Avatar n tn My son was diagnosed with ADHD with impulsivity at 2 years old. I started medication 2 years ago and he has been on 3mL of Quillivant for the past year. I give it at 7:45 and by 2:30 it has worn off. It has been great and so far the only side effect I have seen is a lack of appetite. At 2:30, the impulsivity starts again so the doctor prescribed him methylin 5mL and that doesn't work at all and upsets his stomach. Has anyone had s similar experience?
Avatar n tn How about you try food supplements that have shown to have equal efficacy to Ritalin,Multiple vitimin with B Complex and Vit C . also Fish oil and been tried by many parents, with success, go into your local whole food store,if you have one called "Sprouts "they are very good and will go online for you to find what you need in a Natural Remedy to help you.If the drugs you have been trying dont work its time to find something less invasive that will, Good Luck.

Avatar f tn My 11 year old son has the following symtoms after a streptosyme infection found in his blood in Nov 2008, and after taking methylin for 5 days in Dec 2008. Could this be related to dystonia and why? 1. frequent blinking 2. painful finger cramping 3. stress induced twitches in left side extremities 4. involuntary movements/jerks in left side extremities 5. muscle stiffness and jerks in left arm, hand, fingers, leg, foot, and toes when trying to relax 6.
926258 tn?1249581760 yeah him too! hahaha he called me monday...his secretary forwarded him a very old e-mail about me going to the ER, so when he called, he goes "Oh, so I heard you were in the ER, whats up!?" I told him that I wasn't in the ER at all, unless "the drugs are that good, and I don't remember it, at all!" He then figured out it was an old e-mail and asked me how I was feeling and stuff, and we talked for a good 10 minutes... i love him!
Avatar f tn Thank you it just helps reading reviews especially being my first child
1735424 tn?1357433558 I had some gastro pain a couple of weeks after vic was introduced (week 10), this resolved after a couple of weeks. HGB, Platelets, WBCs and ANC were all normal prior to tx and became quite low. Rescue drugs were necessary to keep going. I was in a trial and completed a 43 week tx 6 months ago. It was tough but ok as I pretty much expected. Good luck with your treatment, what week are you in?
Avatar f tn I think you should go to the ER & also get a second opinion on taking the Zofran. I've seen on TV that it could cause birth defects. I hope everything turns out ok!

I am Thankful for all the "Up" time I have and the bit of energy to go with it.
20933636 tn?1707750366 Hi All, I was in a motorcycle accident 2 weeks ago. They did XRays and CT at ER. Then at same dr's office a week later, XRays. Doc's treatment plan is just a sling. He doesn't want to do surgery, at least at this point. Also, this Doc is quite capable of doing surgery. A friend from church had his rotator cuff worked on by the same Doc a few years ago (only found this out after talking about my injury and which Doc I was seeing).
Avatar n tn He takes stimulant medication (Methylin), and this helps quite abit, particularly with his hyperactivity. It also helps him to focus better. One of my friends has a daughter who is about the same age as our son, and she recently completed a five-week program to help her with attention and memory. The program is called Cogmed Working Memory Training. Do you think this might help our son?
Avatar f tn So my first was natural, second was csection and my doctor has me scheduled for a repeat c section on the 30th. Well long story short, I didn't get insurance until I was almost 30 weeks pregnant, so when it came time to getting a doc i couldn't pick. Well the Dr I got stuck with is insane. I don't like him at all, he has the worse reviews and the hospital he delivers at is the worse in town.
8726042 tn?1399978830 I just saw a couple reviews where they found magots in parents choice brand cereals and formulas
112358 tn?1203538839 My wife and I went to ER last week because my wife had a 5.5 cm ovarian cyst and we thought something is going on with the cyst . We got there doctor ran an Ultra sound and some other test and to our surprise he comes back and says : 1. You are not pregnant 2. you do not have a cyst . 3. you do have trichomoniasis parasite We were both shocked . Doctor has given both of us 10 days worth of antibiotics ( Metranidazol 500 mg ) twice a day .
1081992 tn?1389903637 from doing a websearch, it seems that the vast majority* of free MRI reviews are only for the spine. Why is that? Is it because spine MRIs are very quick and easy to read? If that is true, then why is that true? Or if instead this is somehow only about the economics of marketing for new patients, then why is that true for spine patients only? Any speculations? Also, are spine docs now using Artificial Intelligence to read spine MRIs?
Avatar f tn Okay so today I called to make an appt with an obgyn at channel islands obgyn and the nurse I talked to was super rude!!! I understand I'm 20 weeks and haven't been seen yet except for the emergency room visits I had, it was just really hard getting my insurance ready and moving and having to deal with switching insurance.
