Avatar f tn You can try for ferup, ferosoft chewable tablet, Orofer capsule and even people use Anemidox. Generally iron supplements cause gastrointestinal irritation or dyspepsia. Sometimes you need to go for different types of brand due to this. Orofer worked for me. Best to have it with vitamin c for better absorption. U shouldn't take calcium at the time of iron intake. Plus you shouldn't use antacids at the same time. Some prenatals have iron and calcium in it. It interferes with absorption.
Avatar n tn Chewable Tablets Once children are old enough to chew and swallow soft tablets, parents can safely administer the chewable tablet form of amoxicillin. Available in both 200 mg and 400 mg dosages, these cherry-banana-peppermint flavored tablets are more convenient than oral suspensions. The recommended dosage varies from 25 mg/kg per day to 45 mg/kg per day in divided dosages. Regular Tablets Older children who can safely swallow whole tablets may take 500 mg or 875 mg tablets of amoxicillin.
Avatar n tn If your son is prescribed 5 mg of Singulair then try to get that instead of a 10 mg preparation (you can get 4 mg and 5mg chewable tablets—ask the pharmacist or the doctor about these). Usually a medication which can be broken into half and used this way to half the dose has a line break on the tablet. Usually Singulair does not have such line breaks. Instead, ask your son’s doctor whether you can use Singulair 4mg granules. Do discuss this dosing with your son’s doctor. Take care!
Avatar f tn t be getting at least 100% of with the effervescent tablet (and some more than 1000% of) is the iron and copper and the others don't even mention those anyway. In that case, 3 multi's just seem like a bit of overkill, not to mention unnecessary expense. Some of us need extra calcium to prevent osteoporosis, some don't. I happen to be one that does.
Avatar f tn ask I had posted earlier, my 2 year old Chihuahua Tinkerbelle, has high liver enzymes in the 300+ and I have her already on ld and hills prescription ilk Thistle for Liver Disease...and was wondering if any one has used this...??? and if it really helps.. 599316 tn?1256921613 As far as I heard ( I don't know 100%) the prenatal vitamin are not suppost to be taken with food. Because you won't be getting all the vitamins from the pill if you take it with food. I guess maybe it depends on the brand though??? I heard it is suppost to be taken with either water or juice (100% juice).

11970398 tn?1443134602 Talk to your doctor if it's that bad. They should be able to prescribe an antacid that's not a chewable tablet of chalk. In the meantime maybe try rolaids? The citrus flavor wasn't too bad...to me anyway. Good luck with your relief. Though they say, lot of heartburn, lot if hair.

Avatar m tn 2 milligram is 2000 micro grams. Many take the last doses down to 1/4mg and 1/8mg and then dose every other and then every third day to try and minimize the "suboxone spanking" that almost invariably accompanies the therapy. Many times the withdrawal aspect doesnt come into play for several days due to the long half life that sub possesses.
Avatar m tn ve been using it for a couple days now and noticed something weird. When I desolve the tablet in a glass of water, and then drink the water the Dextroamphetamine will start to work much faster, and 2-3 times stronger also my pupils will dilate for a while..But when I just take the tablet orally without desolving it into water, it will work but not so strong and also my pupils dont dilate....Does someone know an answer to this?
Avatar f tn My doctor prescribed me these vitamin d3 wafers that I'm suppose to take weekly since my vitamin d is a little on the low side and he says vit d deficiency can cause several birth defects. So I've been taking Replesta vit d3 for 3 weeks now its one chewable tablet per week & just now I just read on the indications and use sheet "NOT TO BE USED BY PREGNANT WOMEN". Says it can cause heart defects in fetuses amongst other things. I dont know how to feel right now.
Avatar f tn if you dont drink allot of milk try taking a calcium suplement thats what my doctor told me to do plus side the chewable calcium tablet also help with heart burn just like tums.
Avatar f tn m in my third trimester now and I have been having uncomfortable acid reflux and heart burn. I found a very quick solution to the pain/discomfort and I want to share! Take a teaspoon of baking soda and mix it well with half cup of water, then down it like a shot and chase it with something that doesn't taste awful. Baking soda tastes disgusting, so try to bypass your tongue as much as possible.
Avatar n tn I used the bathroom while I was out there and now my groin is itchy and is slightly reddish. the skin on the left side of my scrotum has becom wrinkled and feels thick. Under my left eye it is slightly red and puffy with itching. I dont have any blisters or anything like that but I believe it may be just a mild reaction from the leaf. Am looking for advice on what this could be.
Avatar n tn I take a sip of water first, and then put the tablet in my mouth. I plug my nose with my fingers and chew really fast til the whole tablet is swallowed. While still holding my nose I take some water in my mouth and swish it around and spit it out in the sink. Maybe even doing this a few times. Then release the nose and there is hardly a trace of that awful bitter taste. Works like a charm. I wouldn't want someone to give up on this great remedy just because of the taste. Try it.
476246 tn?1418870914 Any time we eat carrots, or leafy greens we get a healthy dose of Vit. A and the leafy greens also have iron in them. I take one of the Viactiv chewable chocolate multivitamins. I read the labels carefully because there's different kinds of Viactiv vitamins and some of them do have iron. This particular one does not have iron. It has a very low amount of Vit.A but not 100% RDA. But, there again, I rarely eat carrots and don't eat hardly any leafy greens.
