How about you try food supplements that have shown to have equal efficacy to Ritalin,Multiple vitimin with B Complex and Vit C . also Fish oil and been tried by many parents,with success, go into your local whole food store,if you have one called "Sprouts "they are very good and will go online for you to find what you need in a Natural Remedy to help you.If the drugs you have been trying dont work its time to find something less invasive that will, Good Luck.
i got a new dr and he canged me from adderall to methylin generic ritalin....do they have kinda same ingrediaents..it to be used for depresssion but he said i have some add symptoms also on on xanax and prozac,,he is upping my prozac...
I have even been given Methylin to try and help get me reved up. Does not help either! So, I do not know what else they could possibly have in their bag of tricks for folks like us...But, I hope it is something and soon ;0

My son was diagnosed with ADHD with impulsivity at 2 years old. I started medication 2 years ago and he has been on 3mL of Quillivant for the past year. I give it at 7:45 and by 2:30 it has worn off. It has been great and so far the only side effect I have seen is a lack of appetite. At 2:30, the impulsivity starts again so the doctor prescribed him methylin 5mL and that doesn't work at all and upsets his stomach. Has anyone had s similar experience?
My 11 year old son has the following symtoms after a streptosyme infection found in his blood in Nov 2008, and after taking methylin for 5 days in Dec 2008. Could this be related to dystonia and why?
1. frequent blinking
2. painful finger cramping
3. stress induced twitches in left side extremities
4. involuntary movements/jerks in left side extremities
5. muscle stiffness and jerks in left arm, hand, fingers, leg, foot, and toes when trying to relax

This was one of the tics that was caused by the medicine he was taking. We had to change the meds and then it stopped. I must add that he was exactly the same age and he was shy and a very respectful boy. What med is she taking? If I remember, I think it was the med concerta that had caused the problems. Every child is different and reacts different to the stimulant medications.
Just to let you know, the doctor may not think this is the problem and up the dose.
It seems like my son has tried almost every kind of medicine on the market to treat his very unmanageable behavior problems. He is at risk of being removed from public school mainstream programming since the school cannot keep him from threatening, frightening and attacking classmates. The calls from concerned parents keep flooding the Principals office. He has a 1:1 support staff who is even challenged to keep himself safe from him.

Hello I'm currently 9 weeks and I have a bad cough and cold any medicine that I can take that it's ok ??
I am 9 weeks pregnant and five days and I am having really bad panick attacks and depression. I was off my medicine for alittle while. But I'm wondering if I should go back on. Are any of you mothers taking medicine to help with depression/anxiety/sleep?? I am scared to do thins but I think it's the best.
I went and bought hard candies like worthers original instead of cough drops they taste better anyways lol and they basically coat your throat the same way without the worry of the medicine in the cough drops :)
I have a bad cough I can drink rubbussin medicine right? If that's the correct way to say it lol.
