Avatar f tn Hello, I was seen in the ER today for a migraine and they gave me a mixture of compazine, benadryl, toradol and a steroid through an IV. I was wondering what possible side effects I may encounter.
Avatar n tn I used both, and found that side effects are similar; tiredness, weight gain, and a slow pulse. Side effects are more pronounced as the dosage is increased. I had dosages from 25mg to 200mg. daily. Other reported effects are loss of libido, tightness in the chest, itching, irregular breathing, and irregular heartbeat. If you have any further questions, I'd be happy to respond based on my experience with the drug.
Avatar f tn I just started on Zohydro ER because the idea of not taking acetaminophen with hydrocodone was tempting. (There's a Black Box warning about the acetaminophen in Vicodin). The first day I started the Z. (about 5 days ago) I got less pain relief and much more pain than I had with 5/375 Vicodin! That's seems totally wrong but it happened. The dose of the Z is the same as I got for the number of 5/375s I took per day. Anyone else on Z. and how do you like it? Any side effects?
Avatar f tn Weird skin sensation now like tingling and also some shaking. Maybe the shaking from anxiety? Just afraid of contrast side effects. Any side effects from MRI dye that warrant a ER trip?
Avatar f tn Has anyone had any side effects from Depakote ER? My 24 year old son was just diagnosed with Seizures, after experiencing several episodes of lost of consciousness. Can anyone out there tell me if they have had constant nausea, fatigue and some heartburn from the medication?
653169 tn?1303446369 I do know that all to often things like this are not listed as side effects. The problem is that the doctors and or patients do not report them and so they too often get looked over as is the case here. I am sure there are many documented cases they just are not reported. I am not sure what the protocol is far as doctors reporting side effects but we as Pt's can call the pharmaceutical company and report effects. this will help many.
Avatar f tn I am supposed to start trileptal this morning but worried about the side effects particularly dizzines. Has anyone had these symptoms? what are the likelyhood that I would become dizzy and nauseas while taking trileptal? I will be starting out w/ 150mg twice daily for 3 days then increasing?
Avatar f tn I had an ablation last week for Afib and tachy and I have had non of those side effects. I was out shopping and active within 48 hours, I would get it checked out or at the very least call your doctor for their opinion. Good Luck!
Avatar n tn My doctor put me on Buspar, 5 mg 2x a day to help with my ADHD...but I have not read any solid literature on Buspar and its effects on ADHD symptoms. Is this a good drug to go on for ADHD? Has anyone else been on this drug for ADHD? I haven't noticed any difference in my ability to remember/concentrate but have been taking it for a little over a week now and seem a bit (I use this lightly..) less anxious...but, still need my ADHD treated.
2044839 tn?1331255841 I was recently tried on Zoloft and I thought the side effects I was having were withdrawls from my Effexor and new side effects from the Zoloft ... but it turned out I am allergic to the Zoloft and was having a reaction to it!
564735 tn?1263943526 Hello, Yesterday I was given Neulast for the first time and I am experiencing some flu like side effects...achy (sp?), low grade fever and chills. I did some research on the web ( danger Will Robinson) and the web pages I looked at said I should contact my dr's office. I am planning on doing so tomorrow morning ( I wasn't going to before I read about the side effects on the web). My question is have any of you had similar side effects and how long did they last.
Avatar n tn Admitted to ER for Atrial Fibrillation. Heart rate was around 170, rhythm was ragged. ER administered 4 shocks while I was under sedation. The electro-conversion didn't work, so they administered IV toprol, and sent me on my way. Heart converted to normal sinus rhythm some 30 hours later. Several days later, and I feel like I've been pulled through a keyhole backwards. Is this normal? And is it a result of the electro-conversion, sedation, toprol, or all of the above?
Avatar f tn Trimix is a combination of alprostadil, phentolamine and papaverine. Treatment with Trimix comes with some long term side effects. Mild pain, scarring and fibrosis are the common side effects. I would suggest that you visit a urologist to assess the dose requirements in your case. Best.
Avatar m tn I was put on Nucynta (not ER) in January. I did get tremendous relief from it (after years of a lot of different narcotics with little relief.) I have written about in some posts from January if you want to look at them. I had terrible side effects and I couldn't stay on it but the pain it did relieve (nerve pain and RSD pain in my arm) has not returned (though I still have it in my hand.
Avatar f tn ( I was prescribed Nuvigil by my neurologist and between the dislike of taking another pill, and the side effects and addiction possibility of the Nuvigil I am VERY hesitant to take it. I am at wits end! I have done ALL the steps and done everything but the Nuvigil and I am still fatigued. ANY Suggestions??? Poker247 a.k.a.
Avatar m tn Hi, I started taking Synthroid .075mg last weekend (Sunday),.
Avatar f tn No it sounds like you are either have a bad side effect from gabapentin or are allergic to it. I took 1200mg a day for several months and had no side effects other than being tired and memory problems. I haven't taken baclofen, so i don't know the side effect of that drug. Usually, muscle relaxers don't give you that bad of a headache. You may want to try Flexeril or another muscle relaxer.
Avatar f tn I have had it done but never felt that way if call just to see
Avatar f tn My 11 year old son has the following symtoms after a streptosyme infection found in his blood in Nov 2008, and after taking methylin for 5 days in Dec 2008. Could this be related to dystonia and why? 1. frequent blinking 2. painful finger cramping 3. stress induced twitches in left side extremities 4. involuntary movements/jerks in left side extremities 5. muscle stiffness and jerks in left arm, hand, fingers, leg, foot, and toes when trying to relax 6.

712802 tn?1274645485 Has anyone hadd experience with Opana - good or bad? Have you had side effects that went away after a few weeks?
475026 tn?1208226417 I had had the pvcs for at least 25 years so I was used to them and they did not scare me. At one point, I tried anti-arrythmics, but YUK to the side effects. My doctor suggested ablation(s) and I decided to go for it. My procedures lasted about 6.5 hours, but I was multi-focal and they were ablating conservatively. I wasn't able to go home until the next day, but probably because I had to lie flat for 6 hours and wasn't in my room until 4:00pm.
Avatar m tn Until last summer my symptoms were somewhat under control, I was taking anti-depressants and I believe that may have lessen the hyper/hypo effects. I am sure it did at this point. Since stopping Prozac I know the horrible side effects that was causing. Now I am feeling the effects of the Levothyroxine and hyperthyroidism. I may also add that I do not have my large intestine, as it was removed due to ulcerlative colitis in 1991, so I may not absorb medications as most people do.
1475202 tn?1536270977 Lol I used to use Lexapro but the side effects were difficult to deal with but the medication worked very well. Is there a better option out there for me other than Lexapro or Xanax? The withdrawals from Lexapro were difficult as well. Is dependency always going to be a factor when dealing with this type of medication? I know I need help with anxiety to be able to perform my daily functions and interactions but currently I do not use caffeine, alcohol nor am I dependent on medication(s).
