyone out there was taking it. cocaine is schedule 2 as well. They can be prescribed.
I know amphetamine is the metabolite of methamphetamine, when you ingest meth, you have both methamphetamine and amphetamine in your urine, hair, or nails. I am about to lose my children over this and I swear I am not a user of methamphetamine. I know meth can be transferred through skin contact, is it possible contact with my husband after he uses such as laying with him, touching his clothes, kissing him, etc can make me fail the sensitive drug tests??
I am not familiar about with tics, but I can say that Adderall is amphetamine and is a cousin of methamphetamine whereas Desoxyn is methamphetamine. Maybe this is a drug that you could research thoroughly and might help him out. Best of luck with your son and his and your families recovery.
My doctor recently put on methylphenidate for my resistant depression and today was the first day I took it, I felt super for the first 3 hours maybe, but then a little shaky and fatigue, is this normal on the first day? I also take lorazepam for my severe anxiety and i want to know if there's any adverse reaction, I mean my psychiatrist put me on this just want to know if my reaction is normal, other than that the first 3 hours I felt super fine the depression decrease tremendously.

Would it be better to take methylphenidate first and bupropion several hours later? Or just spread them out further? (Taking them at the same time creates the same anxiousness, so I'd like to stagger them.) Or should I get a lower dosage of methylphenidate? (Or does this reaction really mean I do not have ADD?)
Also, I *love* coffee--but I fear caffeine on top of this mixture just makes it a bit too much. Should I switch to decaf?
your son has apparently experienced positive results with Concerta which is a form of methylphenidate, while Adderall is a form of dextroamphetamine (Ritalin and Dexedrine). Frequently the forms of methylphenidate work better for ADHD Hyperactive while the dextroamphetamines work better for the Inattentive.
Which is your son? To compound matters further if he is an "active" young man, is his activity "motor" or "distractablitIy" driven?
Prescribed 20 mg methylphenidate three times daily. How do I determine if this is correct dosage?
My PCP tested me 5 years ago but until I started going to counseling I hadn't taken it seriously, after seeing a counselor last year, she ASKED me if I'd ever been tested for ADHD and I was shocked but it became obvious when I started researching. It's very overwhelming at times but I'm past the denial stage and currently learning how to cope.

Basically it is an antidepressant. Has no stimulants in it. Thus I would think that it should pose no problem with urine or hair tests - unless, they are screening for antidepressants.

i am taking methylphenidate two times a day one in the morning and one in the afternoon i'm fine in the morning because i go back to sleep when it is time to take my next dose after i do it makes me sick and have a headache and i am also taking 4mg of lexapro what should i do?
