I’ve read that the average dosage for adults is 30 mg/day. I’m a 25 year old male. I weigh 220 lbs. and am 5’11”. The only other medication I’m on is 100 mg of Zoloft/day for the treatment of depression. I have no prior medical issues. What would be the appropriate dosage range for me if I were to take this medication? I’ve read that it may have negative effects on the heart. I’m considering talking with my PCP about this but am trying to find out on my own first. Would 60 mg/day be too much?
45 and by 2:30 it has worn off. It has been great and so far the only side effect I have seen is a lack of appetite. At 2:30, the impulsivity starts again so the doctor prescribed him methylin 5mL and that doesn't work at all and upsets his stomach. Has anyone had s similar experience? The Quillivant is supposed to last 10-12 hours but doesn't. I really would like something like Quillivant that would actually last 10-12 hours. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you!
How about you try food supplements that have shown to have equal efficacy to Ritalin,Multiple vitimin with B Complex and Vit C . also Fish oil and been tried by many parents,with success, go into your local whole food store,if you have one called "Sprouts "they are very good and will go online for you to find what you need in a Natural Remedy to help you.If the drugs you have been trying dont work its time to find something less invasive that will, Good Luck.

For adults, we often say that FT4 ought to be about midrange. Babies, however, run higher levels of FT4 than adults. The FT4 range you provide doesn't appear to be age-adjusted (it looks like an adult range). Perhaps your pedi endo is adfvising you to increase because he knows babies should have higher levels??? Also, her TSH is quite high, and this usually indicates that a meds increase is in order.

My 11 year old son has the following symtoms after a streptosyme infection found in his blood in Nov 2008, and after taking methylin for 5 days in Dec 2008. Could this be related to dystonia and why?

Your Dr. is the best person to advise you. The good news is that if you have used this medication under a Dr.'s care and the recommended dosage, your Dr. knows what to expect and can withdraw baby medically and properly. Baby should not experience discomfort. If that is not the case (not accusing, just mentioning) and your usage is more then your Dr. knows, then it is very important he/she be made aware.
